"Come on, Mitsuki... You have to connect with the song. It sounds good, but there's no emotion in it."
She wasn't nervous; she was ready to play the four songs she had practiced with her brother, who would accompany her on the drums. His words were repeatedly playing in her mind; in order for her to put emotion into the song, she'd have to apply herself, connect herself some way with it. She'd apply herself, but it was simply that she didn't know how; so while Reita was getting acquainted with the drum set, Mitsuki scanned the audience, watching as they all fell silent. She had sent an invite to sensei, hoping that he would come only because she wanted to get some training in afterwards.
A recital.
She turned her eyes over at Reita, nodding at him, signaling that she was ready.
During her first piece, there was a lack of feeling for the first half of the song. She hit the notes and dynamics, but a rather stoic expression, a dazed one, remained on her face. After the first half, she closed her eyes and simply let go. Might as well make this a good one...
After the four pieces had been done, Mitsuki left the stage after receiving a standing ovation. The next person up her age began setting himself up for his turn; it wasn't a contest, just a recital to raise money for some cause. Mitsuki didn't know since her brother signed her up.
Backstage, she began putting her violin back into it's case. Was Sensei here, or would she have to go to that foul smelling place?

So he wasn't here, and she wasn't surprised. Perhaps she should simply go over to his place, but there were also chances that he might not have received her invite, or simply did not care. Maybe he didn't get the idea that she wanted him there so they could start right away, but either he was busy, or...she shrugged it off. She would find some way to practice with another person; there was always Reita, who she could always rely on to improve her skills, but he was just like her, and she like him. Their train of thought were similar, so predicting moves against each other proved to be easier than others. Maybe she could train with Sikai...
He was still a young puppy, and the faster Mitsuki trains him, the more loyal and obedient he'll be when older. Holding the violin case with one hand, she found Sikai wagging his little tail, excited to see his owner coming back for him. No pets were allowed inside, so she had tied him to a tree behind the theatre where 'trespassers' weren't allowed. In a matter of seconds, Mitsuki and Sikai were headed to a specific location.
"...Mitsuki?"
"Help me train Sikai."
"And just why would I want to do that?"
She thought for a moment; he had a good point. Her decision on going to Andrew had been so sudden, but she remembered that he was good with dogs; quite horrible with cats. She stared at him with a blank expression on her face before looking down at Sikai, then back at Andrew. She turned away from him, heading down the street once again until his hand grabbed her shoulder, knowing very well that she wouldn't have stopped if he simply called her name. He was predictable when it came to emotions.
"I'll do it... But, you're going to have to be there whenever Si-kai is being trained."
"..you think I'd actually leave my dog alone with you?"
For some reason this didn't feel right. The whole, Andrew-Sikai-Mitsuki thing.
"Beautiful."
She gave him a look.
"I was talking about the dog, baka."
Kind of hard being stoic around Andrew.
She had known him since diapers, afterall.

"Hwe."
He sat.
"Hwe."
He barked.
"Hwe."
He attacked.
"잘했어."
She stared down at Skye, who in turn faced up at Mitsuki.
"사워면 이길수있겐이?"
"Mitsuki, he's not even full grown yet. Still has a lot to learn."
"나미더죠."
"...okay."
All three of them walked down the street, the nearly full grown Sikai trotting beside them. Her brother, Andrew and herself had been at Andrew's house training Sikai using various tones of whistles in Mitsuki's voice, so that it would only recognize her whistle when given commands. He was her special dog. He was, now, six months old, and Mitsuki was having a wonderful time with the pup, having a connection with the dog stronger than that of one she had with her brother. It was indescribable how to two had connected and clicked into place. Now with all of the comments memorized, they were now headed toward the shooting range for some strange, particular reason.
Oh, you didn't know? She was being taught how to handle a gun, which was quite interesting if I do say so myself.

Bang...
Finger was still en-laced around the black ring, the metallic device kept still on both hands. The smooth weapon was beginning to feel like home to the young girl, feeling as if it were now replacing her cellular device. Left hand lowered to the ground as she shot at the circular target effortlessly with her right hand, eyes aligning up the two smaller rings to better her aim. Andrew stood beside her, nodding to himself in approval, his own hand lightly tapping hers to see how fast she could recover. The target started to move, and Mitsuki would occasionally blink as she shot off all the rounds, only just now getting used to the exploding sound that occurred when it went off. He pulled the headphones off her head, wanting her to get used to a more real life setting. He doubted that if she ever pointed that weapon at a person she would have the safety goggles and headset.
Another exploding thunder went off, multiple times, repeatedly one after another. At the end of this clip, the target automatically began advancing forward to see how many bullets actually hit, and how many had missed. She was not satisfied to see a bunch of holes on the target; although Mitsuki may be aiming a bit to high when it came to her personal goal, she wanted one hole, dead center. And she'll be damned if she doesn't reach it either.
And so she spoke.
"Again."

"You free Friday night?"
"Why?"
"Figured we could go out and grab something to eat."
She knew what he was aiming for behind that innocent question, and for that reason alone, she shook her head. She did not see his disappointed frown nor did she withdraw herself away when he flung his arm around her shoulder, half leaning against her as they continued to walk. To be honest, for some reason she felt perfectly comfortable whenever someone she knew kept an arm around her, so long as it was certain that they weren't trying to kill her. It never occurred to her how much she and Andrew looked like a couple at this moment, but it was apparent that Skye disliked the close proximity, and openly growled while he walked on the other side of Mitsuki. Andrew, who noticed this, slowly withdrew and slipped his hands into his pocket.
"What about Satur-"
"Don't. We've been through this before. Let's not go through this again."
"Who is it?"
"...what?"
"The guy. Unless you turned lesbian on me? Is it that blue haired guy?"
"Ha-ha, that's really funny."
Although she did not have to remind Andrew that she was colorblind, she knew exactly who he was talking about. Still, she shook her head, picking up her pace as she began to walk ahead.
"There is no other guy."
He caught up with her, matching her pace.
"...oh. I need you to take care of Skye for a while."
"You goin' somewhere?"
"..yeah. Something like that."
"Where?"
Mitsuki shook her head, handing him the leash and crouching down in front of Skye, saying goodbye before kissing him on the nose.
"None of your business."
"...when are you coming back...?"
The black haired girl was already crossing the street when he yelled those words out, her shoulders giving a light shrug as she hauled down a taxi.
"I don't know."
