She'd left her 'opponent' tied in the most interesting way in the tree; hog-tied by all four limbs and hanging in the air. But that had been a feat of strength and leverage with rope to bind him. There was no way she could even think to drag someone back through the darkness, either physically or using her qi.
Even if it was night.
A painful feat it had been, but one she'd accomplished before he had awakened. She left with him glaring burning eyes into her back before she stepped into shadow.
As it was, once she got back into Dragon Territory, passing from shadow to shadow and covering ground when they didn't connect to one another, she had to pause.
'...ho--'
She halted that thought, swallowing hard. As she emerged from the shadows, she leaned back against the building it was connected to and sank down into a crouch, her back braced against the wall.
"Ah-haa..."
Her ribs hurt. She figured if they weren't broken or bruised, they were perhaps cracked. But definitely bruised. Then there was a matter of the other strikes she'd endured, though she was fairly certain she didn't have any serious injuries. But she was going to be bruised in many interesting shades of black and blue.
She tried to breathe as softly, as slowly, as possible as she stood up, teeth biting into the inside of her cheek.
The blonde didn't complain, but left her arm wrapped around her side as she stepped out to walk the rest of the distance. There would probably be a couple pats out tonight, anyway, even at this hour.
Chances were likely she would run into them, and the last thing she needed was them thinking she was a spy, as Levi had hinted at.
It was so much less painful, but she shouldered it and used it to push onwards.

Instead of encountering a patrol she would encounter Mathew himself who was out for a stroll during the evening. His metal breastplate of Aries glimmering faintly in the moonlight, where it wasn't covered up by his coat at least.
Unlike Kiyr his evening had been fairly uneventful, and full of silent contemplation. He was still getting used to the thought of being a Father. And it put him in the complicated position of figuring out if he needed to be more careful so he didn't get himself killed. Or if he needed to move faster to win the war by the time his children were born. A puzzle he had been mulling over for days.
He felt Kiyr's footsteps before he heard them or saw her, clutching her side as she staggered forward. his pace quickened as his lips pressed together. Injured? Seemed like it. Which was trouble in all likelihood.
"Are you alright Kiyr?"
She was his apprentice and he would put her in situations where she would get hurt and she could deal with that. But he hadn't sent her on a task, which meant that his concern wasn't for her apprentice, but for another Dragon. Upon closer inspection he could see that things were not alright, the red mark on her neck, the bruise on her jaw and the blood on her hands. No, she was not alright.
"What happened? Who did this?"
His feet shifted as he sensed the area around. Feeling for more footfalls. Wondering just how far she had gone from the site of the attack and if she was being pursued.

Kyrie frowned as she stumbled with a staggered motion, pausing long enough to straighten and then forge onwards. It wasn't long after that she recognized the figure coming towards her. Mathew. She couldn't quite smile - it would probably only come as a mild grimace at this point, anyway - but she didn't stop walking, either.
When he voiced his question, she blinked and slowly shook her head.
"No, but, I believe I will survive."
Once he was with her, she did stop, trying to keep straight even though it pulled at her ribs. She didn't want to cough, but let out a slight one and then immediately scrunched her eyes shut. Ouch. Definitely cracked.
"One of Barker's men, from what I gathered." A pause as she considered how to word this next part, then continued on with an even but dry tone. "I gave him something to keep him tied up and occupied, and he was kind enough to agree to hang around until I brought someone to talk with him. He mentioned you, actually."
Her gaze darkened a little, despite her casual tone. It wasn't nearly so unimportant at that, but...well, Mathew would see her particular brand of humour first-hand if he decided to go with Kiyr to see.

"I see. Do you need care right away? Or do you want to take me to this guy?"
He asked with a small smirk. He had an idea of what he might find based on what he would have done if he had said that. He was expecting the guy strung up by his ankles over a tree or building or something.

Levi stood on a roof in dragon territory, brow furrowed and eyes closed, arms folded and his mind focused as it normally was, but the subject of his focus was not a what, it was a who. He was unused to his thoughts returning to someone and in such a manner. His heart sped up and he became distracted each time this happened. Levi chuckled as he came to a realization, shaking his head.
Seriously? I thought I was past this....
Levi's thoughs trailed to Varron High momentarily, though they soon returned to the previous subject. He "searched" the area, finding Kyrie, her Qi weak, certainly not life threatening, but worrisome. He leaped between rooftops, worried about the other Qi standing near her, was it one of Barkers? Whatever it was it was incredibly strong. He moved to the ground as he approached the two Qis through an alleyway, slowly pearing around the corner, recognizing the man helping her instantly.
Ugh Levi you moron.....worried for nothing....
Levi continued to watch so as to not alert them to his prescence and not interrupt anything he shouldn't, wondering who this assailant who had harmed Kyrie in such a way could be.

And when he felt the tremor of someone dropping down he stomped on the ground, a large spike of Earth shooting toward Levi. His eyes on Kiyr still.

Levi felt Mathew's chi surge an earth spike shooting from the ground as he preemtively hopped back, narrowly dodging the spike. He walked out from his hiding spot, hands in the air in surrender.
"No.....it's just me, I wasn't sure if you were the one trying to kill her until I got here a few moments ago. Glad to see she's in a good hands, should I go?"
Levi wanted to see the one who had done this to Kyrie, but Kyrie was not in danger and he would not insist on staying if asked to go.

"I made it back, I can hold off without treatment for a while longer."
Her lips quirked upwards in answer to his own before it slipped away at the question.
"Not in so far as I know. I moved quickly despite the injuries I sustained...but I would prefer to go back sooner, rather than later." She lifted her free hand, keeping the other clasped against her ribs a moment, then slowly released her side, closing her eyes with a mild wince before opening them. She twisted her hand in the air, frowning just a little at the mostly dried blood. It obviously wasn't hers. "He seemed to have a healing factor of some kind. I would guess it was his own qi, but...anything is possible."
She paused, turning her head to look at Levi, somewhat surprised even he was here...though Mathew had had quite the following when he returned from his encounter with the assassin sent by Barker. The concern, all around, was nice, even as it made her a little uncomfortable. But she would take the fact it reinforced her belief and loyalty that she was part of something...
"You do not have to leave unless Mathew thinks otherwise. We are going back to my assailant shortly."
Who knew if Mathew would take them through the ground, or if they would walk. She wasn't going to hitch a ride all the way there within his shadow, though.
The fact she didn't brush him away was something of a conundrum to her. True he was a fellow Dragon - and she could plainly see more powerful than herself, as he'd displayed simply in his induction fight - and that he wasn't competition, and he...intrigued her. It still didn't make much sense, she was injured and really didn't care to have people see that. She didn't want sympathy, didn't want to make a scene.

OoC: I do hope that this is still considered open. Lol. It will be short since I am posting this on my phone at work during a short break.
IC: Walking through the area with the intention on finding some prey, Tobias jumped silently from roof to roof as he searched. Nighttime was the time he came out to play, mostly since the sun blinded him. The fact that he prowled at night and was frequently covered in blood had spread the rumor of a vampire running around. It greatly amused him that he had been given that title by those who saw him hunting. Having his canine teeth sharpened didn't help either. As he came to a great on top of a roof ledge, Tobias listened to the so ends of the night and located what could be his next prey. Drawing in his power, bloodlust, and killing intent to better hide himself; he moved quietly in the shadows of the night to a building just above those speaking. He would wait and watch, for now.

Levi looked at Mathew and then his eyes snapped upwards, to one of the rooftops behind him, making sure to not turn his head. He spoke to his fellow dragons in a hushed tone, senses trained on the foreign Qi signature.
"We have company......around my strength....roof behind me.....I can light it up any time you're ready."
Levi kept his Hakko ready to go, awating the word from the Earth Dragon, at which point we would light the Qi signature up with a decently bright light from his back.

Mathew nodded, giving him the que to light it up. And with the light shining he would put two fingers in to his mouth and let out a piercing whistle to catch the attention of whoever was up there. With how many assassination attempts they have had on their lives he was not in the mood to fuck around. If it was a Dragon scouting around, this would be the chance to come down. If not, well it was their chance to strike.
"Come on down here and let me get a look at you."
Because if he had to go up there he was going to be angry. And that would not end well for whoever was up there.

Kyrie looked between Mathew and Levi, her sharp hearing easily catching the hushed tones, especially with the close proximity. Her head tilted to the side, and a slight smile crossed her lips--there and gone again as Levi hit the lights and Mathew let out his trademark whistle.
She concealed a wince at that, standing impassively with one arm crossing behind her back to grasp her other, standing at ease, but ready.

Sighing as he closed his eyes and shielded them from the light, Tobias shook his head as he listened to some pretentious fool bark out a command for him to show himself. A mocking laughter rose up from within him and was suppressed before it escaped as he took a second or two to decide on his course of action while he was still blinded by the light. As curiosity grew greater than his need to hunt, Tobias smiled to himself as he jumped from ledge and window between two buildings on the way down toward the group without making a sound or leaving any indication that he had been there. When he jumped to the ground, Tobias walked calmly and carefully toward the group. His footsteps were light upon the ground and quiet. He still was unable to see do to the bright light that was being shone.

As the unknown person obeyed Mathew's demand, Levi dimmed his light to a mere flashlight's brightness and then to nothing as the man walked into other sources of light. He watched him carefully as he wondered who this person could be, studying his Qi and feeling a sense of familiarity from him, though Levi was unsure why. He said nothing as he awaited the stranger's introduction, but one thing he knew for sure, he was no Dragon.

"Just like the underground facilities, Levi, Earth Dragon." It came out very hushed, a whisper, as she turned.
She moved within the super-bright light, using it for cover until she reached Mathew's shadow, and disappeared before the light started to dim. With her ribs - and a sneaking suspicion that if this one was in Dragon Territory and perhaps wasn't a Dragon, he would be skilled - the way they were, she was wanting to play it a little more safe.
If she was in the open, she presented a vulnerable target as the weakest one of their trio. She could have used herself as bait, yes, but didn't want to chance things. So when the light started to dim, the petite blonde had simply disappeared, leaving only two for their guest's adjusting eyes to see.
