Continued from HereDelilah would note she had exactly ten minutes. Barker was moving slow, but methodically. Cain would make it back to base about... Now, except for one problem. He'd run right next to a massing Barker soldier militia waiting for the man himself to begin the assault!

Kiyoshi was readying the troops for battle. Their entire force would be brought to bare in this battle. Everyone was gathering their equipment for battle and getting their assignments. The heavy infantry would be with Kiyoshi at the front with the melee. Meanwhile both affiliate gangs would be positioned to the flanks. The base forces would take the heart of the army and the military and minutemen would take the vanguard at the rear. Additionally the Calvary would take position to the side and rear of their forces in preparation for their attack.
Everything was riding on this.

Delilah
She wanted so badly to do something to barker that would at least stall him or keep him from getting any closer. But Kiyoshi had been very specific when he told her 'no combat and no endangering yourself or your team'. She would let out a frustrated cry.
Having seen enough and calculating that she had nowhere near enough time to dilly dally before she needed to make it back to the base, the mechanic abandoned her pursuit of Barker and sprinted off down the side alley, her mind mapping out the most logical route to the base, that of course being a simple straight line.
"Sergei, raise the Zeroes and Stu and tell them Barker's ten minutes out and we're coming in hot!" She panted as she slid over the roof of a car and dashed into the next main roadway, weaving in and out of the crowd with eerie accuracy as her body took over for her mind. She'd quickly avoid some civilians lounging in the opening of an alley by kicking off the asphalt, planting her opposite foot on the side of the alley wall and jumping over their heads before resuming her pace. "Once you get there, I want you Nick and Heather to start evacuating civilians IMMEDIATELY."
She wasn't too far off now, and running straight through had shaved a good four minutes off her time as the base started to come into sight.
Sergei
"Copy."
Sergei had just crossed the South Eastern border back into Crows' territory on his little bike, hollering to anyone who would listen to get out now before the armies moved in. In between raising the alarm, he would put his hand back on his bluetooth.
"Control, Sergei reporting in. First Black is coming in hot, ETA in ten minutes. Relay to Zeros and Stu Pott at once. Begin evac per First Black's instructions, over?"
"Over, thanks for the warning."
"Heather, Nick, it's Sergei,"
"Hey, what the hell is going on out there, everyone is freaking out?"
"Start evac of civilians, hospital patients, elderly and children into boats or safehouses and do it NOW, Barker is almost here,"
"...On it."
He knew the reason for this. Delilah wanted to minimize collateral damage as much as humanly possible.
He just hoped she would get here in time.
Cain
Cain had been zipping along at a good pace, making great time as he approached the base. He was in the clear...until he came out of an alley and who should be massing beside him but a large contingent of Barker soldiers.
He balked at first, but decided to speed through them, his dirt bike roaring as he skirted the crowd to try and get into the Crow's territory. And to help him on his way, he threw a deterrant behind him.
It was three little capsules and one large one filled to bursting with concrete silt and dehydrated vinegar. As they exploded, the overwhelming scent alone would set the soldier's eyes watering and clog their throats with the unbearable taste of it all. He would throw them one by one every ten feet on the left side and the last one at the front of the group, not only to cover his escape but to debilitate them long enough for him to get far enough into the Crows' territory and to the base. He would tap into his own blue tooth set to relay this to Sergei.
"Sergei, we have hostiles waiting for Barker, repeat, shit is going to get real FAST."
"I'm almost at the base. I'll send Nigel to front lines, over?"
"THAT'D BE PRETTY SWELL, THANKS."
Over on his right, he saw Kiyoshi and the whole Crows/Militia army almost at the point where contact would be and it warmed his larcenous heart. For now though, he had to get his shit.
In one of the many little hidden caches the Tengu had placed around the Crow's territory, Cain fished out his disposable ninjato which he strapped to his back, a CQC knife and his finger gauntlets, which were comprised of little caps covered in sharp bits of metal and sharks teeth that had washed up on shore.
Once done this, he would head to the front lines with Kiyoshi, Delilah's representative until she arrived, quietly awaiting instruction.

Cain gets through like a bamf.
The evac of civilians is running smoothly.
Barker eventually reaches his forces, and they get into formation. Four columns of fifteen.
A few more Enforcer Captains showing up bringing just as many soldiers.
Making four large formations. Two hundred and forty Barker soldiers/expiraments.

Kiyoshi makes sure his men are in position, waiting for Barker's men to arrive.
"Today... everything is on the line. All of hopes and dreams for the future, even our very lives. I assure you that will ask no more of you than I ask of myself. But I will ask that you steel your hearts and fight with everything that you have for as long as I may ask. Barker knows we are a great threat to him and comes to finish us... now..."
He holds his sword up high.
"LET US SHOW HIM WHY WE SHOULD BE FEARED!!! WE WILL BREAK HIS ARMY HERE!!!"

((ooc: After this post, we should wait for Mikey or something.)) Delilah would be running harder than she ever had in her life. It wasn't even like when the bombs fell and she had to run for three miles with an injured leg and her crying son in her arms. She hadn't taken her time, but she knew she had to pace herself or they would never have made it.
At the rate she was running now, wind was blowing hard in her ears and she was leaving a little trail of dust behind her. She was only a short distance away now from the base and..yes! Her sharp eyes picked up the Crows' forces getting into position with who else but Kiyoshi at the helm. She could hear the cheers coming from them and the faint sound of Kiyoshi's voice.
She could also see Barker's forces approaching. At this rate, she wouldn't be able to make it into the main gate. She looked up and noticed a telephone pole above her with the wires joining to it's twin inside the Crow's territory. She whipped off her hoodie, revealing her gray tank-top beneath and used it as a lever to pull herself up the pole. She would turn on her bluetooth as she started climbing, patched into the team she had spent the last seven months training.
"Okay guy's listen up. I have something to say to you lot."
She huffed as she scrambled her way up the pole. Halfway there.
"This war that has brought you here today. Ergh...it will define each of you. You might be a brother, a sister, a lover to someone. But today? You're soldiers."
A pause as she grabbed onto the top of the post and pulled herself up. She stood on what was virtually one leg looking out with a perfect view of the battle that was about to commence.
"fuckthisishigh...Barker gave you a purpose and you accepted the challenge. You all chose to be here, individually, because of him. Now...now you're apart of something greater. You are not alone in this fight. Our unity is something Barker can never understand."
She took the sleeves of her hoodie and began twirling it to coil it and concentrate the fabric. She looked down at the drop awaiting her and she gulped.
"There can be no room for mistakes. Everything you have trained for rides on this. Each of you needs to be ready to die today. Anything less and you will die."
Delilah climbed down about a foot and threw her hoodie over the wires. She tied the rolled up sleeves of the hoodie together to provide a decent hand hold to ride down as she braced her legs against the pole behind her, ready to push off.
"Expect no mercy. Give no quarter. Fight or die. Now, GET OUT THERE, AND FUCK SHIT UP!"
She jumped.
With her make-shift zipline engaged, Delilah would shoot down the wires, clinging for dear life to the cloth of her as she shot forwards over the line and into the Crows' territory, rocking her legs back and forth to give her more momentum.
As she approached the next pole, she bailed onto the nearest rooftop and landing with a crash she rolled across the tin surface. Smarting from her landing, she hopped down off the roof and jogged to the battlefield.
Nigel came out of the base loaded down with the First's weaponry, handing them off to her with something that almost looked like admiration. She gave him a terse smile.
"Thank you, Nigel."
"Mm."
Delilah would begin suiting up, strapping her katana to her back, putting her tool belt full of knives and various other devices around her waist and readjusting her hair clip before running off to the battle front.
IMPORTANT INFO:
Tengu company have the following provisions on them. 1 dispoable ninjato 1-2 primary weapon(s) of their choosing 5-6 little capsule balls with varying contents (powdered glass, vinegar pellets, smoke bombs) 1 helluva attitude problem.

{OOC} Since I think it's going to be alittle while longer before Silk comes back, I'm going to use her as an NPC for the purpose of this thread. Mostly cause I want her truck >_> {OOC}
It had been fifteen minutes since Silent had put the letter in Marcus' hand, a transcription from a message sent to them from the Crows main base. Marcus read about half way before letting out a vicious snarl and thundering out into the middle of the compound, bellowing at the top of his lungs for every member of the Northern Crew (Plus Silk, a distinction since she stood as his equal and not as a subordinate) to line up outside. Damn Barker for moving so soon! With everything going on at the compund, the training, gathering of resources and daily maintenance, this attack couldn't have come at a worse time!
'Well shit, it's not like I can ask him real nice like to please put off his offensive just for little ol' me now can I?'
Pacing back and forth with the message held in his clenched fist, he suddenly began to speak without looking at them. "Fifteen minutes ago we recieved a transmission from home base informing me that Barker is on his way with an army at his back." You could hear a pin drop from half a mile away just then. Marcus watched as the color drained from everyones face. Well, almost everyone. Silk just looked angry. She hated Barker just as much as Marcus did.
"Well? What the fuck are we waiting around here for then?! I saw we ride down now and punch that tattooed punta right in the fucking face!"
"Umm, I'm with Silk on that one boss!" Josephine chimed in with a whicked grin on her face. The others began to show some color and added thier voices in before Marcus stopped it with a sharp wave of his hand.
"Alright, Listen up cause I'm only gonna say this once. We don't have many fancy weapons, or Supplies, or vehicles or whatever. Hell, we barely have this compound on lockdown as it is. Now what we DO have is our brains and our bodies and trust me folks, both are going to be put through the ringer by the time this is all said and done cause I certainly don't intend to just lay down and die just for that jackass' conveniance! Well I say Fuck him, Fuck his army and Fuck his Fireball throwing Freak shows too! Cause it doesent matter if you bend time, Heal your wounds, cast lightning or even Shit bee's, You are going DOWN when we Kick you like a field goal in the GOD DAMN UPRIGHTS!"
Marcus was pacing again, Growing more animate, pointing and gesturing for emphasis as his voice echoed around the compound. "When Unfettered and I struck up our plans for the northern sector, He gave me a list and told me to pick out ten people to have for my team. Now I knew for a fact I would need ten of his best if I was going to hold the compound. Ten of the brightest, the strongest, the fastest and the most brave and by god I can see now that I'm a fan-fucking-TASTIC judge of character cause I got Exactly what I asked for! Now Lets go out there and Show Barker and his goof troop exactly WHY A Group of Crows are called a fucking Murder!"
They cheered then. Roared even. Some stamped thier feet, others clasped each others hands. All rituals who's purpose was to psyche themselves up for the task at hand.
"Ok, Silk go get'cher truck. Sarah and I will ride point, the rest of you pile in with Silk. Now Gear up, Doc you too, gonna need you to help out with the triage right away and meet back here in Ten seconds!"
Geared up with various knives, sledgehammers and other impliments of pain, The gang would scream out from the Compound, grim face and quiet as they drove at top speed towards the battlegrounds.
Before he would leave, Marcus would send a message back for Kiyoshi and Unfettered. A transmission with a single ominous sentance.
"We are comming."

Kiyoshi signals to the army to hold formation, waiting for Barker's force to close in. They would need to be as fresh as possible for the coming battle, especially with their lesser numbers. Let the enemy march down toward them and waste some preliminary energy.

"*Krch-sssss* Mr. Pot?"
"I told you... It's Stu. What's the skinny, Heather?"
"Large Barker force inbound... you MIGHT want to hurry."
Stu launched himself from the couch. He had been on Oliver duty, Delilah having taken to her urban jungle to scour the city for signs of enemy troop movements and other reconnaissance work. He quickly grabbed his sword, strapping it to his side before throwing on his jacket and grabbing his cell and throwing in the little blue tooth that all the Crows used to speak to one another.
"A bird by any other name doesn't smell half as bad." He grabbed Oliver and charged out the door, finding his nearest evacuation personel. "Take him. Oliver, buddy, you gotta go with them. We'll come for ya, don't worry, me and ya mum. Be good, savvy?"
He hugged the boy goodbye, a longer one than the situation called for but he wouldn't go to his grave having not held his son one last time. He ruffled the boy's hair and turned on his hell, flying down the hall and outside...
He was met with a standing army. He was shocked; every single Crow present must have been in that courtyard... and they weren't moving. But that large host on the opposite end of the street was hurtling towards them in a huge writhing mass.
Welp. Shit.
He pulled his sword out even as he was walking down the ranks towards Kiyoshi's position. However, another under-lieutenant pointed him towards where the Militia was drawn up. He stalked over, but immediately called up Kiyoshi.
"Yo, Kiyo, what's the situati-"
Above, someone came flying off of the powerlines, landing amongst the troops in the back. Delilah, he thought, immediately. He was right, as he saw her suiting up and turning back to the front. He called her up next.
"I'm in front of the Militia troops. Lets do that dance we practiced, yeah?"
After her response, if she gave one, he'd motion over to a few men. "Go get in those trucks, one on each side. Don't move until my command. Keep your radios on."
The two trucks in question were oil tankers, filled with some sort of combustible, probably gasoline, or so Stu hoped. They had the right markings. The troops threw themselves into the cabins and pulled into a position that would allow them to fly down two unoccupied alleys on either side of the Crow base. Those same alleys would give them access to the area outside of the base, and connected to a broader alley and street system... one that could turn the tide of this battle.

As the marched closer Sean barker would wave. The two formations of sixty troops on the outside's began a full on charge towards the Crows bulk forces. The last two formations of sixty stayed put. Watching.
They would clash with Crows forces head on.
Anyone up front would have full view of an obviouse Barker soldier attempting to tackle, or more than one even!

The mustering hall of the barracks had been stirred into a frenzy and then everything was quiet.
Kiyoshi had gone off and had rallied for the entirety of their troops the moment the first signs of invasion had been announced, leaving the populaces to defend themselves. In a matter of minutes to supplement Mr. Akechi's orders, Delilah Black's orders to evacuate the citizens seemed to be going well. It was a nice day to have a navy, better still to have surviving fishermen and other experienced seafarers.
As it was with most states of emergency, the people were instructed as best as they could... but those that were sent through were then assigned civilian ranks of orders for each ship. The people would be, unless Delilah specified otherwise with an overlying order, up to Hermosa Beach, where if need be the civilians could flee into Dragon territory if everything turned pale.
From the office/room of "Unfettered" himself, "Green" was dispatched to ensure that Crows had at least two boats left. This would not be revealed publicly, so as to enforce the "do-or-die" desperate tactics that Kiyoshi had. But the Crows Nest itself would then be the line of retreat.
The troops were being marshalled. It was time for battle. Awaiting outside the door of "Unfettered's" room was Tai and Dora, saluting at his flanks.
The doors burst open and the German walked out... in complete gear.
The goggles of his former vice commander.
Chest plate of Poseidon.
A cheap, English Kevlar vest.
A medallion given to him by an old school supervisor.
A neon beaded bracelet for good luck.
The war gloves of Ares.
The Correctional Facility Enforcer Badge on his pants, as a memento of the past war.
The hunting shoes of the other Greek Goddess, Artemis.
A bag to carry his goodies in (OOC: Tactics yet unused, see disclaimer for details).
At his side was not his hammer, nor the baton of Sol, or the Cupid’s Arrow Badge that he sometimes liked to look at, in memory of 259.
“Unfettered” carried to war his “Ambition”.
* * * * * * Moments Prior * * * * * *
He stared at the two canisters, his equipment at the ready…
With a sigh and a prayer he pushed one of the BLACK CANISTERS into his neck… and saved the other one into his carry-on bag.---
With violence and strength, the German did scream and felt the pain with which none can redeem. The power that coursed on in through all of his veins burned as though to leave no remains. The scream did die in his throat by a wire, leaving the German hunched over with perspire. His eyes were huge, his pupils as dials (dilated), and he stood up with a gasp to face the Crows’ trials.
His sworn vengeance was two fold, his façade near complete… but for one person his life he did not delete. Cutting “V” into his chest, he gave a battle cry… and slipped in his armor so mayhaps Barker might die.

”We are overriding that shit. Overriding issues via blue tooth---make sure the speakers are on.”
* * * * * * Moments Prior, Leading To Present * * * * * *
Speakers set up throughout the battleground blared with feedback and then settled. “Unfettered” marched to the battlefield with his guard in tow… his sword held carefully in both hands.
*”Mein dear Crows, my precious Militia."*
*“For ze last year, we have trained for zis moment, prepared for zis moment. For ze last year we have brought stability and freedom from chaos und enslavement. For those of you who Ich have known longer… it has been nearly a decade."*

*"REMEMBER, MY CROWS AS VE FIGHT TODAY:*
*”DU ARE NOT ALONE!”*
---But crafty as always, the German was set. Stu Pott drove to the front lines with trucks loaded with several gallons worth of their preciously stocked gasoline, oil, and crude oil.
Under already passed orders, the Barker force’s first wave was to be allowed to pass through.
…And then the trucks, carrying their payload, would launch the oil drums once every few miles, driving behind the first wave of Barker, the barrels already punched with holes…
…While Kiyoshi’s men would be told to engage as normal.
However, certain individuals of the Crows main force would be assigned to carry primitive torches that they would light upon the loud, honking signals of the trucks and would charge in spite of themselves to light the drums before quickly falling back.
If successful, this attack would create a gigantic fire wall (and perhaps a few explosions), the trucks left to be abandoned, and then the slaughter of the first wave would truly commence. If all of the two-hundred forty of Barker’s basic soldiers were sent forth, Barker risked cutting his fighting force in half!
Assigned to the right flank was Jazz Willis, supervised by Tadehiko, the Black Hoods would reinforce the right flank…
…And then with a roar, “Unfettered” himself would charge in from the left, covering the left-most flank, charging into the fray with his troops…
…And break open his “Ambition” for all to see.
AND UNDERNEATH, A SHINING, BEAUTIFUL SWORD SHINED AS HE WOULD SWING IT INTO THE HEAD OF HIS FIRST OPPONENT, THE BEAUTIFUL BLADE ADORNED WITH A VARIETY OF GERMANIC RUNES.
Today, the Crows would be like lions.

Call of the Divine
Sitting in the pitch darkness, smoking a cigarette, listening to the thunder of footsteps in the streets above, Vincent had never felt more out of place in his life. For the boy whose beginnings were a dingy room in an abusive household, whose parents abandoned him on a train, whose innocence was abducted from him as he was from his twin, whose young life was spent in an orphanage as an outcast, where he was bullied past the brink of suicide, after which he spent years doing dirty work for a world that didn’t want him, but who had finally found his respite when the world fell to its knees, sitting in the darkness of an underground tunnel listening to the booming voice of “Unfettered” rallying a group of strangers shouldn’t have given him such a chill as it did.
But oh, how it chilled him down to his very bones.
The German’s voice was all around. It filled the air above; it echoed down below; it resonated in the hollow chambers of Vincent’s heart. He was not afraid to say that he loved the man. He was not afraid to say that he was afraid, scared to death in fact, that he’d never see the German again—alive. Vincent had never been so scared in his life, despite all the terrors of his past.
But for all the heartache it caused him, hearing the mighty German’s voice did a strange and unprecedented thing: it gave him hope. Surely a man with such tenacious courage to do what he was about to do, a man with such passion as that, could never really die.
Not really. Not while Vincent Steinwolf persevered, with or without him, carrying his memory and his name like a sacrament. His heart would forever be a relic of human suffering and the will to endure; of things lost and found again; of love for one’s friends and family and unrelenting hatred for the forces that threatened them.
The German’s voice boomed above him like the voice of a god that was never present in Vincent’s life, but he listened now, and he felt the bittersweet stinging truth he’d been waiting to hear… all along. He sat in the dark, smoking a cigarette, waiting for orders. His sister and Teal and Tuvlan were there with him, unseen in the pitch-black tunnel. “Unfettered” was not too far away and would never be, whether or not he survived his fateful mission. Whatever happened today, the possibilities blurred by fear and hope and uncertainty, Vincent was more certain of one thing now than ever before in his life: he did not feel alone.

Delilah would finally reach the front of the army, keen blue eyes shifting over what would soon become their battlefield. Maybe even their graves. This knowledge did not fill her with fear or anger or battle lust. It was another plateau of something that, once upon a time, she thought was a lie.
Peace.
There was no other word for calmly looking death in the face before dancing with her, knowing every step, every glance could be your last. The men and women with her now we're about to have their own little dance to partake in. How many would live to see the morrow? She hoped for each of them, just as she hoped for the world's renewal in it's ruined state. The people in her life...she owed them much. The least she could do was pray.
The Barker forces began their charge and Delilah quietly closed her eyes, receding into herself as "Unfettered"'s words washed over them.
'Unfettered'. Winters. Brother, comrade, friend. Life-saver. I owe you and Dora and Tai and 'Teal' and 'Green' and Marina so much. You made me part of your family and dragged me out of rock bottom by my hair. If it weren't for you, that stuff might never have happened to me. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be anywhere near the person I am now because of it. Thank you, brother, for the honour of being in your service.
Kiyoshi. Your drive and ambition led us to this point. Thank you for your trust and courage, for being a kind and compassionate leader with the strength to do what's right. I will honour my promise and I will defend the home you have given me with my life. I will not fail.
Oliver. My beautiful son, my inspiration. This is all for you, little one, so that you will have a future to thrive in. Any good mother would gladly die for her child. For you, for your future, I will lay my life on the line and fight for that chance. That is what it means to love: sacrifice. One day I hope you will understand. Goodbye, little love.
Stu, love of my life, the one I waited for years to return. You kept your promise and we picked up like nothing ever happened. You proved to me and everyone that hope alone can get you through anything. You are my confidant and best friend and I love you more than there are words for. No goodbyes. We're both going to walk out of this. And even if we don't, I'll always wait for you. Not even death can stop us. I love you.
Marcus. You are a natural warrior and have made me proud to be your friend. We could have been more, and I hope you can forgive me for not taking that chance. But you will always be my great 'what if'. If there's anyone who will survive this, it's you. Notoriously hard to kill, right? Luck to you, sir knight. I'll be fighting alongside you soon.
David, Olesya, Mathew, Bastille, Dragons all in your own ways and, more importantly, friends. For you, we stop him here. And even if we don't you are all strong enough individually to rid the world of this stain. We might not be fighting together, but I will fight with each of you in my heart. Thank you for your lessons, your bravery to endure what you have and to continue to live in spite of surviving. Take care, friends. I'll kill a few in your names.[/I]
She her eyes opened as "Unfettered"'s speech reached it's climax. There was a happy smile on her lips and tears in her eyes. The strength of the forces around her, of her oldest friend's words bolstered her own, making her stand a little taller and widening her smile. She watched as his blade found the first enemy and a cheer went up.[/size]
"I'm in front of the Militia troops. Let's do that dance we practiced, yeah?"
She laughed and tapped her ear piece to reply. "I'll let you lead, love."
One of the soldiers jumped at her in an attempt at a tackle. In one fluid motion, her sword left its sheath cutting downwards in a diagonal line, cutting the man straight through. As he started to fall, the energy Shinju created would continue past the dead man, colliding with the man behind him and knocking him off his feet. She stepped in, feeling lighter and swifter than she ever had before as she turned on her hips to shave the top part of another soldier's head off, the blow back from that careening into the neck of the man beside him, causing him to choke on the sudden but temporary, deflating of his windpipe, just long enough for a Crow to gain the upper hand.
Again, Delilah would step forward as the two armies clashed, thrusting her sword into her foe's gut, making the enemy behind him double over as the energy strike hit him. As he fell to his knees, Delilah swiftly beheaded him before moving on.
The rest of her team currently present on the field comprised of Talon, Nigel and Cain. Cain and his deflated mohawk was near "Unfettered": even though the man had a considerable vanguard, Delilah left nothing to chance and ensured one of her own people would be present at all times, whether to assist in relaying orders or just fucking people up. He was good at that.
He would meet the first wave with a snarl and lunge at one of the men trying to tackle another Crow, finger gauntlets seizing the man by his throat and puncturing skin with the metal and shredding it with the sharks teeth.
Nigel would now be standing beside Kiyoshi, his heavy cast iron Tonfa in his sturdy dark hands. He was of the opinion that Kiyoshi could handle himself, and would simply provide back up for him.
One solider came too close and Nigel's arm positioned out at him, catching the man in gage teeth with the heavy iron weapon, shattering his jaw. As the man started to emit a bloody scream, Nigel swung his other arm up, hitting the main the top of the head with a sick crunch and a metallic clang. He dropped and Nigel turned his body as he flipped the Tonka around in his hand so that the longer end was sticking out, smacking the nearest enemy in the temple, his eye flying out if it's socket as the orbital bone broke.
No mercy. No quarter.
