[/color][/center] Kyrie emerged from Mathew's house, some time shortly after Levi's induction, slinging her pack over her shoulders. The weight was comfortable and just edging on heavy. Water. A little food. A few other things rolled up, just in case she didn't immediately come back. She wouldn't stay away for long. She straightened after making sure her shoes were tight, leaped from the front porch. She hit the ground running, her stride surprisingly ground-eating despite her petite size. She didn't look at any of her returning Dragonkin, blue eyes focused on the path ahead as she sped off. It had been a while since she had just ran for the purpose of running. Or perhaps she was hiding again. Regardless, she expanded her stride, slipping through, around, and over buildings within the Dragons' realm, but never stopping, always pushing faster, higher, farther. Eventually, she found herself leaning against the rubble on a "rooftop", half-in, half-out of a shadow. She was shuffling through her pack, looking for something. 'Hiding.'Yes, Leon knew she'd been hiding from something. The past, perhaps. She took out a shiny piece of paper, looking at the smooth white back, and the words delicately scrawled there. Sív pide köd. Pitäam mustaakad sielpesäambam.The blonde smiled at the words, taking a sip of the water. Kyrie drew her knees to her chest, just looking at the white side of the paper for now. Calling an end to Levi's fight, and stating the words to welcome him had been hard. But she'd kept her voice level, sure. It was genuine. That was, and wasn't, the problem. The problem stemmed from her own induction, and the staggering, overwhelming feeling from the collective welcome. Setting the water bottle back at her side, she reached up to brush her hair back. Overhwlemed. Bittersweet. Confused. She still felt like she was on the outside, looking in. Even despite the welcome into the Dragons. She sat in quiet contemplation, the sun on the back of her head, her back in shadow. Kyrie wasn't ready to turn the item over.[/font] |

Levi walked through a street within Dragon territory, his new home, receiving odds looks as people noticed the noticable change in his eyes, as he looked back as he was still adjusting to the ability to see and track auras. He would pick a Qi signature and follow it without looking, just by feeling, and it didn't seem to matter how far it strayed from his location.
remarkable....my fortune has finally turned in my favor....for now anyways...
Levi suddenly noticed a Qi signature hopping quickly around and between buildings. A spy perhaps? Levi would chase to find out, making his way over rooftops in hot pursuit. The signature stopped before he caught up and he wasted no time catching up as the signature was much weaker than his, if it was a spy, he would make sure it didn't get away. As he approached, he slowed down to a walk, rounding a corner and seeing the familiar face, half hidden in shadow. He smiled and waved as he walked up, gesturing at the paper.
"Hey, haha, I thought you might be a sneak the way you ran through the buildings.....what's that?"

Her eyes darted up at the approaching footsteps and her chin raised slowly. A few quick blinks told her that, no, it definitely wasn't an illusion she was seeing.
'Je ne sais pas je ne peux pas avoir un moment de paix...mais, ça pourrait être pire.'
"Not quite." Her head shook, and the bottom of the item was pressed against her leg. "Not here."
Perhaps if she was told to go and infiltrate somewhere else.
"A personal reminder."
No explanation aside from that, but she didn't try to deceive him of the purpose.

Levi nodded in acknoledgement, understanding that it was clearly not something she wished to be asked about. He placed his hands in his pockets and leaned against a nearby portion of wall, keeping a respectful distance.
"You're a very private person....I can relate to that...not many people really know me either...."
Levi cleared his throat after a slight blush, he normally didn't share personal facts about himself, let alone to people who barely knew him and he was unsure why he had devulged such information to Kyrie. He decided to change the subject.
"So....not many people can sneak up on me.....yet you pulled it off pretty well...If I may ask....how did you do it?"

Kyrie nodded slightly, able to glance at him though she didn't stand up. Instead, she just sat straight, gently tucking the item back into her bag, and then taking another sip of water. He was interesting, this one. Dragon Slayer, Dragon, and yet he was divulging information that - clearly enough, by the blush - he hadn't meant to divulge.
And he provided still more information, and she was gleaning all she could.
Perhaps she could return the favour.
Her head turned so she could actually look up and address him, allowing her legs to remain bent at the knees.
Her toes wriggled within the shoes[/color]. "These are handy, though normally I am adept at moving in silence, these enable me to move completely undetected by those weaker than I am." She trailed off with an innocent - albeit owlish - blink.[/font]

Levi admired the shoes as she spoke, impressed that such items existed as they certainly didn't when he had been in this country before.
"Well those shoes would indeed have been nice a few times during my times here before....and at #552...."
Levi looked down at his gloves as he mentioned the old school, memories, good and bad, flooded back to him before he turned his attention to her late rcomment. A rare wry smile cracked across his face as he folded his arms, a playful tone in his voice, again something most people had never heard from the ex Silent Pillar.
"Stronger huh? Now that doesn't make sense.....my ears must have just been dirty that day...."
Levi returned the olwish blink, the smile still on his face a fact that had not eluded him, he found himself smiling alot around this person, raising questions he wanted to find the answer to.

Schools. C.P.S. Yes, even she remembered that. She said nothing on the subject, however, leaving the past to lie, especially on such gloomy topics. Her eyes strayed to her bag, then back away before she blinked up at him.
The smile, the light to his eyes--she certainly couldn't say she remembered them being that colour--his sense of humour, the dry lilt to his tone.
Interesting.
She gave a ghost of a smile, her tone soft, yet dry.
"Perhaps you should shower and ensure you have washed in and behind your ears." Her head slowly tilted to the side, wide eyes uncannily innocent; a foil to the soft wit in her voice. It wasn't quite insulting, though he could perhaps take it as such...but instead, she was quietly teasing. "Or perhaps your pride would be less offended if I used the phrase 'those lacking skill in observance'."
Oh, she had seen that he was stronger and faster than herself, but that she could move without him being able to detect her was a priceless little gift of amusement. Aside from perhaps Mathew (and even David and Leon), he was one of the few people she had relaxed enough to let her lighter side come out with. Unnerving, yet...interesting.
Perhaps it was his demeanor, his 'aura', that was a bit of a balm.
Much as it calmed her, it made her more wary, all the same.

Levi chuckled lightly, becoming more aware of how many times he had done it and how easy it was to be around this person. Normally he limited his interactions with people to what was necessary, but not with Kyrie. Was it her aura, which seemed to compliment his? He was unsure, but he found himself walking towards her, taking a few steps and sitting down on what was probably a support beam once, still a respectful distacne from her, but not nearly the space he gave most people if he had the option.
"Yeah, I suppose my aural hygene could be called into question if someone like you is sneaking up on me..."
Levi's smile remained small, but it had not left his face since he got there. His tone was indicitive of light teasing, he was thoroughly enjoying this rare exchange.

An impassive blink met his movements forwards, turning to take another slow sip of her water. He was kept in her peripheral vision, and she slowly brushed her hair over her far shoulder. She remained as she had been, silent and unmoving, but sitting with dignity.
"I have to say I am surprised you have not been chased down already. I could smell you from miles away." She shook her head, as if in disapproval. "You were no challenge to track and sneak up on."

Levi's smile grew a bit as she teased him again. A younger Levi would have simply taken offence, not understanding the light hearted nature of a good tease. He began to blush as his next words came to him, despite his blunt nature, he found opening himself to someone uncomfortable. He looked at his feet as his nerves seemed to calm when he looked away.
"Well....I suppose that just means someone needs to remind me to do it....too bad I don't talk to many people...."
Levi looked at Kyrie again.
"...except you I suppose..."

Kyrie found herself blinking, again.
That was unexpected, and an instinctive part of her that 'hid', wanted to just disappear. Over all, however, she didn't know what to say. It was a decently similar situation for her...aside from perhaps Mathew. But there was a purpose, there. Bastille, David, and Leon were interesting, but hadn't earned her trust. David was perhaps the closest out of them all.
Her expression turned thoughtful, if a little pensive.
"Perhaps I could remind you at a distance, should your smell return to being horrid." She seemed to leave the second comment alone, feeling truly uncomfortable at such a simple comment. It set off warning signals; she wasn't sure she wanted to face that, right now.
Too close, and yet, it wasn't like he was "close" at all.

Sensing the discomfort his comment had caused, Levi raised an apologetic hand. He had forgotten for a moment how similar they were, meaning expressions such as the one he had just made were dangerous if not made carefully and slowly, not all at once. He looked at Kyrie apologetically then stood up, walking back towards his "spot" on the wall, facing it as he spoke.
"Sorry, I misspoke....that was....discomforting I'm sure...."
Levi was unsure what to say at this juncture, his mind wondering why he had said what he had said. She was clearly very cautious of how close people got to her, a trait the two of them normally shared, why it had lessened in him was beyond his awareness.

Kyrie's eyebrow quirked just a little as he got up again, and retreating. She felt the first tinge of guilt, despite only reacting and feeling what she normally would.
She breathed out softly.
"You were simply saying what you feel. If that was a crime, I am certain most of the remaining populace would have been killed."
Another sip and then she tucked the water bottle away, back into her pack, her gaze on her task, but her head tilted enough so that she could see him in her peripheral vision. His apology was accepted, if perhaps a little unneeded.
But, it was another tick in his favour, from what she had already observed of him.

Levi lowered head, one hand on the wall, and smiled, glad he had not crossed any lines that were never meant to be crossed. Levi turned and leaned his back against the wall, maintaining a respectful distance a bit longer. He looked up a little, his steel eyes gazing at Kyrie.
"I suppose so....I see others do it so much, I'm surprised I forgot that."
Levi let out a cool breath before he continued, looking away and chuckling lightly making a joke.
"I'll figure out talking to women eventually...I'm only 26...I've got time...."

Steel met water, and Kyrie tilted her head. Another very slight smile quirked her lips.
"Those observation skills..." She uttered quietly, but still audibly. His next words had an eyebrow disappearing beneath her bangs. Despite the joke, it edged on uncomfortable. Woman, hm? She seemed very young--appearance-wise. Perhaps her mannerisms gave her away.
To disguise her discomfort, she responded. "I have a feeling you will have an easier time, the more you speak to others."
