Eye See You (Spike)

[Brianna Valdyr]

"You've got all that figured out on your own without one? Sounds like you need to look in a mirror, buddy."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would smile.

"Thank you for the vote of confidence, but I am no leader. My name alone disqualifies me for that, and my relationship to my father has enough of a negative connotation behind it that if I were the leader it would immediately fail. I will play a support role and play the strategist."

[Brianna Valdyr]

You know who's not going to disagree with that? This girl.

"Makes sense. Sounds like you're becoming a whole new you, then." She itched to speak up for her own vote, but she wasn't even in yet. "Might be you find it in one of your newer people then. What would you need to join?"

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would shake his head.

"Right now the group hasn't officially recruited any permanent spots, we have all simply agreed that these criminals need to be brought to justice. If I can't find someone to lead the group there is no reason to recruit."

[Brianna Valdyr]

"Well then, consider me someone that agrees. But if you're looking for a leader, I'd look to see who's good with people - metas and normies."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would nod.

"True, someone who can think on the fly, draw attention. Care for and help all those in need."

[Brianna Valdyr]

It took her all of five seconds of holding back before she caved, a small grin curling at the edges of her lips.

"Any problems with the idea of being lead by a Valdyr?"

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would chuckle.

"I have no issues with it. If you want to put your name forward for leadership I'll support it. Just got to see how everyone else feels about it."

[Brianna Valdyr]

Brianna let out a low whistle. "Well now, there's something you don't see everyday." She chuckled and nodded, one hand resting on her hip.

"But, yeah, consider this me putting my name forward."

[Sage Sudeki]

"Oh?"

He wondered if she figured out who he was from his introduction. It's not like he wasn't somewhat famous from the war, but him being the prince of the Lightning Country as a protectorate of Cabal prolly had him on the radar enough. Or maybe she could somehow see he was a Sudeki, though he didn't share his families dark hair and eyes.

She was after all a Valdyr, which put her in the know of any alias or name the son of The Lightning Dragon might have. Otherwise he would accept that her name was put forward for leadership.

[Brianna Valdyr]

"Mhmm." Brianna shrugged. "You said your family's got a reputation. So does mine. Sometimes the two don't mix." Didn't matter who you were, she found that there were few exceptions ot the rule. Hell, her parents hadn't even been exempt.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would chuckle a bit.

"Yeah. I made a bad choice a long time ago and helped an enemy of my family and because of that there were some hardships for me within the group. We make a lot of enemies a lot of the time, even each other."

He'd drop the smirk and with a serious tone would add.

"I wouldn't change my choice."

[Brianna Valdyr]

"Family's family. If we were meant to get along all of the time, we wouldn't be." She appreciated the tone, and the fact Spike stood by his decision, and it was in the past now.

"You stand by what you did instead of denying it. I can respect that."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would nod.

"If you were the leader, what would be your priority? Your focus?"

[Brianna Valdyr]

"Keeping the peace and rooting out the problems here." The answer came at once as she ticked off her explanation finger by finger.

"People aren't going to trust us at first, whatever we do. We'll need to make sure we can handle ourselves in public, normies and other qi users alike. Build our name for more than just being flashy. Safe havens and security, especially with these problems people look away from, like these kids." Even mentioning it brought a frown to her face. How many people actually knew about it?
