Gidget ignored the graffiti entirely. She was used to it... It barely phased her anymore. Instead, she slipped through the mazeway of alleys with ease, and in silence. Her gaze was darting idly back and forth, until they came out at a street.
She pointed across the street to a small pizza parlor. Like most of the places she went to or ordered from, it was a little hole in the wall. This one even had bars on its windows.
"Best Chicago style deep dish this side of... well, Chicago." Gidget shrugged. "Might not be the place you had in mind. But its a good one."

When they finally made it out to the streets again, WR would swivel their head around and scan the area, taking notes of bits and pieces of the scenery before addressing the pizza place in front of them. It was... a drab, but it was expected.
"Never been on this side of town, so, I'm excited." A small spark lit in their eyes. One thing WR LOVED more than anything was new experiences, adventure. Even if they sucked.
They would start heading across the street, not even bothering to venture down to the crosswalk.

Gidget glanced idly both directions before taking off after WR. She slipped her hands into the pockets of her jacket, staring at the person for a moment, since she had the opportunity to do so. She had interacted with people more often since the Ark than she had since moving out. It was a strange feeling, being surrounded by... people.
And to think, she had fought opening the apartment to Meta's harder than almost anything else.
She glanced at the shabby pizza place. More often than not, she preferred the food at tiny, unknown, family operated places, rather than the big chains. This place was no exception.
The inside of the restaurant was in slight disrepair. There was an older, maternal looking woman behind the counter, working on a crossword puzzle, when the two entered. She brightened up immediately at the sight of Gidget.
"Oh, there's my favorite computer whiz! How ARE you, my dear?" Gidget shuffled her feet around, obviously uncomfortable with the woman's praise. "Come on, now. You brought a friend? How nice! Your favorite table is open!"
Of course it was. Every table was open. The woman led the two towards a small, two person table in the corner. Gidget was quick to take the seat that placed her back against a wall.

WR would remain silent as they entered the parlor. They would not exchange greetings with the cashier or whatever position the lady upheld, but instead would simply breathe in the atmosphere and note as many details about the place as they could. For some reason, they felt an odd sense of comfort accompanied by lingering nostalgia. They couldn't quite put their finger on it, but they decided it probably reminded them of another place they frequented in early childhood, or maybe the overall smell (because quite frankly it didn't smell like pizza) reminded them of something or someone.
They would think on it for a moment until they plopped down in whichever seat feisty purple gremlin left open, then they would take a deep breath and cross their arms as their eyes followed the menu being set down in front of them.
Honestly, even at the first mention of food, WR had no idea what they were craving, much less so with something customizable.

The woman didn't have any menus or anything in her hands as the two sat down. She was grinning from ear to ear, looking between Gidget and WR, as if she simply couldn't believe that the strange little girl had come in with somebody else. She reached out, as if she were going to put a hand on WR's shoulder, but quickly withdrew it. Instead, she clasped her hands, and tilted her head to one side.
"What can I get you two to drink?"
Gidget gave a little shrug of her shoulders. "My usual would be great..." The woman nodded and turned to look at WR.

WR blinked a few times, seemingly lost in thought until they realized two pairs of eyes were on them.
"Huh? Oh, um. Coke." They'd add an awkward smile. They didn't actually hear the question, they just assumed that was what she was asking.

The woman nodded with a soft smile, and then headed to the kitchen in the back of the small shop. Gidget watched her go, and then turned her attention to WR, cocking an eyebrow.

WR would lean over the table, scratching the back of their head until the woman walked off. Then, they would sit up, noticing feisty purple gremlin's stare as they returned to their normal posture.
"Yeah?"

"What were you thinking about?" Gidget asked simply, crossing her arms over her chest.

Ah.
"Place reminds me of someone is all." They would shrug, crossing their arms as well. It was a vague truth, but it was the truth.

Gidget continued to stare at WR, but she didn't say anything else. If she didn't want to tell her, so be it. She wouldn't push or demand answers. Everybody had their own secrets, and they were entitled to them.
"Computers," she said, rather suddenly, after a long moment of awkward silence. "My biggest hobby is computers. Tech."

With that said, WR would scan the feisty purple gremlin again and grin. Yeah, it made sense that she was a tech junkie.
They would nod.
"Can't say I'm surprised," Their grin would grow as the words left their mouth. "You got a tech-y gift then, or?" They raised a brow, assuming she would know what they were talking about. After all, she had mentioned the 'newbies' several times already.

Gidget cocked a brow at WR's question. Gift?
"I have an affinity for computers that would probably surpass any gift that one of youse would have, but no. I'm from here. I was born here. Totally human."
Well, except the weird chip in her head, but that was man-made... by humans... and that was one of her secrets. Just thinking about all of the things the CIA demanded of her, all the secrecy they expected, made her head spin.

WR didn't quite believe that answer, but they would simply shrug and let it go.
"Don't know much about computers, but you probably coulda guessed that much," They would stifle an awkward chuckle and rest their elbows on the table, running their hands through the back of their hair. It was a lot softer than it looked...
"I got a lot of hobbies actually," They'd cock their head as they thought about it. There were almost too many to name...
"Mostly artsy shit. And street racing."

"Street racing? Like.... Need for Speed style?" she asked, surprisingly curious. Her posture was still quite closed off and distant, but she seemed legitimately interested in the question.
