He looks around, mostly trying to make sure that no one else is around. Even though he didn't care about these people, it wasn't something he was willing to say in front of others.
"I'm saying that I need you. You're one of the few things I have left. And I think you might need me too."

She looks away.

"Fine. I get what you're saying."
She pauses.
"I just...I've been avoiding my parents. I don't even know what to do when I see them."

That was a little better. At least his face is returning to a normal colour, now.
"What's wrong with them?"
Cain keeps his voice pretty neutral, as he tries to hide the outright concern.

"My mom acts like nothing's changed and my dad more logical than nurturing. I don't NEED to hear him tell me the answers. I need them to understand how I FEEL."
She stares off at nothing and frowns.
"But they don't."
