Kaia frowns in annoyance as her fist sinks in, but she refuses to take a hit for free. As Cain pulls her in she goes to bash her head against his nose while purposefully taking the punch!

The Pants of Flyting Fancy are for the insult professional. Kaia's ability to turn rabid at the drop of a hat and tear down a persons confidence with her own immeasurable self confidence has finally grown to be able to seep into combat effectiveness. Three times per thread Kaia can insult a persons abilities and lower a target stat by 1/4th Kaia's Perception stat to a minimum of 1. To defend against this the target must have a higher perception stat than Kaia to perceive the insult as nothing more than a jeer.

Cain's nose spurts blood, and he rapidly backpedals!
He's about to push back in to take another swing, before he remembers what it is they're doing.
"Wait! Hold on!"
He puts his hands up in a warding off gesture!

Kaia also backpeddles in the opposite direction, reaching down to hold her stomach.
That did not feel good. Despite trying to sound like he has wimpy punches, she didn't care enough to hide her current pain.
She looks up through her bangs, frowning, but....happy to hold off. She could use a moment.

Cain gingerly wipes his nose with one hand, then grins. "...yeah. Okay. That worked. Thanks."
He points at his stomach.
"I was negating some of your moves, did you see?"

"No worries. I got to try something too." she shrugs.
She feels like she could have gotten in one more, but, it was good enough as a tester. She saw how much harder he had to work.

Cain nods.
It wasn't easy to thank her, considering... who she was. But he felt as if he needed to.
"...you're pretty strong, Kaia."
He almost mumbles, turning as if he's ready to walk away.
