Emily had never been so motivated to train other than just after she left the hospital - which hadn't been less than a few hours ago. She had yet to completely heal all her injuries, and all she had in mind was to train.
Train.
Train.
...
If asked, the girl would have two rationales in mind: 1) To prove something to herself; 2) and to prepare herself for whatever she would have to make herself, Regalia and Militia pull though.
Escaping the protectiveness of her younger sister and the worried expressions of her boyfriend, Emily took off somewhere outside the city to train. It was a vast and grassy area of which was land that her hospital supposedly was to make a rehabilitation center for the Chronically ill.
She had snuck in, and started to punch down at some Trees, already slightly shaking as she semi-vented frustrations at her loss. Emily would never really let other people see this side of her at least; that side that refused to lose.

She was a wiley one...but nobody in the history of his existance had ever given David Blaze the slip. He followed her, appearing and re-appearing in places she would not see. He stood above her as she mvoed into the empty area, watching as she trained. His hands were in his pockets, his cape billowing out behind him. He was somewhat regal, and though he was gaurding her, he felt the need to lend his support.
He jumped down, landing a few feet away, reaching up and unclipping the cape, allowing it to drift to the ground. He tilted his head a little, giving her a small, accusing look.
"You tried to leave me behind."
'You failed, but it doesnt change anything.'
He cracked his neck, reaching up and tearing off his shirt to reveal his bare, utterly scarred chest.
"If you wish to get stronger- i believe i can help."
He would shoot forward, and slam an elbow into her sternum, not too violently, but enough to send her stumbling or sliding backward, and give her a small amount of pain.

One punch, and the tree shook lightly. This was getting her nowhere.
This frustration was unbearable... almost painful in a way wherein she wanted to put up a wall the way Layla did. Emily had a bit of pride that existed in her heart; that was supported by a thin pillar of confidence that barely made the cut.
Mathew was right all about her all along, wasn't he?
"You tried to leave me behind." Emily would look behind her, noticing that David had followed her here. Her face was cold, stoic - just like she had been years ago, at least for just a moment before it reverted to a warm smile.
She was trying.
"If you wish to get stronger- i believe i can help."
Emily would find the more powerful man now charging towards her, only having the speed and time to catch the man's elbow with a palm over the other. It had still hurt her, but it was more or less something that would've stopped a more devastating alternative. Not like she knew that David wasn't putting in all his strength.
"Lets see what you have, my Queen."
Nodding, Emily would attempt to push the elbow up as to expose David's own chest and drive the same attack at the middle of the sternum, basically performing an external cardiac massage while this guy was still quite conscious.

Unfortunately, the move Amily did was, as usual, slightly predictable and overly defendable. Her hand was on his elbow, pushing it up, and therefore the hand would go with his arm. So he turned inwards, stretching his left hand out to grab her fist that was slamming towards his chest. His right arm at the same time would snap straight at the elbow and wrap around the arm Emily had there. So, his right arm around her left, his left hand grasping her right wrist, and as he did so he would slam his head forward-
HARD.
Right into the nasal bone, and once it hit, he would release both arms and fire an arm back and forward with an inhuman, Qi-born blow (400 Dex) straight between her breasts. He would crack his neck as she likely flew backwards, and would stand straight.
"Your moves are to predictable and slow- keep yourself flowing, watch for signs of Qi activation. This will help in battle." He shrugged. "Or you can tell me to shut up and do things yourself- up to you."
He would wait for her to come to her feet before he spread his legs over shoulders length, bent at the knee's, and put his hands up in tigers claw, waiting for her assault.

'Gah. Fast!' was the only comment Emily had in mind when David more or less grabbed her fist and her other hand by the wrist, before pulling himself forward into a rather powerful headbutt.
-- not to mention, a rather insane blow by her sternum; which made her cough up some blood as she then flew, hitting her back against a tree before slumping into a mess on the ground.
"I have no interest with this weakling. She isn't even worthy enough to mark as my victim, She ruined all the fun by losing too easily. I'm going to go home now. Oh, and if you're around when she wakes up, tell her that she should get lost, and she should never touch a title if she won't fight for it."

"Oh, and make sure she knows if she isn't stronger the next time I see her, I'll kill somebody close to her and make her watch."
Swallowing some blood back in from her mouth, she flinched. Why can't she forget that last thing he said? Bastard. If he touched anyone she cared about, Emily would see to it that he lives a miserable, miserable life.
Her eyes grew cold for a moment, before flinching again, vomiting some more blood.
"しまった。。。[Damn...]”

Emily wiped the blood off her lips, and stood again. More or less determined to become stronger one way or another. If she were to die in her attempts; so be it.
"Go on." She said before reaching for something in her pocket and popping it into her mouth. More meds? This was getting a bit more often than long, long ago - wasn't it?
Emily would then adjust her gloves for a second, glancing at the ground. Ooh, look - Sand, and lots of it.

Let's see if she still had that.
She opened her arms and pulled them back - it was as if she had her two fans again, which wasn't the case. This time, she would try out something she had never really done before; using that so-called ability that Sean Barker boasted about these gloves of hers. She whipped them forward, and a small gust of wind would basically make a decent handful of sand flow forward towards David's direction. It would either blind him, or prevent him from seeing that Emily had more or less jumped into midair and aimed to slam both her fists onto David's head. If Emily missed, she would do a frog-leap from the ground, basically shooting herself upward to give David an uppercut for the chin.

David cocked an eyebrow, stabilizing his legs. He whipped his hands into an X, blocking the sand and wind which slid his body backwards through the ground a few feet. He lowered the X, glancing over it to where Emily used to be.
'Where did she-'
He shot his gaze into the air.
'-UP!'
He threw the already formed X up, blocking it, grinning. Smart. Then she moved unexpectedly, flipping her body down and causing Davids smile to widen. The fist slammed into his chin, lifting his body skyward, blood spraying from his mouth. He flipped backward mid-air, landing with a hand on the ground.
Immediately, he shot off, dirt and sand flipping from under his feet at the sudden burst of speed. He would appear behind her, aiming a kick for the back of her head. Should it land, he would appear in front of her body and slam a knee up into her stomach, bringing her down to her own knee's, likley holding it with a gasping breath. Of course, she had the Earth Dragon coat, which David didn't know about, as well as the other various Toys which he did know about.
He would kick her in the side, sending her body flying.
He would begin walking toward her.
"Take off your useless toys- this is a fight of your own skill, not what those petty little things give you. I will make you stronger, then you can continue to fight with them if you wish. But not while i train you."
If she stood and took them off, he would suddenly appear in front of her and shove something in her mouth- a small fruit that would utterly heal all her wounds, except broken bones which he would have made sure not to give her. He would take three steps back and smile.
"Now come, your highness, don't tell me your truly THIS weak."
He said this to egg her on, not knowing the effect of the thoughts she was currently having...

Emily menally heaved a sigh when David basically got hit and went a bit back. Alas, so that was what Sean Barker was telling her about? Well, The girl wouldn't be very complacent right now. She shifted her legs, ready for anything David would pull.
However, David was still quite fast - albeit a lot, LOT more faster than she anticipated. He appeared right behind her, kicking her on the back of her head.
"USELESS, I DID TELL YOU TO STEAL DIDN'T I!?"

"WHERE DO YOU THINK WE GET THE MONEY TO FEED YOUR FILTHY MOUTH?!"
Ack. More of those memories...
Then a knee to her stomach, sending her on her knees, slightly twitching on the ground. God damn. She was really useless wasn't she?
She had... all these things. The Earth Dragon Coat, being one of them - and she was still weak. God friggen' damn it.
Coughing up more blood, Emily felt herself becoming slightly drowsy - but still quite awake. She would barely hear David talking, telling her to take off her items. Hesitant, Emily would pull herself from the ground, blood slightly making her lips a deep tinge of crimson. Not like she minded.
"Take off your useless toys- this is a fight of your own skill, not what those petty little things give you. I will make you stronger, then you can continue to fight with them if you wish. But not while i train you."
She chuckled. "So says the man dependent on his Qi." She said, grinning as she started pulling off her gloves, then her coat, letting them fall on the ground - but within sight. Who knows what retarded bitch would try and steal it? "Turn your Qi off, it' makes you no better than I am."
With that, all her items were in a pile; several of them shimmering in the sunlight. He then shoved a piece of fruit into her mouth, making her chew it.
... She chewed without a word. She trusted this man - no reason why she should think it's some sort of poison. ... Strange, she felt herself feel a whole lot better.
Much better in fact.
"Now come, your highness, don't tell me your truly THIS weak."
Weak....
"You're destined for this misery..."
...
"I would know; I am you..."
Her eyes turning cold, her feet would slam quickly against David's in an attempt to hold him in place as she would try and punch him right in the symbisis Pubis. Yeah, that part where the Urinary bladder for males would be. She did this to Matrim once, and that killjoy didn't jizz in his pants.
But that would be the effect, if this was successful. If it hit, Emily's other foot would slide itself between David's legs and then pulled his other foot forward through his Achilles heel in an attempt to get him to trip on the ground with his other foot still planted flat with Em's weight, causing his leg to either cramp up or become quite dislocated.

David smiled.
"Qi you are born with- it is a part of your abilities from the moment your concieved, and therefore is acceptable in fighting. However-" He deactivated it. "If you wish to fight me with only my muscles, i assure you, that can be arranged."
He would, once she jumped forward, throw the heel of his hand into her chest again. This would totally knock her on her ass, and with her being in mid-air it was unlikely to switch positions. At least, this writer assumes she will be mid-air, jumping forward onto his feet. After/if he connected, he would jerk it back.
"Don't take to the air unless your opponent is weak or your far faster. It only leaves you with the inability to dodge or move." He would jump forward and throw an uppercut, hopefully sending her stumbling back a little. "Watch the center of my chest for bodi movements, and if your slower than someone, keep your body's movements closer to your center of gravity- don't shoot your limbs outward, it will only leave opportunity for a faster and stronger opponent."
David would be speaking all this if the uppercut struck, waiting for Emily to return to her feet. He didn't intend to win this one, but he wasn't going to lose. He wanted to fight her into a standstill, make her understand her own bodies capabilities and really work with them. She seemed to have a surgical mindset, the ability to tear a persons body apart, but she lacked the fighting prowess and skills to truly put someone better off balance.

Emily found herself knocked backward, but instead of being thrown onto her ass, she would realign her feet so that she would regain her balance. Basic body mechanics that the writer herself had utilized multiple times while wearing heels. Awesome, right?
From there, Emily would use the fluidity of her movement to follow David forward. He was more powerful, more agile, more capable in general - she knew she had little hope of beating him this time, but there was little evidence that said it wasn't possible, right? She would bend her knees, using that plus her already short stature to avoid the uppercut, and attempt to deliver a hook to the space just below David's sternum - a systemic attack that could deal damage to his entire GI tract. Oh, how she loved systemic attacks.
Emily chuckled. "Qi is something not often found in the so-called majority. It is a God-given gift; divine intervention, if you will." she said, "It changes with the will of your heart; changes with the strength of your soul - a beautiful scientific and religious anomaly!"

David's eyes snapped down, his body reverberating with slight pain as her blow landed. Of course, she didn't continue through with it, and that left her open- so, as it collided, he grasped her hand and twisted it away, then grabbed her hair. He would then rotate and pull. hurling her towards a tree, aiming to throw her clean through it.
Then he would chuckle.
"Funny- everyone i ever fought at 259 has a Qi, and therefore the battle is still legal because the people have the same born abilities. The abilities are grown within us and that makes us special- but the ability itself is apart of us, whether we want it or not. Its bred within is, and therefore a part of our own strength."
He would wait for her to emerge from the massive dust cloud and destruction, his eyes hunting for any possible attack.

Ow, ow, ow. Not the hair, god damn it. Emily winced as she was pulled away and, through her hair, thrown towards a tree. The speed of it all caused some dust clouds to form, blocking David's view of what happened to Emily. Emily had more or less managed to pull her weight together; essentially twirling in mid-air so she landed on the tree with her feet planted onto the trunk, and she let herself drop onto the floor before shooting back up to hide in the trees. Now, with the massive amount of trees all around them, you'd find that this would all be a little... eerie... to be alone at.
Emily smirked as she let herself more or less stand by a tree, still (hopefully) unnoticed by David Blaze. She decided to use a little trick Layla had taught her to deal with Psychiatric Patients--
"Oh, David~." She said, throwing her voice to right behind David. If it had worked, and the dragon trusted his senses and looked behind him, Emily would jump down and almost immediately begin her re-assault on him. She would try a Jab at his lumbar area, where the kidneys were - painful bitchass pain that would bring, really. Her other arm was pulled close to her chest, as if she was boxing, in anticipation of some form of counter-attack.

David smiled as she vanished into the trees.
Now that was using smarts.
He stabilized his feet, waiting for something, anything. It had been a long, long time since someone had vanished on him. Since 809- years. He closed his eyes, listening for the rustle of footsteps, of leaves, of taunting and teasing. He heard her call his name. His head tilted, eyes still closed- Unfortunately for Emily, David used to be force trained in a Dark room, using only his other senses to locate those who would attack him. Words meant nothing, they were simply spoken- see, for him, this was as much training as it was for her. Always developing and moving and adjusting to different situations. He wouldn't turn toward the other voice- but still her blow would land.
Why?
Well for one, she attacked from an angle and at a place he didn't expect. Second, he wanted to take it so as to give himself a chance to return the favor. As soon as her fist landed on the area just above his right kidney, David would grit his teeth, head splitting with pain as he spun left, quick as a fox, a spinning backfist as he rotated counter clockwise. This would work well for him because her fist was still in retraction, and it would be difficult to partition the mind enough to shift upwards to block. It also showed him exactly where she was, his eyes opening so he could retaliate effectively, his side throbbing in pain from her blow.

The human body is one of the most predictable things on Earth. Every movement, every function is precisely timed, with prerequisites and all - that makes those with medical knowledge prone to more or less "abusing" this knowledge for things to work their way.
Feeling David's body shift as soon as her punch had hit, her legs would tense in anticipation. This prepared her to duck, which she did - and it eventually saved her from a backfist.
This was more or less the advantage of being deviously short.
As soon as the hand passed through the top of her head, Emily would then use the power of her already bent knees to propel her upwards in an uppercut to the David Blaze's chin using ready hand from earlier. If it had hit, her leg would then bend quickly in an attempt to hit David in the Xyphoid process.

David wasn't foolish, and Emily was showing she had in fact grown. He would smile as his fist caught empty air, however, he wouldn't just stop and pause, not even for a moment. As soon as his blow missed, he stepped left and through a hard right cross, aiming for Emily's face, which would be shooting upwards adding even more force to his blow.
If this connected, it would probably send her body scittering across the ground, and probably knock her senseless. He would rub his knuckles before walking toward her. This blow would, more than likely. connect because of her own upward force- the distance between her face and his fist would close fast, and shifting or dodging would be highly unlikely because of this.
"You have grown- i'll give you that. Reaching a point where you can actually hurt me is an accomplishment." He would spit a little, a small glob of blood coming with it.
"But you still lack the physical prowess to match me Emily. We must train harder."
And they would...oh yes, they would. David planned on growing and developing more, and he would make sure to keep up this physical attack on her so long as she felt the strength to continue. Day in and Day out. Power and fighting.
The world revolved around both.

OMGBAM.
That's basically what happened to Emily right then and there. Maybe, if she was faster - she would've pulled this off a lot better than she did. After all, David was still quite far from her own reach. His fist planted hard against her cheek, sending her to the ground.
Ow. That hurt. A good effing lot.
She pulled herself up to sit on the ground, still feeling a bit dizzy all considering that it shook her brain a bit. Emily hated headshots more than anything; primarily because of the condition it was currently undertaking, and her awareness of it.
She looked at David as he approached her; still a bit dazed but not unconscious, "Nice one." She complemented, smiling even though her vision was still shaky.
"You have grown- i'll give you that. Reaching a point where you can actually hurt me is an accomplishment. But you still lack the physical prowess to match me Emily. We must train harder."
Emily laughed. "Of course, by all means." She said, pulling herself up from the ground. "Give me a sec though. That hit hurt. Ow."
