"..Good shit. Not my kinda music, but the performance is what counts when it's live."
"Oh....Thanks."
She swallowed, picking up her glass of tea and looking at him as she'd sip it once again. Looking at him through that tinted glass for an even shorter moment before letting her index finger linger upon the rim of the glass.
Glancing up at Kevin as he'd snatched the girls arm, brows furrowed for a moment. But when Kevin would turn his attention back to the table she would look towards the table again, pretending she hadn't seen it.
She was a waitress herself. So, she'd felt sorry for the girl. And even if Kevin wouldn't leave a tip, Calamity would.
Calamity knew what it was like, needing money and waitressing for a bunch of bitchy people. Fortunately, money wasn't an issue anymore. Not with the Katashi funds backing her up, so why was she working as a waitress again?
For a man who hardly spoke to her?
She'd made a promise. A promise of loyalty, and she wouldn't let him down. Ever.
Besides, she needed to get away from the Katashi manor. Too many memories of Hiroko. But she didn't dare leave the place.
Now, swallowing, glancing at Kevin, a soft smile towards him.

"But about you..."
Kevin licked his lips as he'd return the smile, admiring those eyes of hers. So big & bright...adorable. "Anything you wanna tell me? I dunno...age, phone number, Myspace page, phone number, what you like on Valentine's Day, phone number..."
His grin widened. Yes, this was a wacky way to get a girl's attention. But Kevin was wacky; hell, he'd dress WAY more low-key if he wasn't. Granted, a tall white tee with black jeans & gray boots was rather mellow, but most other occasions...

"Anything you wanna tell me? I dunno...age, phone number, Myspace page, phone number, what you like on Valentine's Day, phone number..."
She'd sip her tea, letting the glass rest against the table top before peeking up at Kevin. He was an interesting person, and she'd glance away from him as he'd talk to her, letting those words fall from his lips.
And one he'd ask for her number a third time she'd laugh. those giggles rolling off her tongue for a second and she'd lean back in her seat.
"Ah. Where to start."
There was so much to tell. And she almost thought of telling him everything. Just spilling it all out on the table for him. In hopes that he'd head away from her, and right for the door. It would be easier for her that way, if he just left her there. Left her now, before he'd stir the pot and create more damage.
"Well...."
A soft smile.
"Well, I like pink..as you can tell... and I've dined with the most lethal members of the Yakuza."
Glancing off to the side.
"These men here in little china town are nothing compared to the bad boys in Japan."
Letting her nail graze against the urface of her drink for a moment.
"Just a heads up..."

"..Yakuza, huh? Sounds pretty wild."
It was. Organized criminals with the poise of royalty, but the savagery of barbaric tyrants. They could make you or break you based on how much you put in & how deep your sins went. However, Kevin knew something that could rival that.
Kevin had seen people with that same poise & that same killer's instinct. And then he'd seen people who didn't need the first, all they required was the latter, which made them even more of a threat, simply because they focused only in one area.
"...But I've got three numbers that could probably make the Yakuza feel threatened."

He could talk all he want, and Calamity's opinion on the Yakuza wouldn't change. Not now, not ever. Daisuke had been so brutal, yet so charming...now she'd lick her lip. She'd been Daisuke's best friend, and in the end...his worst enemy. She'd seen what a life with Daisuke would bring, and though that ring of drugs, alcohol, crime and other no good things had been fun at first, in the long run she'd realized that if she'd stayed any longer, within Daisuke's grasp that she'd die.
And when Daisuke said that if he couldn't have her, then no one else could...she believed him. Daiksuke was a man of his word, and the thought of him almost made her shiver. She shook her head, brushing a few strands of hair from her face. Kevin didn't know what he was talking about, none at all.
She'd bathed in her father's blood. Lived with his memory, with her sin. Now, she shook her head. Trying to shake that memory from her mind before looking to Kevin. A soft smile on her lips.
"How old are you?"
A simple question.

If only he heard her thoughts, he'd simply reply:
...I grew up being the toilet paper that all the kids wiped their ass with.
I've been framed for crimes I didn't commit.
I was raped in jail.
I had my arm broken, my face slashed & my pride stomped in for my closest friends to see.
I've seen death.
When I get mad, I bleed black.
I've been shot multiple times with the wounds still there.
...If that ain't grounds to protect you, girlie, I dunno what is.
But he didn't hear it. The thought ran through his mind, oddly, & he didn't know why. All he heard was her question:
"18. Yup, I can get locked up for sex now, I know, it's a tragedy. Just don't tell anybody what happened at the party & everything's all cool." He'd smirk. To think, he'd been so apathetic about sex when he was underage. Now that he was legal, he gave it some thought, & considered a girl who he knew was a few years younger than him. Go figure.

Now, her hand slightly gripping her drink. She watched him, his eyes, the way his mouth moved when he spoke to her, and only her. His attention was totally on her, and he was looking right at her. No one had showed her this much attention since Hiroko...again she was thinking of the past and she'd glance away.
And what would Hiroko think of now? Think of her?
He'd be happy for her. Right?
She swallowed.
"18 eh? You could get yourself in some real trouble...hanging out with a girl like me."
Finally letting her eyes rest on him again. Smiling.
"I'm 16."
A quick smirk.

"So then that means..."
He'd chuckle. "...That means that if you tempt me to do something naughty, 'cause I SURELY wouldn't do it myself," he'd place his left hand on his chest to accentuate his 'innocence.' "..I'd tell the police that you made me do it."
He then leaned in towards her, smirking as he just then got his lemonade, taking a sip. "Of course, they wouldn't believe me. But...we'd know who did it. And it'd be our little secret." Another sip.
"...Right?"

"So then that means..."
Your a pedophile?
She continued to watch him, glancing up at the waitress as she'd finally get Kevin his lemonade and it was then she'd ask for another tea.
"...That means that if you tempt me to do something naughty, 'cause I SURELY wouldn't do it myself,"
A quick laugh.
"Surely."
"..I'd tell the police that you made me do it."
"Me eh?"
"Of course, they wouldn't believe me. But...we'd know who did it. And it'd be our little secret."
"Well, dhu!"
Another sharp grin, turning the corners of her lips upwards.
"Easier to believe an innocent Japanese girl compared to a PEDO."
She'd laugh, finally glancing up to see the waitress heading back with her tea and she'd take it within her hand. Slipping the waitress a ten dollar bill before looking at Kevin.

"Hey, I believe in free love." He'd smile & laugh.
"...It's because I'm Hispanic, huh?" He'd close his eyes, frowning, struggling not to laugh. Kevin took another sip of his lemonade, grinning. "Yeah, I think it's because I'm Hispanic & my dad's Sicilian. Y'know, that's DISCRIMINATION." He'd point a finger at Calamity before closing back in.
"...But I can be your sweet taboo if you don't want everybody to know you're talking to me."

"Hey, I believe in free love."
She smiled.
Free love. She believed in that, didn't she? It was hard to think now, with the way Kevin was coming on to her, and the way the inner demons were pulling at her insides, trying to rip her apart.
She licked her lips. Taking a sip of her tea.
"...It's because I'm Hispanic, huh?"
"Heh, ya."
She laughed, letting her glass thud against the table slightly.
"Yeah, I think it's because I'm Hispanic & my dad's Sicilian. Y'know, that's DISCRIMINATION."
She would glance from his father and to Kevin again. A smirk upon her lips as she'd lift that glass to her lips.
"...But I can be your sweet taboo if you don't want everybody to know you're talking to me."
Letting that glass rest against the table again she'd turn her eyes towards him. Sweet taboo eh? She'd almost laugh. Calamity had nothing ot hide when it came to Kevin. He was just some guy, talking to her. So she'd laugh.

Score. She was laughing. SCORE SCORE SCORE!!! Kevin, 1. Kevin...uhh, not scoring? 0. "But enough flirting around. What else is there to ya?" He'd finish his lemonade, setting the glass on the table. Those eyes...he had to smile. He thought of a song in his mind as he examined her again. ...And his phone rang. Whaddya know, he forgot it was his ringtone! Darren Isaiah - Model Walk. He'd silently mouth out the lyrics: Mama pose for the flick Damn you look sick Black shades on lookin' fresher than a bitch Mama pose for the flick Damn you look fly Know you fine as hell with them heels on right? Mama pose for the flick Damn you look sick Black shades on lookin' fresher than a bitch Mama pose for the flick Ya hear a lot of talk But you don't give a damn, got damn model walkHe'd glance at the phone's screen; unknown number. He'd ignore it, sliding the phone back in his pocket. "I can't stand prank callers & telemarketers."

"But enough flirting around. What else is there to ya?"
A soft shrug, fallowed by a slight shake of her head as she'd look away for a moment, letting her tongue slide along her lower lip. Watching a few people walking about the small restaurant.
"Not much else."
A lie. Always a lie.
She had her attention drawn away from him, watching a loving couple who had seated themselves int he corner of the room. Leaning in, talking to one another, their body language was intoxicating. And Calamity could only watch them for a moment, looking away towards the floor, and now as Kevin's phone went off her head would turn towards him.
"Mmmmm?"
It was a catchy song, his ringtone. She'd give a soft smile towards him, letting her eyes linger upon the couple not too far away.

He'd return the smile before he responded. "You mean to tell me that...you're that cute, with such a fucking OUT THERE sense of style, & you expect me to believe there's not much else?" He'd chuckle once he was done.
Seriously. Just by how she behaved, dressed, her attitude...there was something to her besides just that. It was something he sort of noticed; those who stood out due to external qualities had something in them of equal or even greater magnitude & influence.
Or he could just be guessing & hoping. He smirked at the thought, the back of his mind processing that he found what her eyes were wandering to.
"Y'know...it's not as hard to be like those guys, even though it seems that way."

"You mean to tell me that...you're that cute, with such a fucking OUT THERE sense of style, & you expect me to believe there's not much else?"
She'd think for a moment, resting her index finger upon her chin as those eyes glanced towards the ceiling before looking back at Kevin, after a moments thought she'd smile and give a small nod.
"Yep."
She smiled, lips glossed as she did so. Reaching for her tea again, to bring it to her lips. She'd give the couple a small glance before uncrossing her legs and crossing them yet again.
"Y'know...it's not as hard to be like those guys, even though it seems that way."
"Nani?" (what?)
Turning her head to him, tilting to the side for a moment. But she'd then look towards the couple again, finally realizing what he was talking about. Another shrug would roll from those shoulders, as if it hadn't mattered to her.
