PHS 259 Code of Conduct
1) I will treat my other role players how I would like to be treated.
2) I will keep In Character drama In Character, and not hold prejudice Out of Character.
3) I will not meta-game.1
4) I will not flame my fellow players, teachers, or site staff.
5) I will not make my fellow players feel uncomfortable or unsafe on this site.
6) If for any reason, there is a problem, I will take it directly to a staff member.
7) I will enjoy my time here, and not hinder another persons enjoyment of the site in pursuit of my own.
8) I will not cheat on my stats, items, or Qi for an unfair advantage over others. “Cheating” includes false exp awards, updates you did not pay for or earn, assuming an item has powers you have not described or unlocked yet.
9) I will not scapegoat my fellow players. If I suspect a player is violating a rule I will inform a staff member immediately.
10) I will not double, triple, or quadruple post In Character or outside of Spam in the Out of Character boards. I will use the modify button instead.
11) I will not role play out crude or vulgar sexual events. This is a high school role-play and I will act with dignity. I will merely state it happened and move on.
The Warning System – Zero Tolerance
1) An issue is spotted on the board, or is brought to our attention, and a warning is issued.
2) If issue persists, another warning and/or 24 hour IP ban is issued.
3) If issue persists, those involved will be issued a conference with 2 staff members and a proper punishment may be given. It may include: A written apology to certain persons/the board, a permanent ban, loss of privileges/Qi/items/etc.
4) Once a permanent ban is issued, you are no longer welcomed to this site. If you have learned your lesson and wish to petition an un-ban, contact a staff member and a conference will be arranged. Please have ready at least three reasons why you think you should be let back in to our site, and what you have learned from your punishment/why you were banned in the first place. If it is decided you are unbanned, you will be put on a 60 day trial basis, in which you must display impeccable behavior, otherwise you are at jeopardy of being permanently banned again. There are no third chances once you blow this one.
There is no excuse for poor sportsmanship and rudeness. PHS 259 has an established community that prides itself in its respect and trust of fellow players. Don’t be the idiot that tries to break this, it won’t end well.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Thank you,
The Mod/Admin Team
OOC Rules
1) Any problems must be brought to a moderator
2) Cursing is allowed here, but rudeness is not.
3) The rating of this board is PG13. If you aren’t sure if it is appropriate, don’t post it. Or PM a moderator.
4) Refer to CODE OF CONDUCT.
RP Rules
1) No godmodding2 or stat cheating.
2) No double, triple, or quadruple posting. Use the Modify button in the upper right hand of your post.
3) No Out of Character-only posts in the rp sections. You may add out of character notes or comments to your post but don’t waste an entire post on just an Out of Character note. Use PMs or the Out of Character board.
4) Depending on where you role play or under what circumstances, other rules may be in effect. See below.
Fight Rules
1) You must use correct stats if referring to them. Stat cheating is strictly forbidden.
2) Xin Physics apply here. For example, a punch can throw someone through a wall or down a set of lockers, or you can pick up a table and chuck it. However, you can’t fly, you’re not invincible, and you don’t have x-ray vision. Reality is distorted but not out the window. Refer to Lifepoint1’s XIN series for reference and ideas.
4) Fire arms are forbidden in player vs. player fights, and if caught using them you will be punished. Modified weapons have been popping up recently, but these will not be of stabbing and cutting type, only blunt instruments may be used in a fight.
5) You will not kill players without prior Out of Character consent from the player. If you have made arrangements to plot out a player’s death, that player MUST post up an Out of Character consent in the thread. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Gang Rules
1) You may only be in one gang at a time.
2) There is no limit to the number of members in a gang, but the roles are to be defined.
3) All recruiting must be done In Character and recorded in your Gang Sub-board thread.
4) You must keep your Gang sub-board thread UP-TO-DATE. We will not do it for you.
5) Staff members have the right to question and remove any gang that violates rules.
6) There is no set rule determining NPC recruitment, therefore you may have as many as you would like. These NPCs, however, do not have stats and can be beaten up just as easily as any other background fodder.
Quest Rules
1) You may only enter a major quest once every two months (this does not include Monthly Quests or Events)
2) A maximum of 10 people per quest (Unless otherwise noted), and a loose posting order is in effect.
3) All Code of Conduct, RP and OOC rules are in effect here as well.
*If you would like to CREATE A QUEST..*
-PM a moderator with your idea to be approved by the staff team
-It must have:
---A Name
---A Purpose (What's the goal of the quest?)
---A General Summary
--Suggested Quest Characters (Run by you or mods? Must be approved)
---Suggested Awards
*The key phrase to bio approval is "No, I don't want to dance with the cookie!"*
Class Rules
1) Sign up for a class in the OOC subboard
2) If you do not sign up beforehand, you must PM the teacher for permission to enter the class (You may not just help yourself once the thread starts)
3) The teacher holds the right to ask you to modify your post.
4) The teacher holds the right to distribute and/or withhold rewards at the end of a class
5) The teacher holds the right to remove you from class for poor conduct and forfeit any and all thread rewards.
1 Meta-Gaming is the act of using information that you the player knows In Character while the character you are playing has no knowledge of said information.
2 God-modding is the act of having a character which defies all sense of logic. This can include having someone invincible or dodging bullets as if this were a matrix board, but can also encompass bending and breaking things only to heal them easily. God-modding is left largely up to setting and player discretion, but a moderator will step in if needed.
