If Eric was phased by Leon appearing and grabbing Avice he didn't show it. He'd hold out his crystal trying to get a feel for how far the King scorpion was before glancing back at Allen.

While finishing up securing the kids, Dom would turn to Emily, eyes drifting towards the mask over the bottom half of her face. He felt extremely awkward around her, unsure of what to say. Thanks? Good punching? The words left his mouth before he could even think to stop them. "Sooooo ... you rescue civilians from giant Scorpion monsters often?"

Through the carnage Rhona and John would kill the last scorpions in the building of blood. Finding a person? Leaned upper body against the wall, breathing with a dead stare into nothingness. Pale skin from he blood loss. There was no way he could see with the way his eyes looked. Missing both legs at the hips and one of his arms he spoke.
"I... Can hear... Did you... Save my... Family?"
Though if one had awareness they would see in the slush corpses laying near by of women and children. John would respond.
"Yes..."
And like that with a smile he was gone. No survivors.

He'd stay at the hole until the King went out of range of the gem. He'd let out a sigh and pocket the gem before sheathing his blade. He'd not retreat with the others. He didn't want to be seen right now, there was too much going on. Instead, he'd slowly pace around the immediate battlefield where they fought the large scorpion. He'd look for any indication of what they were here for, other than the obvious death of humanity.
Even if he couldn't speak he had to assume the King was as intelligent as Ragnorak. It seemed to communicate with its kin the same way, with feelings and intentions. Even if it lacked or chose not to speak as Ragnorak had. But where there were some similarities there may be others.
Furthermore, they recognized the crystal. An interesting sign. And they seemed to fear it, at least as far as he could tell. Something he'd have to keep in mind for the future.

Krane: Ice Refraction Response - This inlay armor can be added to any item giving that item the ability to, when someone hits it, deal frozen damage up to 1/2 Kranes energy in damage. May be used once per thread
