WR was vibing. There was something missing, but they were enjoying going through the process again. It brought back a lot of memories of Andre's garage, and the--
"WHAT THE FUCK!?" They instinctively lurched out of their chair, toppling over the keyboard and falling over it as cords caught their foot, provoking the other machines to move slightly. Fortunately, the keyboard was the only thing that fell (aside from them), but it was certainly loud enough to be heard throughout the hall.
They crawled to their feet, angrily snatching the cords away from their legs.
"I'm gonna kick your FUCKING ass!" They shouted at the wall, assuming that was where Thomas the fucking Train was playing from.

Dj would give a wicked smile at all the commotion.
When he finally laid down on the couch and heard the scream at the wall, he thought he recognized the voice. Oh Dj would love for whoever the fuck it was to try. With a wave of his hand, he would play it again, this time the Biggie Smalls remix.
Dj was not in the mood. If they were going to suffer they were both going to do it in fucking silence. Or else...

WR cringed as the music rang in their ears again. What the fuck kind of sorcery was this?!
They wanted to play like that, then so be it. WR was going to fuck some ass up.
Channeling their inner Barry Allen, WR slipped on shoes and rushed over to their death wish neighbor, pounding on the door with all the strength they could muster without crushing the door in.
They didn't want to have to pay for any damages.
"You got a problem, settle it like a normal fucking person, yeah!?"

Dj would stop the music. He was not a fighter, but damn it, he was on the verge of killing a bitch. He would pick up his totem and walk over, opening the door.
He was glowing an intense tanzanite, his hair floating up, he would be a little hunched over, and wearing a dye stained tee shirt and sweat pants, not really giving a fuck about appearances. He would quickly bark out a "WHAT?!" before seeing who it was.
When he saw, his glow dimmed, his jaw unbleached and he furrowed his brow in confusion. Why the fuck was Barry Allen at his door? With a soft flair of an accent he would say "The fuck are you doing here?"

WR was about to pound on the door again when a tall motherfucker emerged in what looked like rags and ropes.
...
Wait a second.
All anger in WR's posture immediately released as they recognized the face in front of them. They fell back and grabbed ahold of the railing behind them, chuckling manic.
"Oh man, what the FUCK. You really live NEXT TO ME and I NEVER noticed?"
They continued chuckling.
"I've literally BEEN INSIDE your apartment!!"
For some reason, WR found this sequence of events hilarious, causing them to completely break character and laugh their fucking intestines out. They gripped the railing as they laughed, squirming around as they failed to regain their composure.

Dj would try not to laugh as WR explained the sheer stupidity of the events that just occurred. He would crack a smile and look away with his arms folded, trying to keep up a serious visage.
"Actually??? I have your fucking key with your room number on it!!!" Is all he'd say. This was stupid. How did he live next to this toddler without having any knowledge of this?

WR finally stopped laughing, using the rails to return to a straight posture. They huffed a final laugh, giving a shake of their head, and returned their hands to their jacket pockets.
"Ya know, I'm not even mad anymore. You're an asshole, though," They grinned.
Wait... did WR finally say something to Dj... that wasn't aggressive???

He would give a new kind of smile to WR. It was playful and expressive.
"Yeah, this is golden."
Then he would pause. Fold his arms and for the first time lower his head. His expression looked stressed, embarrassed, and his voice was meek.
"Yeah... I don't know what got into me. I was just really bummed out and it..."
He would pause again, regaining his posture but not quite looking up. Moving his hair out of his face and trying to cover his shoulder that was exposed by the huge tee shirt.
"I got mad, I'm sorry."

WR's grin faded as they looked over Dj. He was wearing a completely different expression, posture, and when he spoke even tone. He was acting completely out of character, unless this was simply how he was when he wasn't aiming to impress.
They contemplated it for a moment. Their first few interactions with him had been... interesting, but in each one he wore an apathetic expression that sometimes spoke empathetic words. Above all, he always seemed to be interested in helping other people instead of seeking help himself.
Yeah, WR knew he was bullshitting, somehow, someway, but they decided it best to not confront it directly for now.
So, instead, they thought to actually offer him help. They didn't really have an idea of the kinds of things that would be plaguing someone like him, but they knew he had helped them enough, directly and indirectly, to deserve a little more than a cold shoulder.
"It's okay, promise. Didn't realize my shit was so bothersome. Either way, you need anything?"
They tilted their head a bit as they asked. Their expression was blank, but the question was purely genuine.

WR frowned.
"You didn't answer my question. Look, I'll be straight with you. I don't know much about you so I won't pretend I do, but it's okay to hurt, to feel weak sometimes... as long as you acknowledge and address it, and don't let that anger consume you. And hey, my secretive ass won't breathe a word to anyone. So, that being said, if you want or need anything, I got you, alright?"

Dj would give a soft smile at that. "The answer is yes. There are things I'm not doing to good with. I just feel bad about opening up about all of it."
"Most of it is about not being good at socializing and not having anybody I trust enough to vent to."
He would hold up his totem. Looking at it solemnly. "The other part and potentially the answer is this. I got the chance to go back home to take a god trial. I... I need to do it. I'm just scared, clueless, and I don't know anyone that could help."
He would say for the first time actually looking stressed and emotionally exhausted. Giving a sigh and staring at the totem.

WR fell silent. Shock swept over them at mention of the old world, and their eyes widened in fear at what that might entail. They stared at the totem, thoughtfully, then returned their gaze to his.
That was far from what they were expecting him to say.
"Mind if I come in?" They eventually said, returning their hands to their pockets and assuming their usual serious posture.

WR shook their head dismissively and stepped inside, searching for the seat they sat in on their last visit. They slid into it and waited for Dj to sit down before saying anything else.
