Face off between Emily and supposed sister-in-law. It's about time the two meet... >__> I doubt Delilah would react calmly to this, but yes... Drama will ensue
Rem is welcome to be a spectator if such battle comes.Emily stood right there, at the door of the apartment 5 floors down from her own. Room 702, where Delilah Black... class familiar and generally assumed-to-be-future-sister-in-law resided along with some other girl and her brother... if the information she got was correct. Now, with Layla giving Emily a hand at information retrieval within the school... it wasn't really hard to realize that this girl had been living right under her nose. Considering the fact that Emily always went home either very early or very late, the two probably never barged into one another besides class... ... and one knew better than to start a bawl in the middle of a class, where teachers could be watching. Now, considering she had done a bit of damage to her "beloved", Emily could expect this woman to be all hysterical and mad at her for "forcing" Rem to join... when in truth, she never really forced him. In fact, she never understood why he insisted she won despite the obvious loss. SHE was the one who had to be rushed to the hospital. SHE was the one who had to miss 4 days of school. If there was anyone who was aggravated, it was her. Emily leaned over the door, and silently prayed that this day would primarily be not requiring any bloodshed. ... though, Emily was still welcome for more losses added to her list. She'd be fine with Rem be forced to not join anymore. It would be best that way. Interest in the Militia had grown over the general populace of the school, considering the riot that had happened over a couple of weeks ago. She still had to go recruiting people... or at least convince them that their support was needed if things were to change for the better. But there are still hard-headed people who probably don't realize what the enforcers do to the school... and what it implies on the school body, the Hierarchy, and Public High School 259. Emily didn't expect Delilah to be convinced of these reasons... ... nor does she have a plan to convince her to join. Just to tell her that Rem is free to back out if she deems that this cause wasn't worthy enough for his time and efforts. But it probably be best if she joined... ... It probably would.

Delilah adjusted the shoulder of her back pack as she trudged down the hallway to her apartment. She sighed heavily, dragging her feet as she walked. It had been a long first day back…she was just happy to be home. What she was even happier about, however, was the fact that Rem would be home soon as well, electing not to go with her for some mysterious ‘purpose’. To tell the truth, she was more than a little worried about her boyfriend. Just thinking about this ‘gang’ he was involved in, for his sisters sake no less, was more than unnerving.
She lifted her head out of her thoughts when she noticed another pair of feet blocking her way to her apartment. She frowned and looked up at the girl, raising an eyebrow. There was purpose in this girls’ being here. ”Can I help you?”

”Can I help you?”
Emily sighed for a moment before raising her head to smile at Delilah. Guess her blocking the way pretty much poked, prodded and kicked the happy thoughts she probably had going up two floors. Mmm... it's far worse if you live 7 floors up though, but that's another story.
The 15 year old looked at the girl up and down checking her out. No, Emily didn't have any "preference for girls" ...
>___<
She just is... like a sister, very critical about the girl her brother has affections for. It's only been until recently that she and Rem hadn't talked... but they were pretty close back then. One can say that Rem was... a violent mass of epic proportions... when it comes to girls.
Does this girl know about that part of Rem?
...
... in other news... this girl seemed to be alright.
"Mmm... You probably have an idea who I am..." Emily said, looking away. "Delilah Black, my name is ... Kari Aoyama... your Boyfriend's sister. "
... she paused.
"... Kari Aoyama is a name I used to go by, but... I don't use that name as much as I do with "Emily". Refer to me as you wish."
She decided to get out of the way of the door, so she stepped to the right, now leaning against a wall. "Shall we have a walk...?" she asked, "My treat. I know I have tons of things to explain and clarify with regards... to Rem joining the Militia."

When the girl before her introduced herself as 'Kari Aoyama', Delilah flinched in surprise. She did't have to hear that the girls' name was Emily; the last name 'Aoyama' was more than enough.
Delilah ground her teeth at the request. This....chit of a girl, who'd gotten her own brother, Delilah's boyfriend to join a gang- granted, of his own accord -, standing outside her door, waiting for her to come by so they could walk. She closed her eyes and sighed heavily, clearing her head. She tossed her bag at the door and nodded breifly. "I know about Rem joining Militia and why." she said curtly, and with some distaste, turning down the hallway as she began walking. "What I want is an explanation of the gang. No shortcuts, half truths, none of that. I'll know if you're lying. And be specific; I don't like havig to ask unnessecary questions."

"I know about Rem joining Militia and why."
Emily blinked as she quickly followed after Delilah, walking casually side-by-side as to not seem as if she was trailing behind her and being cautious as if planning an ambush; or not to go ahead as to make her feel as if she was following her.
"That is something though, that isn't clear to me." Emily said, walking down the stairs of the building. "I tried to get him to join, and he offers me a battle... going all, 'If I beat him and drag him to join, he would.; Apparently, thinking of what you would think of him."
A pause as she exited the door, now on the sidewalk as she headed off to where the old restaurant she worked in was. They were going there to demonstrate something, not to eat... the eating part was set for someplace else. "In truth, I was the one who was beat up and dragged. I was taken to the hospital a few weeks back; several electric burns and minor internal damage. I lived my end of the bargain, and I am shocked that Rem joined Militia anyway despite his victory; He joined of his own accord."
"What I want is an explanation of the gang. No shortcuts, half truths, none of that. I'll know if you're lying. And be specific; I don't like having to ask unnecessary questions."
Emily chuckled, "In truth, Ms. Black... I cannot really describe Militia as a macho-huncho group of thugs that a gang would probably be described to be." She grinned, crossing her arms as she kept on stepping forward. "It's more of a student military unattached to the current student government. It seeks to rid of the need for the Enforcers and prod some sense into the Student Captain for not taking initiative in keeping order in the school. Then again, one can say I'm following this guy too blindly to know more of "Unfettered"'s possibly deeper intents... nor do I care that I do."

”Don’t give me that sob story,” Delilah snapped abruptly, temporarily losing her temper. She bit down on the inside of her cheek for a moment and took a deep breath, releasing it slowly. ”I know well that Rem would not inflict physical harm on his own sister unless he had a profound need. Keep your personal details out of this; I find them biased and one sided. Furthermore…” Delilah’s brow furrowed a little. ”While I know Rem did this on his own account and feelings, in a way, you’re subject to some blame. The only reason he joined was to protect you. If he gets hurt in this campaign, I want you to remember that specific reason. His only reason.”
The last part of her speech was listened too with gravity, and there was a brief lapse in the conversation as Delilah was silent. What’s your game, Winters? “I have a feeling you’re not telling me everything. Creating a militant gang to ‘prod the Captain’ seems a bit much. There’s more too it, and if you know, I’d suggest you tell me now, before I find ‘Unfettered’ and drag it from him myself.” Though he’ll probably try and make a deal with me… she thought with a hint of humour.

Emily took a deep breath. Well, just how to say...?
Without being deviously annoying? Or having Kari snap at her?
'Let me out to kick that bitch and stop her yappin'~!"
"Shut it."
”Don’t give me that sob story. I know well that Rem would not inflict physical harm on his own sister unless he had a profound need. Keep your personal details out of this; I find them biased and one sided. Furthermore… While I know Rem did this on his own account and feelings, in a way, you’re subject to some blame. The only reason he joined was to protect you. If he gets hurt in this campaign, I want you to remember that specific reason. His only reason.”
'If that's the reason why Rem wants in, then I want him out.'
"..." she went silent for a bit, scratching her head lazily. This was getting out of hand. Somehow she regretted just deciding to be nice and talk, but maybe she should've just let this be and disregard the idea that maybe Rem would like it if things weren't so hostile.
“I have a feeling you’re not telling me everything. Creating a militant gang to ‘prod the Captain’ seems a bit much. There’s more too it, and if you know, I’d suggest you tell me now, before I find ‘Unfettered’ and drag it from him myself.”
"I wish I could tell you more, ...Ms. Black." She said, crossing her arms. "But I know nothing more... as of yet, and I doubt there is."
... It's the moment where Emily gave up trying to reach out.
Emily stopped walking. Looks like this little walk will end pretty quick. They haven't even gone halfway yet, but... it's best ended here before things escalate.
She thought, before opening her mouth. "And about Rem," she said with a sigh, "...I... give up. You seem to care about him more than I do... which is good."
Emily managed a smile... quite forced, besides being somewhat hurt.
Angry, annoyed, hurt and self-loathing.
How convenient emotions could be.
Now she just wanted to just run away and just... drown somewhere. Right now, Emily didn't know how to answer regarding Rem.
She shouldn't have recruited him.... this just... made things particularly difficult. Emily sighed.
She'd best keep her mouth shut right now.
...
another sigh.

Delilah raised an eyebrow,”You doubt so?” she asked skeptically ”Then why has Jonathan declared war on Mitsuki? There’s a reason behind that, I’m sure. The enforcers and not having ‘initiative’ aren’t enough of a foundation. It seems trivial to declare war over something like that. If there isn’t more behind it than that, this isn’t even a cause worth the pain it’s going to cause. If you don’t more than that…” she turned her pale blue eyes to look at Emily out of the corners. ”Are you sure you’re making the right choice? Jumping into deep water before checking if there’s sharks, or so to speak?”

Emily managed a weak smile, looking down into the cement pavement. "Mmm...I suggest you ask him. Well, as for me... My reasons have nothing to do with Unfettered or his war with Mitsuki. Uh... well... maybe a bit... but..."
She crossed her arms, a blush tainting her cheeks with a tinge of pink "Besides my awkward.... um... infatuation with... Unfettered," she admitted, "I feel that this could've been an opportunity to prove to myself that I'm stronger than I believe I am; regardless of whom is right between the two sides... a selfish decision that could probably kill me, though... I wouldn't regret anything. "
She paused. "Sorry if it's another sappy story, but most of the things I'm able to tell you is based on my ... own perspective. Sharks or no sharks, I've already dove into cold waters - and what I can do now is make the best of this and swim through it and learn."
Then, for some reason, Rem came to mind. Surely he'd really disagree as much as Delilah about Emily's lame reasoning, but... there were things Emily had to prove to herself.
She wanted to let Rem see with his own eyes how independent she'd become over the time they've been apart, and that's the reason he was the first person she came to - though now, she found that Rem was still underestimating her.
That name... "Baby sis" ... felt like he was looking down on her. She's almost 16, and ... a sigh.... still bound by her brother's guilt-ridden overprotectiveness.
"I don't blame you for disagreeing with my decision, and I'm actually sorry that I've brought Rem into this mess. I've most likely aggravated his "Big Brother" syndrome rather than what I intend to. " Emily frowned, "I haven't managed to tell Unfettered about this, so you can tell Rem that he could back out anytime he pleases..."
...
Then again, considering the bars of strength and abilities... the most unlikely to survive this war is herself, not Unfettered nor Rem...
Something to ponder.
Though there is something that kept her holding on: "There is Happiness for those who accept fate, and Glory for those who defy it."

Delilah snorted derisively. "You should know your brother better than that." she chided lightly, but there was a lighter note to her tone now. "Knowing that you're in danger, he'll stop at nothing to make sure you're safe. Believe me, if I can't deter him, and I sleep with the guy, you won't be able to." She thought for a bit about what she said. "To 'prove' yourself, hmm?" Delilah ran a hand through her raven black hair. "I gotta say, girl, that has to be the stupidest reason for jumping into something blind I've ever heard.
"I'm not saying it's stupid to want to prove yourself," she added lightly. "I'm saying it's stupid to do something that effects you and ONLY you at the cost of possible lives. Your selfishness may get others killed; did you think of that?" Shaking her head, Delilah turned back and started towards her apartment. "That ends our conversation. I don't care what your side of the story is for it, and I don't really want to know. Your reasons are your own; there's no need to justify them with me. I'm sure I'll find something wrong with it," people really were like machines... She thought with an exaggerated sigh, as she walked away. "Keep in mind, though...that if anyone not involved in either side gets hurt becasue of this...because of your need for proving yourself..." Delilah stopped breifly and looked over her shoulder at Emily with the stony iciness she could be known for.
"Rem's sister or not, I'll make sure you won't be able to 'prove yourself' ever again."
Turning to face the front again, Delilah continued onto her apartment, emotionally drained. She didn't like being hrash; She was a generally warm, kind person. But she had seen too many innocent people get hurt because of someone's trivial aims. This might not be trivial to Emily, but to Delilah, it was...at least, the way she was going about it sure was. "Ciao. Thanks for the info," she called out without looking back.

...
What a day.
"Sometimes I wonder what Rem found in that bitch." She mumbled to herself, sighing. "Better find myself a new place to live in... to stay as far from the two as possible.
The girl would continue to walk away. "There is no such thing as a war whom no one innocent will get hurt; such an unrealistic thing to even think about." she thought, walking into the direction of the school. "I am fated to fail, but I will defy fate."
...
A breath.
Somehow, Emily doesn't still realize that Kari probably had the most influence in this decision of hers.
A subconscious love for bloodshed... an inexplicable interest in danger and death.
YAY THREAD ENDS :D
