He yelled as he picked up his own pace to chase after her.

Why was that so hard to understand?! Either way, she's running full force in the direction of Mount Olympus.

As fast as she was she still wasn't as fast as the War Hero. Who would catch up to her and grab her arm shifting her weight whip her around to face him as he held her in an iron grip.
"This. World. Is. Over."
He declared. As he stared into her eyes.
"And I will not lose my only daughter to her foolish pride!"
Despite the edge in his voice there was a noticeable quiver, however brief.

She barely had time to curse in her mind as she felt his grip on her arm, and she was turned to face him.
For a moment she was stunned. Not because of what he said so much as how he said it. Even for her it was hard to ignore perhaps the first real sign of emotion she'd ever heard from her dad. It...hurt?
"Dad..." she'd finally muster up the ability to say something.
"It's not my pride! Don't you get it?! There's nothing for me over there! Dream, vision or time-travel I don't fucking know, but I SAW what it was like! I'm not losing my life and sense of purpose, letting everyone else here die while I sit cozy in a fucking cage of a new world!"

He glared at her.
"For all the time you spent learning and training at Cabal, I'm ashamed to see that you are still so short sighted."
He would let go of her arm.
"How can you stand there spouting such nonsense and not call it pride?!"
They would hear Kaia's mother calling for them.
"I-"
He would stop as he seemingly stared off into space for a moment. Snapping back soon after.
"Hmph. If you're so determined, then leave. Abandon your mother and I. Run away from your destiny. And the let me know how that works out for you."
He would say taking a step backwards. Waiting to see if she would go back with him or run away again.

She takes a step back, trying to keep from feeling conflicted. Was it really abandoning her parents? They'd be safe. She'd be where she wants to be. It's not even like that.
Her brows would furrow.
"Run away from my destiny? What could I possibly still have over there?! Here I can help my people and my world. Over there my life ends! I lose my home, my dreams, and all my fucking potential!"

He shook his head.
"Do what you will then. See how it works for you."
With that he would turn and walk back to their house.

Kaia would frown.
Sadly, Kaia and challenges went hand in hand, and she definitely took those parting words as a challenge. Fine. She'd do just that. She already knows what the other option does.
She faces the other way and continues on.
This time she'd be here.

With her father not stopping her Kaia would be on her way. However it wouldn't be long before she could hear the sounds of her mothers wail, but as Kaia pressed on the cries would go silent. Now that she was free to be where would she go?

They'd be safe. That's all she repeated in her mind as he pressed on.
Kaia would head for the village nearest the mountain. That way she could help the villagers but also be close to the Gods.

It would take about a couple of hours for her to reach the village. There were mostly only commoners there as anyone of importance was either at the Ceremony or away on business. So she would mostly just see people going about doing their daily business. Same and boring as usual.

That's not a bad thing all things considered. Until anything of note really happens, she's happy to just hang around. She's here for a reason, after all.

After only a short while of wasting it appeared to start from nowhere! The sky would go dark and black chains seemed to appear from nowhere lashing out and attacking people! There was nothing but screaming and mayhem!

It was really something to see when it started. For a moment her gaze was stuck, but, she'd quickly pry them away to start trying to help people get away. Even if all she could do that throw them out of the way of the chains. Anything.
