[Cecelia Riddel]

Cecelia's frown deepened at the turn of conversation, indeed. Why would someone assume that when Cillian was acting nothing but polite and civil to her?

"Perhaps, though I don't believe that's the sole reason." She forced the polite smile to her face again as she addressed Adelaide. "After all, Cillian and I are friends."

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would look between Cecilia and Cillian raising an eyebrow suddenly feeling like she was missing something.

"What do you mean by that?"

She asked Cillian.

[Cillian McWolfe]

"The part about my style? Rather than sulk and curse fate for being unfair I thought it was best to try and assimilate in the situation we find ourselves in. To do otherwise would be to despair."

He'd hold his arms out to show himself off.

"I'm wondering if I look too much like a native to cause such a visceral and hostile reaction when I have tried to simply be friendly and polite. So I can only guess something of my appearance has offended you."

He would beam at Cecelia when she called him a friend, he felt that was high praise from someone of her station and upbringing. And not to mention huge leaps and bounds of growth to be friends with a man.

"Very good friends in my heart at least."

He said with another small bow of his head to Cecelia.

"And mine." She gave him a warm smile and gracious nod. One could say Cillian was part of the reason she was out and about in the world, but that was for another time.

Instead, she turned her attention back to Adelaide, curious to see what the other woman would do now that Cillian had indulged in an explanation for her.

[Adelaide]

"Well, in my experience, guys that dress up like peacocks to be all flashy as fuck, that talk about themselves and their achievements, and walk around ever where with ego's the size of a mountain as if to compensate for somethin' are all out to find some stupid chick to woo, take to bed, and be gone before they wake up. I have no patience for men who use women and you are setting off all the alarms."

She would say folding her arms.

"Okay?"

He was lost again.

"But when did I do any of that? I don't I look like a peacock, do I?"

He'd give Cecelia a look of askance.

Cecelia was equally as lost, and it showed. She kept looking from Cillian to Adelaide, trying to find the red flags that the other woman kept seeing.

"I don't think so? You're not even wearing green." She shook her head with a small hum.

"I've never seen you act that way in the time I've known you, either." And she'd had to deal with some men like that back home.

[Adelaide]

She looked between the two of them as if they were crazy.

"Not literally like a peacock. I meant you have flashy colorful attire, you were literally just bragging about yourself, you call yourself the 'THE AMAZING ARDAN' going back to the inflated ego, oh and your big ass pet here is another cry and needing to swing your dick to show people how great it is. Even if that ain't the kind of person you are, that's the kind of individual that you come across as."

[Cillian McWolfe]

"Fenrir can hardly help how big he is. It's just what he is."

He'd say giving the dog another affectionate pat before shrugging at her.

"It's a stage name. I introduced myself as who I am first, not my fictional persona on a stage. It's a character for entertainment. That people pay money to go to in order to be entertained..." Did she not know how shows and theaters worked? Or the difference between in character or out of character? That was... a bit distressing for her life and upbringing. Or general interactions with people from how this conversation had turned. "I only brought it up because you mentioned me making grand displays as a scathing retort for suggesting other options to get flowers? I thought maybe you had come to one of our shows." He still wasn't quite sure why she was so hostile.

"But I do apologize if my attire is too garish for your taste. I didn't think tennis shoes, jeans, and a shirt with some color was too much. But I will try to consider a more.... monochromatic look in the future so as to not offend."

Cecelia offers Fenrir scritches to silently assure him of his good boy status while the two spoke!

[Adelaide]

Adelaide was going to have a brain aneurysm dealing with these two.

"Ya know what. My bad. But I gotta get going. So, see ya around or whatever."

With that Adelaide would just walk away. God they were definitely the most frustrating Meta's she had met, and that was including the one that threw her through a wall and caved in her chest cavity...

[Cillian McWolfe]

"Have a nice rest of your day. Good luck with your flower shopping."

But he'd not stop her. He had no clue what her issue was, or why she was so hostile and hateful but that was her problem. Giving Cecelia another look and shrug he exhaled a bit.

"Well I didn't mean to cause a scene. I was just going to ask if you two wanted to get some frozen yogurt after I finished walking Fenrir."

He didn't think stopping to say hi to a friend would turn into a whole scene.

[Cecelia Riddel]

"See you tomorrow, if you like. Thanks for walking with me." Cecelia watched Adelaide go with a small look of concern, shaking her head as the other girl stormed off.

"It's not you, Cillian. I think she may just have some things on her mind." Presumably. Otherwise, she wasn't sure what flags there were to raise her hackles so. Beaming at the invitation, she placed a hand over her chest. The one that would risk wolf fur on her shirt.

"I would love to."

[Cillian McWolfe]

"Oh awesome! Well if you want to meet up at Yogurt Yoghurt Yogurte in around fifteen minutes or so I can finish walking Fenrir and meet you there. My treat to make up for the drama."

[Cecelia Riddel]

"Certainly. I'll see you then." She had zero complaints about a treat before heading home, especially after closing early.

"Enjoy the rest of your walk."
