Preston always enjoyed exam days. There was a certain satisfaction of being able to put what you have learned to the test and show it's application. Things were all well and good on paper, but there was just something about showing off the raw power of your magical spells that he found appealing. It was part of the reason his aura shifted colors to match the element he was casting with rather than being invisible energy. The flair was important, and the perception of power on the battlefield was just as important as the power itself. Or so he believed.
Unfortunately being a support style caster he didn't have a lot of options on how he can combine two of his abilities to form a single attack. So through some wavers and paperwork, he worked out an alternative. Which was to use two abilities to supplement the abilities of another. That was something much more in line with how he functioned on the battlefield.
His volunteer was an Earth Bender by the name of Benson. He specialized in high burst attacks that had the unfortunate side effect of damaging himself. He was all power and no finesse, his own abilities using so much energy that after a few attacks he was done and unable to harness his own energy for some time. His body injured from the shredding of stone around him cut up and bruised. A prime example of the type of soldier Cabal was trying to refine. And with Preston's help, soldiers like these would be much easier to manage and push beyond their normal limits. Thus allowing them to progress quicker and smoother.
"Ladies and gentlemen. Thank you all for making time for this demonstration today. And a special thank you to Mr. Benson for agreeing to assist me today. What I am going to show you is a way to augment our soldiers to prevent them from injuring themselves from particularly volatile attacks while keeping their own energy reserves from diminishing. This will allow our soldiers to fight harder and longer, giving us an advantage in nearly any and every conflict that may come to pass."
With that, he'd turn to face Benson as he'd pull energy from the surrounding area and augment it with his soul. The energy around his body pulsed with blue energy, the grass around him blowing and pushing down under the force of it as a water shield appeared around Benson, shifting with his every movement to offer protection. The spell came into effect as Preston spoke his incantation, his focus of choice.
"At rek Arel".
Immediately following that the energy shifted to white, the energy pulsing stronger as he switched to his natural attunement of Holy. His basic ability, but one that was quite potent. With the incantation complete the energy would transfer into the young soldier, granting him a portion of Preston's own energy to be expended rather than his own. Something that would keep him in the fight longer.
"Kiron Rot"!
Once both spells were in place Benson would charge forward toward the dummy, leaping into the air and slamming down into the ground. Spikes erupted around the dummy and Benson, impaling the dummy in several places as shards that would have cut and slashed Benson were absorbed by the shield quickly zipping around him and protecting him from harm before dispelling.
"As you can see, thanks to my supportive abilities Mr. Benson is unharmed, and I think you will find his energy levels undiminished. As long as I am able to keep supporting him in this way, Mr. Benson can continue to serve as a front-line shockindefinitelydefinitly."
He'd clasp his hands behind his back and turn to the instructors to await their approval.

Job: This job can only be done one time. You must make a 500 word post discovering how to combine two of your Abilities into a single attack and showcase it to the Trainee board.
Bonus: Use two abilities specifically designed to work together.
Payout: +5 exp, +$400, Troop Jacket: +3 Def, +3 Eng
