Shiloh reached out and grabbed ahold of Adelaide's arm, her eyes wide with excitement as she looked around at the Metas. "Dude," she said, though there was far more inflection in her tone than her friend's. Her other hand cradled her precious camera, the security lanyard around her neck just in case her emotions got the better of her. She wouldn't want to drop it.
"There they are..." she whispered, her gaze shifting from one obvious Meta to another. A smile brightened her face and she turned to look at Adelaide, her gaze sparkling ever so slightly. "There they are! Can you believe it?" She hadn't told her only friend her deepest secret yet, and now was most likely not the time to do so... but her strange excitement and random babbling wouldn't be too far outside of her norm. She turned to look back at each of them, still searching... still hoping...

Adelaide just sighed in frustration.
"Yeah. There they are..."
She was less interested in the fact. She had met several Meta's as she traveled with her family. The simple sad fact was they really weren't all that different or spectacular. She just shrugged it off. At least Shiloh was having fun. However, the air seemed to change. She couldn't tell what but instinct made her tighten her gloves and take a step a little closer to Shiloh...

Haku found his line was struggling against the rather irate Anti-Meta group. This was concerning. Something felt off...
"Keep steady!"
Then in a whisper only just loud enough for Lorelai to hear.
"Eyes open. Something is about to happen. Stay close."

Soni caught eye of Rai..or..the new Rai anyway. She had met the old Raikotsu in the... former world. It was only a few times, but he was the type to leave an impression (in her mind and on her face). That being said, this guy was not him. He was kind of a... not very nice person.
Haku on the other hand, who she caught a glimpse of, was a pretty nice guy. She had worked with him a handful of times, and she was definitely the type to make sure there was no awkward stage of a friendship to push past. It was a shame he was several years older than her. He was kind of cute.
She slid her headphones off and waved a hand at him as New-Rai was finishing up. She then realized he turned to whisper something to that chick Lorelai, his back to her. She called out to him, still being a couple dozen feet away. "Yo Ha-"
Her words stopped. Something was off. Her heart began beating faster. She hadn't gotten into actual life-endangering violence since that last night in the old world.
What was about to happen...

The blonde clapped at the speech given.
Rhona, not being a perceptive being, would remain in the moment. She'd not have a strong sense of feeling in danger but she did get a chill. Not something that happened to the over heated girl often.

Her heart ached seeing him. Her mind and to convince her it was not the same. Her feelings however felt his act of support for the rest of use was very much what her Raikotsu would have done and she hadn't felt as lost knowing that much.
Her blood grew cold and stiffened to alert her to stand on guard. And she would search around the faces in the crowd as if trying to spot anything out of the ordinary.

Derik came out of the candy store next to the TV shop and would unwrap his sugary snack and start eating at it while he watched the live feed of the apartments opening.
He wasn't at the event and he certainly wasn't secretly scanning the faces in the crowd for some sense of familiarity.

Lucky was not within the crowd she was off by her tarped tent tinkering away with circuit boards and plugging together hardware to fiddle with the new energy source this world offered. While the apartments she'll enjoy, she could stay out in hurricanes and sandstorms if you gave her technology to tinker with.

Avice, astute as the majority or maybe even more so, would smell the air and amongst the ocean, the unbathed bodies, the construction mess, she was able to differentiate these things easily.
Would she be able to sense anything out of the ordinary? With the new weight in the air and an invisible cloud forming on the already on edge refugees who had everything else torn from right under their noses, she was no different and would be itching to claw into anything that looked at her sideways. Her throat felt dry and she was in no mood.
(UP:1) Force Sensitivity (UN-EVOLVED MUTATION): Your character is now sensitive to the flow of energy that makes up the universe. It can act as a danger sense, empathy check, or a guiding hand. The character must focus on the energy flow to gain any effects and the ability uses and gains UP normally. -Dark Force Mutation: The Force Sensitive user is now able to reach out with the force and cause pain equal to the users energy with a grip of their hand as a focus point to a target enemy. This can also cause the target to lose 1/4th the damage in speed for the following post

As Haku warned her to keep her eyes peeled, it took most of Lorelai's self-control to not roll her eyes. She cut her gaze at him ever so slightly, and then turned her attention back to the crowd, not bothering to speak. She was always on high alert, and she would have to be an idiot not to feel the tension, the electricity, in the air. She took a deep breath.
As Soni approached, there was a slight softening to the agent's features. For years, she had worked with the school, bringing the scared and the lost children to a place where they could be safe and accepted. She had worked closely with most of Xapham's prized pupils, and Soni was no exception. She reached out to press the tips of her fingers to the girl's shoulder in greeting, and then dropped her hand back to the hilt of her sword.
She shifted her feet ever so slightly into a more wide stance, barely noticeable by anybody who didn't work with her. It was the easiest way to tell the agents, who were quite familiar with her tiny, minute body movements, to stay on high alert.

Drake continued to watch from a distance. Though his eyes were starting to hurt and a headache was developing. Unlike most of the others his Qi developed to always be active, and in this world... it meant having to endure some really shitty pain... this pain was enough to distract him from feeling the ominous air...

As the applause came to a close Raikotsu stood to the side.
"Then. Without further Ado, I present to you. Your new Ho-"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!
A loud sound of an air horn went off cutting off Raikotsu's sentence. Everyone seemed confused. Well, almost everyone... with the noise there seemed to be movement rushing from the Pro-Meta group side! Suddenly a bunch of people came running out of the group wielding strange weapons. They looked like knives or bats but they were all a dark purplish black, like a deep bruise and the seemed like they were... leaking? Either they didn't look right, and if any Qi users got too close they would feel extremely woozy!
"Get the unholy abominations!!!"
A voice called out from somewhere, and immediately the crowd charged forward attacking anyone present, Meta, and human alike!

Lorelai moved with the speed of a trained soldier. She drew her sword, and in a single movement, reached out to shove Haku behind herself. She glanced at Soni, then back at the swords, and gave a single shake of her head. She moved forward, and grabbed ahold of Soni as well. With a pointed look towards the swords the enemies had, she spoke, in a disturbingly calm voice that she so very rarely used.
"Protect Haku. Stay behind me."
With that, she turned her attention to the line of military next to her, and spoke with a fierceness none of them would have expected, coming from the woman who so rarely said a word. "Protect them! Keep them away from those weapons!" Expecting them to listen to her, she turned and began to move, a lieutenant leading her troops, to try and get her people between the newly exposed enemies at the Meta-Humans as quickly as possible.
Lorelai believed in one thing above all else: loyalty. And she expected her troops to follow her. She had to keep the Meta's safe, but she knew that she would have to rely on them more than herself to do that... After all, she had to keep Haku - and in this instance, Soni - safe first.

Gidget yelped as the loud sound boomed through her eardrums, and she winced visibly. She was set a bit ways away from the crowd, and she doubted she was an "unholy abomination," so most likely, she was safe. Still, she really didn't like what was going on. She turned her sharp gaze towards Rai and made a face, whether he was looking at her or not.
She had no weapons, and really... no dog in this fight. She couldn't help, anyways. Instead, she began to move outside of the crowd, away from the danger, circling the group, and trying to figure out the best way to get herself out of such a messed up situation. She moved very obviously AWAY from everything. Hopefully, they wouldn't think she was a Meta-Human.

Drake's headache was made worse by the air horn.
"The fuck?!"
He glared ahead and forced his eyes to zoom in again. Only to see that all hell had broke loose.
"Ah, hell..."
He mumbled to himself, but closed his eyes and attempted to will his headache away. He wasn't responsible for anyone down there. Ain't his fuckin problem.
