Considering the future (Open/Thorn)

[Stigma Wyatt]

Stigma had left her brother a message to come meet her soon. There were a few things to discuss and catch up on, as well as the future to to plan for. Until he inevitably showed up, Stigma had prepared the area with some of her weapons and enough space to do some training.

She felt...a bit disappointed. In almost all of her combat situations, she never needed to use her Qi. If anything she got by with just her own strength and sword and it felt like she had gained very little experience in that domain. It was unacceptable when she still had so many questions.

With a breath, she picked up her sword, hovering it over her wrist as she considered just how much experience she could really get on her own. She didn't have the guts to ask someone to come train with her, so she was starting to think this was her only option.

[Donovan]

Donovan walked forward.

"So I heard you don't die."

[Stigma Wyatt]

She looks up from her sword with a few blinks, taking a moment to realize who was saying that and the context with it.

"A-ah. That's not...exactly true..." she'd say somewhat quietly.

[Donovan]

Donovan stopped and tapped his chin.

"Fair, I suppose you brother was probably saying you don't stay dead."

[Stigma Wyatt]

"You spoke to Thorn?"

She's half concerned, half hopeful.

[Donovan]

Donovan nodded.

"He told me to stop saving you. Because he didn't like how it made him feel. I told him to shove it. So, we disagree."

[Stigma Wyatt]

That's not at all where she thought this was going. If anything, the furrowing of her brow was enough to show she hadn't expected Thorn to tell him something like that.

"I wonder why..." she'd mutter mostly to herself before shaking her head.

"Ah. N-not to change the topic but...I thought l-learning about that would...upset you..?"

[Donovan]

Donovan shrugged and walked over closer so he didn't seem like he was being Stand offish.

"I was... but then... it still hurts when you die right?"

[Stigma Wyatt]

"Sometimes. It depends how quick." she'd say.

"If it's not clean it can leave lasting effects when I come back, too. My healing is...temperamental."

It was the best word she could find.

[Donovan]

"So, not only is it bad. But it's worse than I thought."

He shook his head.

"I've been through a lot of pain big and small."

He'd point at his arm as an example.

"And it sucks. But I've never died before. So I can't even imagine how painful that can be."

He would shake his head.

"So, even if you don't really die. I still don't want my friend to be in that much pain."

[Stigma Wyatt]

Stigma would remain quiet as he spoke, letting the words hang in the air a bit before speaking up.

"I should have warned you. Truth be told...I wanted to impress you. I thought...it might be something...'cool' to see."

[Donovan]

Donovan chuckled.

"I guess it's kinda cool. Yeah. Don't worry. In the end I did get a really cool arm out of it!"

He would say raising his arm.

[Stigma Wyatt]

"You're...sure it's alright?" she'd ask, her brows furrowing.

"Even without lasting danger, I feel like I owe you for what you suffered."

[Thorn Wyatt]

Thorn sprints from behind Donovan, which he can probably hear coming, and goes to try and jump kick him away from his sister!

[Donovan]

Donovan was about to respond when he heard footsteps he would turn around in time to see the kick but do nothing about it. However, Thorns kick would land square on Donovan's broad chest and he wouldn't move an inch! Donovan grabbed Thorns Leg and slammed into the ground.

"What the hell?!"

Dick.

"Dick."
