“Oi.” She chuckled. “I’m not so used to it. Always been more of an in the now kind of person. Can’t expect or plan for everything.”
Shrugging she was more relaxed. Spike was a bit more forward than his father... or really most of the people she has met lately. She was growing increasingly tired of high and mighty vague talks. This was a refreshing change.

"Everyone has a role. I always thought mine was to become super strong and grow into something like my dad, so my people would respect me as they did him."
He'd scratch at his chin.
"But, really I don't think that's my path anymore. It's the same as preparing for what's to come. Just gotta find yourself, what you can do to get everyone ready, and focus on that."

“If all children were bound by their inheritance then I’d either be a whore or scraping barnacles off a ship belly either way drowning in alcohol and whatever else available.” She dodged a bullet with that one by some miracle.
“You know anything about the mysterious groups that keep poking at the apartments?” She’d switch gears thinking that was all the information she could get based on the conqueror or the ark.

Spike would sigh heavy at her next question.
"Only thing I know for sure is they might be connected with this underground group thats been kidnapping and selling meta children."

Her eyes widened. “Fuck.”
Her morals have switched gears through the years. She’s always had a soft spot for outcast children unable to defend for themselves. She knew what that was like. When you got a job and you had to transport people you made a Choice to value your life over another because you were afraid of how painful dying might feel. But with time comes experience and experience comes strength. She can’t take back who she was but she can start again. These kinds of things made her stomach sick.
