"Ten years," Rat murmured, as he made his own play. Bridge was a simple enough game, if you were familiar with the rules, and he seemed confident enough.

Drake caught that number as he made his play.
"So... your from our world. One of the orphans?"

Rat scoffed, turning his gaze up to Drake. His eyes were a brilliant, bright blue, shining bright from an otherwise average face. He meshed his teeth together.
"Don't remember," he muttered, motioning with his cards for Drake to play his hand. "Don't remember much but pain and blood."

Drake shrugged as he made his play.
"That's about all there was really... When you and your sister are reunited, and your free from Snake's grasp, what are you going to do?"

Rat didn't so much as flinch when Drake mentioned his sister. Instead, he played his hand. Making sure his play was successful, he turned his gaze up to the man again.
"Pass."

He would say as he made his new play.
"What is your sisters name, if you don't mind me asking?"

Rat fell silent for a moment as he made his play. There was a moment, just a moment, of pain that flashed across his face.
"Mouse. I... Her actual name is Mouse..."

Drake nodded. He could tell this was a sensitive subject.
"How old is she?"
He would ask as he made his next play.

"She's eleven, now. Almost twelve."
Rat gave a shake of his head and sighed.
"She disappeared when she was five. Might not even remember me, at this point."

"I'd be willing to bet she will."
Though Drake couldn't bring himself to tell Rat that the cost of her rescue would be her sight...
"I want to help find your sister. Is there anything about here that would help me do just that?"
He would ask as he made his play.

"Its been years since I've even heard about her," he murmured, eyeballing the hand he had for a moment before making his play. "But she... She was just developing her Qi. It was... weird. She... her eyes changed, and it looked like there were... runes in them? I don't know how to describe it."
Rat gave a slight shrug.

He would ask as he played his hand.

The boy rolled his eyes, giving a shake of his head. He played his hand, cursing slightly as he failed, and then motioned for Drake to go.
