In the slight moment of silence between words, WR was immediately consumed by thought again. Damn, were their comparisons spot on. They couldn't look at Shiloh without seeing Sylvye's stupid fucking face. And, quite frankly, they couldn't look at Adeleide at all. They would instinctively jolt their head back and wipe their eyes with a bomber sleeve. They knew the tears were coming before they could feel them.
Even though obvious pain on their behalf, they would turn back to Shiloh and smile. "Lead the way, yeah?"

"I'm not really feeling Italian."
She lied as she turned to leave the store, she loved Italian food and Shiloh was trying to be sweet, but that was THEIR restaurant. She wasn't about to bring along someone to ruin it.
"How about that Thai place you've been wanting to try out."
She would mention to Shiloh.

Shiloh seemed to deflate a little bit as soon as Adelaide rejected her Italian idea. She was trying to make sure that her best friend was okay, no matter what, and she wanted to bring her as much comfort as she could. Her brows furrowed in confusion. Adelaide was ALWAYS in the mood for Italian...
However, as soon as she mentioned Thai, Shiloh brightened up again. She nodded, and waved for WR to follow her as she hurried to catch up to Adelaide. "Yeah, sure! That sounds great. Do you like Thai, WR?" she asked, turning back to them with a smile.

WR would nod silently and wait for them to lead the way. They would clean up their mess and apologize to staff in the meantime.
When they finally set on their way, WR would lag behind them, not wanting to intrude on their space or anything.

Adelaide would fall silent on the trip. Letting Shiloh do what Shiloh does, talk to fill the silence.

Shiloh noticed that WR was lagging, and reached out to grab ahold of Adelaide's shirt sleeve. She didn't want to leave their new friend behind, or make them feel like they weren't welcome or a part of the group. She tried to slow down just enough for WR to catch up to them, and smiled at both of the people she was with.
"So, WR, right? I'm sorry, I can be bad at names, sometimes. Does that stand for anything? It's kinda cool sounding, actually. Doouuuble-u Rrrrrrr." She sort of dragged out their name and chuckled, hoping that they didn't take offense.

WR would hesitantly join them as they didn't want to be rude. Poor Shiloh, completely oblivious to the discomfort and tension radiating off of both WR and Adelaide. Though, it was more the latter off of Adelaide.
They would chuckle at the question. It was something they got a lot, so it was more or less expected at this point. While they didn't trust either of them enough to tell the whole thing, they would at least say the first part.
"I literally have two first names, one for each parent, so most people just started combining them, and boom, WR. My first-first name is Willow though. Or Will. Whichever." They would shrug.

Adelaide knew she had no reason to be behaving this hostile but was struggling hard to fight that anyways.

She would ask trying to be nice.

WR was surprised to hear Adelaide speak up this time, and would shrug before shoving their hands into their bomber pockets.
"Well, I hate my pa--" They would bite their tongue and think on it a second. Probably best not to take that route.
"In general prefer WR, but don't mind Willow. Usually let people call me whatever so they stop asking about my damn gender."
Their face would flush after that. That was a slip up.

Shiloh couldn't help but giggle at Adelaide's response, and she gave a slight shrug of her shoulders, agreeing silently.
"If you prefer WR, then so be it! No skin off my back."

WR would remain silent but would eventually nod in agreement.
"Damn straight."
They would glance over at Adelaide just to get a final look of her face since they couldn't bring themself to do it in the store, then they'd turn to Shiloh, knowing another wave of pain would wash over them.
And, in that moment, something cracked.
They would come to an abrupt stop, their body pale and their eyes greyed, then they would fall to their knees and begin hyperventilating.

Adelaide stopped when she heard the sound of knees hitting the ground and turned to see WR was hyperventilating! She would immediately move Shiloh out of the way and go to hold WR.
"Hey hey hey, what's going on?! Breath dammit."

Shiloh felt Adelaide basically push her out of the way, and she let her. She reached up to clutch at her shirt in fear, and approached slowly, staying just outside of WR's reach.
