New Faces (Gidget)

[Gidget]

Gidget idly swiveled back and forth in her computer chair. How to start this? How to open up to some stranger, when she had struggled just to open up to Drake?

"I... have a thing for someone."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Ah." Was all Dj would say for a moment

He would ponder and continue, "What's the problem then?"

[Gidget]

She sighed and turned her face away, her pale cheeks flushing a brilliant red.

"I've never... done anything. Literally anything, not just kind of anything, with anyone. And I don't know how to do this. Or progress with it. Or act on it, or not act on it, or try something, or ANYTHING."

As she spoke, her words began to speed up and her tone raised slightly, and she wrapped her arms around herself in an effort to try to, somehow, make this less awkward for her.

[Djoser Aneksi]

"So you're new to all of it." He would say, his eyes closed.

"It's... scary. Not just scary, but complicated and strange." He would say before pausing. "But you know that even better than I do."

He would finally meet Gidget's eyes. "I'm not going to lie. I've never done any of it before myself, but I have seen many a relationship grow and fall apart."

He would look more solemn now, his voice resting in it's more masculine range. "There is no secret advice or right way to do it. There is one good tip though."

He'd hold up a finger. "Always communicate. Every thought you have about them, how they make you feel, or your relationship with them should be expressed verbally. It is awkward and painful, but if you want that person in your life, you are going to have to let them in and understand you."


"Furthermore, ask questions. You need to learn more about them too. You could be doing something that hurts them, bothers them, and you need to make compromises on it."

"Lastly don't make it any more awkward than things already are. You'll know what needs to be said or asked because you' want to say or ask it. Everything that tells you you shouldn't is just you sabotaging your own happiness."

He would pause for a moment, giving Gidget a chance to process and respond.

[Gidget]

Gidget continued to swivel back and forth in her chair, staring down at her bare feet. She didn't seem quite willing to look up at DJ as she thought about what he said. Communication... That was extremely difficult for her. She had spent her entire life hiding away from everything, and everyone. Nobody had accepted her, or even tried, so she had eventually stopped trying herself.

But the way WR made her feel. She held up her hand, remembering what it was like when they grasped it, and her fingers tightened slightly. She wanted that feeling to stay around.

"What... kind of questions?" she asked finally, her voice soft, almost like that of a child's.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would notice the way they retreated into themselves. He would move closer, sitting beside her now.

"How they'd feel if you did something. What would they like to do. Are they okay. Do they feel comfortable. How was there day. Things that help further your understanding of one another."

[Gidget]

Gidget sighed softly, nodding. Asking questions would be a little bit easier for her... Opening up would take some time. She cradled her hand against the hollow of her throat for a moment, contemplating the advice DJ gave her.

"And what about... physically?... Like, is that just... as it comes or whatever too?"

[Djoser Aneksi]

"For most things. When you get to sex, research is good. Ultimately though, listen to your body and your partner. Communicate the whole time and make sure you are both safe and happy. Doing it like the pornos is not the only way to do it. Anything that satisfies both of you and stays healthy is valid."

[Gidget]

"What do I research if not porn?"

She seemed genuinely confused once again.

Dj would close his eyes and let out a deep sigh. He was feeling awkward, tired, and stressed. Though, getting the chance to potentially help this person have a healthy relationship was enough of a promise for him to stay.

"Yourself and them. That is ultimately the only way to find what works best for you both. Up until then try and look up safe sex habits and healthy sexual practices to make sure you are educated when your feelings take over."

[Gidget]

That was... weird. Gidget fell into her own awkward silence and continued to swivel back and forth, contemplating what this stranger had told her... and why the hell she had opened up in the first place.

She pulled one leg up and pressed her forehead into her knee, trying to calm her own racing thoughts.

"Last question..." she murmured, though whether it was to herself or DJ, she didn't quite know. "How do I fix shit with that douchebag downstairs?"

It was obvious that whatever had gone on between her and Drake was still weighing on her.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would look solemn, sad even. He had an answer, but it wasn't one that made him happy at all.

"There are two answers I have to that. The first being you don't. You hurt him, he may have hurt you to. Trying to make amends is a bad mindset. You should own up to the fact you hurt him, take responsibility for it, and express your remorse to him honestly in the best way you know how."

He'd pause, standing up and putting his heels back on. "The other is I have only met that man twice in my life. I don't know him well enough to give you a solid thing to do. I am simply someone who cares a lot." He'd say, weakening at the end. Looking to Gidget as he now stood.

"Is there anything else I can do for you?" He would say genuinely but jaded.

[Gidget]

Gidget shook her head, remaining in her seat. Friends, they were not, but she was grateful.

If DJ made a move to leave, she would let him get to the door and almost out of it before calling out a sullen, but genuine, "Thank you."

[Djoser Aneksi]

He would make his way quietly to the door, before turning and giving a deep bow.

"It is my honor and pleasure to be of your service. If you ever need my help for anything, Drake can get a hold of me." He would say with a empty but genuine smile and a bow.

Then, he would just leave. Going home to get ready for bed.
