[Adelaide]

"Oh I'm... I'm so sorry to hear that... I... can't even imagine what that is like..."

She felt awful for that kind of reaction. Obviously not all meta's were bad otherwise her dad wouldn't be helping them... But still they seemed so different, and here was one now as if... as if there wasn't anything wrong helping a complete stranger that might hate them... It was really eye opening.

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Don't worry about it. I only bring it up to show how much this chance means to me." Yeah it's been a pretty rough life for us, but if I let that steal my joy or make me a monster then I will never be accepted."

Josie would smile and motion for Adelaide to follow. "When you want to make the world a better place for you, there is a process. Exposure leads to tolerance, tolerance leads to education, education leads to acceptance, and acceptance leads to equality. Thank you for helping this process. It gives me hope for the future!"

[Adelaide]

She couldn't help but chuckle.

"Is that your equivalent of the Jedi Code, where you're from?"

She would say, suddenly realizing just how much nerd had just let out.

"Never mind that... but yeah, I definitely get what you mean. I really like that, I hope you don't mind if I quote you on that some day?"

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Not quite. That would be something like 'Give me some rhinestones and a hot glue gun and the world would be a prettier place.' Though you may feel free to quote either as much as you like."

She'd chuckle though "It's also comforting to know the Star Wars nerds on on our side. We can now add people with good taste to our allies!"

[Adelaide]

Adelaide couldn't help but laugh.

"Fair enough! I'm surprised I wasn't expecting you to know about Star Wars! I wonder how many other things we have in common!"

[Djoser Aneksi]

"In my field of work pop culture knowledge is a must." She would give a playful wink and a giggle to match the laugh.

"Part of the reason I blend in so well!"

[Adelaide]

That made sense, Adelaide nodded. Impressive.

"That's really cool! It's good to see that you all are integrating so smoothly, I was worried after the attack at the apartments... Our world can apparently be really cruel..."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Some of us. Some of us are still scared and hurt sadly. But... that's why there are good people like you! Honestly, no matter how bad it is, at least this world has a future." Josie  would say, smile bright as ever.

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would return the smile.

"I'd like to introduce you to my dad and his friends one day. I know Mr. Xapham would really appreciate someone like you."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"I'll give you my number after we are finished here. I'd love to get to tell them how grateful I am. Maybe we can find a tine to hang out again."

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would nod.

"I'd really like that, I'll have to bring my friend next time. Shiloh is curious about all things Meta, and I know shes been dying to talk to one of you. It'll make for a great surprise."

She said with a smile that was different than all the ones before, it was warm, and unusually feminine for Adelaide. Wouldn't be hard to put two and two together that Shiloh was the same friend that Adelaide had slipped up about before.

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Gladly! You don't seem like the type to warm up so easily, so she must be quite the treat!"

Josie would give a sweet smile in response. Good for Adelaide!!! It is always a pleasure to watch people Find their joy. She would speak to Adelaide, really seeming genuine.

"I don't know what's going on between you, but it seems like you haven't been open with your feelings with her. Lovestruck eyes and sweet gestures will never go as far as honest confession. The worst thing you can hear is no and that will only get the pain out quickly. Just between us girls." She would say before going back to her playful demeanor, pointing softly to the produce shop in front of them.

[Adelaide]

"I uh..."

She would stammer as they approached the produce store.

"It's not, I-i mean, I just..."

And she would turn away for a moment to collect her thoughts before turning back.

"I don't want to lose Shiloh, risk losing what we already have. Which is all I NEED from her... I'm just being greedy wishing for more..."

[Djoser Aneksi]

Josie would watch and smile. Just nodding along.

"And what's wrong with saying just that? Things don't have to go further and your okay with that. What's wrong with asking if she's interested? If she really is worth having as a friend, she would be able to set that boundary and move on as normal. Wherever it may fall." The tall beauty would say standing outside the store.

"But I'm understating it. It's hard and your feelings are valid. You aren't greedy for being attracted to someone and only do what is best for you mentally here. I'm just offering advice."

[Adelaide]

Adelaide nodded.

"I- thank you. I really appreciate your help today. You've... really given me a lot to think about."
