[Gidget]

Tako's. What a dumb name for a restaurant.

Gidget sighed, standing just outside of Tako's, her hood pulled up and long imp ears brushing her shoulders. She wasn't sure why she was so tense, but the idea of going inside and asking for help made her feel... strange. She stuck her hands into the pocket of her hoodie and glanced around for a moment.

It wasn't going to do her any good just standing here, awkwardly. Taking a deep breath, she swallowed her fear and headed inside, making a beeline towards the first employee she saw. Might as well get it all over with.

"Um. I'm looking for Sage? You can tell him Gidget is looking for him."

[Sage Sudeki]

The guy behind the counter would smile.

"Go on ahead. His office is in the back."

She would find his door open, he was watching online video documentaries of the new world.

[Gidget]

She nodded to the guy and tucked her head slightly as she made her way to the back. She stopped at the door, rasping her knuckles gently across it and waiting for Sage to look up at her.

"Uh... yo. Remember me?"

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would slap the space bar quickly cause his attention was drawn away and he was into the video. He didn't want to miss anything, but he looks up to see Gidget and smiles.

"Yeah, the girl from the glass shop. What can I do for you?"

[Gidget]

"I wanted to come and talk to you a little. I gave Drake that flower. Thanks for that, by the way. Threw me in blind, there."

Despite the sarcasm in her tone, there was no hostility. She leaned against the door frame, keeping her hands tucked carefully in her pockets.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike had no idea what she was talking about, he had seen Drake literally obsess over a flower that looked like the one he picked out, what was the big deal.

"Oh? I thought he would like the flower... To be fair, we don't know each other all that well."

[Gidget]

"Aren't you guys... related?"

Didn't families know each other? Given, hers didn't know her all that well, so she supposed she shouldn't be surprised.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would hum to himself a moment, before speaking.

"If he hasn't told you it isn't my place. I've only known Drake for maybe a year and some change since we found out we were related at all."

[Gidget]

"Ah..."

Gidget shifted slightly at that. She and Drake talked quite a bit, but he seemed to enjoy being shrouded in mystery. Still, she didn't want him to know that.

"Well... Okay, then. I just sort of assumed you two knew each other for longer." She shrugged her thin shoulders, looking away. "We haven't ever really talked about you."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would smile and gesture for her to take a seat.

"Please, sit. Thirsty? Hungry?"

He'd offer since they were in a restaurant. He'd also nod his head.

"It's fine, Sudeki don't really have an inter personal family relationship. For him most so I'd say."

[Gidget]

Gidget gave a shake of her head as she made her way to the nearest seat. She wiggled slightly, obviously uncomfortable.

"Why is that?" She asked curiously.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would rub his chin a bit.

"Well in our world, we are a somewhat famous Clan of mercenaries. Trained from a young age to fight and master warfare. Tactics, assassination, weapons, hand-to-hand, Qi studies. It doesn't breed cohesiveness amongst ourselves either, as money will outweigh a sense of right and wrong since the job is the focus. They wouldn't even deny a job if the other side has also hired some of the Sudeki, they will simply fight each other to the death for the job."

He tried to explain it as simply as he could, there was so, so, so much more to it, that it would take all day to explain it all, but they needed to move passed the topic.

"Drake was a... Discovery made by my dad. He hasn't been to the clan its self, he hasn't gone through the training. So to the family he is an infant, and unworthy of work. Even though he is very powerful, the family wouldn't see it that way until he has been tested."

[Gidget]

Gidget hummed softly as she contemplated the information, compared to what she knew of the Sudeki family here. Given, she had only ever met Rai and known about his daughter. As far as she could tell with the little bit of a background check she had done, it was just the two of them, with the mother dead.

"Mercenaries. It's funny... The Raikoutsu Sudeki of our world started the TSI, which is like a military police for hire. So I guess you could call them mercs, too."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would stare momentarily in silence when she said the Rai of this world was her world.

"Then you aren't an experiment. My apologies, when we met I assumed you were a generation two or three barker experiment that came to this world like I did."

Spike felt bad about his prejudices still being blatant in some way or another. However, he needed to continue.

"I'm still not sure if I trust the Raikotsu of this world. But, I'm also stuck in my cautious ways."

[Gidget]

Experiment? Gidget stared at Sage and fought the urge to laugh at the irony of his statement.

"Hold up, hold up. Tell me more about this Barker experiment shit?" She asked, her face suddenly alight with amusement.
