Drake just stopped and stared at her blinking slowly.
"I've literally been with you all day. In your place, and you and mine. If I was going to fucking do something to hurt you I would've done it. Just let me see your hand, I've learned a trick to deal with headaches since being here."
He would say holding out his hand.

Gidget glared at him, and then shook her head. She didn't think he was going to hurt her, necessarily... and she knew that she HAD touched him, both in the marketplace and in her own home, but this time....
Why was she hesitating? She couldn't exactly figure it out herself. She didn't often touch people, but the realization that she had already touched him weighed on her.
"I'm... I'm fine, dude. It's just a headache, and they're totally normal. I told you, I'm supposed to wear glasses, and the glare from the computer screen can strain my eyes. It's no big deal."

He rolled his eyes.
"My god dude. Fine. Watch and I'll show you."
He would then very dramatically hold up his hand and slowly indicate that it was, indeed, his hand. As though he was talking to someone who was mentally handicapped (He was). Then with his other hand he would point to a small space in between his thumb an pointer finger.
"Squeeze this spot here, like so."
Rai would demonstrate.
"Its a pressure point, one that relieves stress in your brain and helps sooth headaches."

Gidget cocked a brow. She wondered if that would actually work for her... She had a theory behind what was causing her headaches, and she wasn't entirely sure that a pressure point would relieve the sort of stress her brain was under because of her chip.
She tried to do it herself, but was not actively accomplishing much by herself.

He would point to his eyes.

Gidget tried to press harder on her pressure point, but it still wasn't doing much. She sighed and shook her head.

"Nah. I like having my senses about me." She sighed and leaned back in her computer chair. "I had my time with booze and pills, and... I'm good, fam."

"Honestly, I know the feeling. One of the reasons that I don't have any here. Is because I still don't trust this world, or the people in it. That, and after seeing the destruction of two worlds, there is no such thing as a 'Good High' anymore."

"Yeah..." She shifted awkwardly in her chair, and gave a shrug. "I bet there wouldn't be. Seeing the destruction of any world would be enough to knock somebody flat on their ass, my man..."

He stared at her for a moment.
"Have you really already forgotten the mob of men that tried to chase you down and beat you to death because you were just at the grand opening? Or the woman that cut and stabbed and is probably dead? Or any of the other random ass meta's and non metas that were attacked the other day? That was fucked dude."

She didn't want to get into everything she hated about this world... or why she cared if it was destroyed. Most of the people in it were terrible. She thought of the homeless, of the parents and children, of the starving and the sick... she thought of that man in his drug-filled building, and all of the people he had affected. She thought of the monsters she saw every day...
But, despite all of that, this was still her world. Gidget shrugged.
