Gidget ducked her head into her shoulders, but her eyes were lit up with happiness, excitement, and... hope. That was a foreign concept to her.
She nodded, and then snapped her teeth playfully at WR before she slipped out of the car.
"Alright, Speed Demon, show me how to do this shit," she said, before closing the door.

WR stretched their arms over their head, grinning, before locking up the car.
“Which part, the punching, screaming, or crying?” They joked as they started walking toward the beach.

"Well, I can't punch worth shit," she said, holding up her bruised hand with a slight wince. "I don't think either of us want to cry. So why don't we try either the screaming bit, or maybe something new for both of us?"

“Hmm,” WR nodded, rubbing their chin, wordlessly until they finally made it onto the beach. They certainly weren’t dressed for the occasion, but they seemed to be the only ones out there for the time being, which was ideal.
“First, how’s the hand? Doesn’t look much better since last time.” They gestured to it with a brow raised.

Gidget glanced down at it with a slight shrug. She had no idea how her new arms worked, and had half expected to have new hands as well. Finding out they were still as weak as human hands was a little... exhausting.
"I guess I just... don't know my own strength?" Or why it wasn't healing. It was going to take some time to understand how it all worked.
She sighed, reaching up with her good hand to gingerly rub the place where they had attached everything.
"Hows yours? I'm telling you, man. You keep punching that mother fucker, and one day, you're going to break through that thick skull of his."

WR squinted at the wound, contemplating, wondering what they should do, if anything at all. If it still looked...gross the next time they saw her, they would deal with it. But, for now, they promised an escape, so that's what they were going to give her.
They chuckled in reference to Drake, and shook their head.
"Honestly? Feels fine, just digging the look of the bandages." Grinning, they flexed the hand in question before dropping it to their side.
"So, I dunno what 'something new' entails, but screaming is self explanatory. Find a focus and scream. Sounds, words, whatever. Just let it out. You'll feel better after, promise. I come here 'cause... well, only thing for me to burn is sand. Never know when I might blow."
They shrugged.
"So, yeah. You looked pretty pissed earlier, so let's hear it." Crossing their arms over their chest, they took a step back and waited.

Gidget couldn't help but snicker. She was a fairly quiet person, when she wasn't exploding on somebody (at least verbally), and she hadn't screamed at anything since she left her parents house. Well, Drake and Scott excluded.
She sighed softly, bending down to take her shoes off. She tossed them both to one side and wiggled her toes in the sand, staring at them. How much could she tell WR without going against all of that paperwork she had signed? Did she really care about the privacy clauses when Scott was... well, just gone?
She rubbed her forehead with her good hand, everything giving her a headache. She loved her enhancements, but fuck if this wasn't pushing the boundaries of "worth it."
"Want me to... Just flat out say it?"

WR stood patiently while Gremlin kicked her shoes off, staring into the ocean, completely lost in thought. It was... mesmerizing, to say the least. It was something they always wanted to explore when they were younger, but the eagerness died off as soon as they unlocked their Qi and discovered the effects water had on it. It completely sapped them of energy if they were exposed to too much too quickly, or at least that's how it felt.
The sound of Gremlin's voice pulled them back to reality, and they shook their head while her words registered.
"Do what you're comfortable with, long as it gets out. But, you can tell me anything, if that helps."
She was the only one. On most days, they could care less what was on other people's minds.

She sighed, a deep, almost defeated sound, and continued to stare down at her bare feet. She crossed her arms over her chest as if trying to comfort herself. What could she tell DJ without exposing all of the information she had attained? Was there even a way for the CIA to know if she did tell? Was there some kind of recording device in the chip, or in her arms?
Finally, she settled with, "My big brother is missing."

WR's eyes narrowed slightly, in an attempt to hide the pain that suddenly filled their eyes. Hearing that, it overflowed them with sadness and anger, but it was not their right to voice those feelings, at least not yet. This was about Gremlin.
"For how long?" Their head tilted, and they thought back to the first time they were at her apartment. "Is that what you've been looking into for all this time?"

"Right after Christmas. He was on a call with me, it got disconnected, and he's.... gone."
She spoke with a monotone, as if they were discussing what music they were listening to in the car... but if they looked, they'd see a sharp set to her jaw, the way her eyes gleamed slightly with frustration. She was hiding her feelings, something she seemed to be good at, but they were there if anybody took the time to look.

WR nodded, thoughtfully, and empathetically. They didn't have to ask to know how dire the situation was. After all, Gremlin was a computer nerd, so if there was something to find, she most likely would have found it already.
And judging by the look in her eyes, there was nothing. But what there was, was emotion. It was locked deep within her and needed to come out.
So, instead of asking questions or comforting her, they were going to do what they came here to do: Let it out.
And that's exactly what they were going to tell her.
"Say it again. Let it out."

Gidget cocked a brow and turned to look at WR. There was obvious confusion etched through her features.
"Say... it again?" She murmured, not understanding. She had spent so long locking everything up as tight as she could and burying it, hiding it under her anger and petulance, that the concept was completely foreign to her.

"You heard me. Say it again, let it all out. Yell if you have to, just let it out." They heavily emphasized the last few words, curling their lips in almost a mocking demeanor.

Her eyes narrowed before Gidget turned back to stare at the ocean. She was silent for a moment, her mind twisting itself into knots, her anxiety slowly beginning to eat away at the edges. She was just about to snap, and not in the good way, when she heard some small part of herself whisper, Communicate... Just try it...
She took a deep breath, her hands balling into tiny, useless little fists, despite the pain it shot up her arm.
"He's gone..." she whispered, and then said it a bit louder. "He's gone. That... fucking idiot. He..." She felt tears threatening, but refused to let them fall. When she spoke again, she got a little bit louder. "He just fucking DISAPPEARED..."
