The pink-haired female took her last step from the plane's boarding stairs. It was a pretty long trip from Japan to here, but a friend of hers had asked to do a ... visit to someplace.
"Ready to come back, Emily-san?" The small plush doll in the woman called out, both him and his holder looking up to the airplane door.
"Do you think she's stable enough, Reira-sama?"
The pink haired woman merely nodded and waited for Emily to finally step down.

Emily peeked from the door, and looked down to meet eyes with her doctor. "Anou... I'm not so sure about this, maybe we should go back to Japan... or maybe just start anew in the Ph-Philippines, right?"
Well, her psychosis was still there. In fact, Emily didn't know if her treatment in Japan worked. After all, she was treated no more than a guinea pig in the hospital she went to - knowing that there was no future in the country you once lived in peace for a few years before was a little heartbreaking.
Well, at least she could still visit. Considering that she already had her manga published there. No one could say when she'd release her next manga, but in all honestly - Emily was considering to retire from the manga world and just ... head for a normal life here in the west.
She took her first step down, followed by yet another, whereas her fear and uncertainty followed suit and stepped down from it's old throne on her head. Certainly; if a good future was to be had, it must be in here.
"Guess I have no choice." Emily pouted, "I'm quite glad to be out of Japan."
She was bluffing. California was a desert, and the temperature here wasn't as comfortable... then again - the Philippines was worse in terms of climate.
"Oy... how's my apartment?" she finally asked, hoping she could go back. After all, most of her belongings area still there.

Layla smiled at Emily's decision to finally step out of the airplane. Though, what seems to be a worsening mental state of this girl is showing. One second, she was afraid of getting out of the airplane and wanted to go back to Japan. Next, she was saying how much she felt so good leaving Japan - an ultimate contradiction of herself. Could it be Bipolar disorder?
Layla shook her head, such thoughts shouldn't be entertained right now. First thing's first; Emily had to be brought home to rest for school at 259 again. "Your apartment's been kept well; the landlady was glad to keep it clean for the duration of our leave."
Shinichi made a sighing noise just a moment later, and said "She charged us though. I bet she'll be asking for a bonus."

An Old Employer... To be blunt, he'd been wondering where the hell all his employees had disappeared off to. It was rumored that the feared Valekin Von Kaluskov XII had gone off to Philadelphia. Aureus had apparently just dropped out of things, including his job as a pillar. The applicant by the name of Amuri Chihiro had never shown up for work, Mr. Yamato had disappeared, Calamity had probably quit and gone off to make sure she'd avoid him at all costs... and then of course, his restaurant has to go and get ruined up by the bastard named Dylan.
Oh. He'd followed up. Given the circumstance at hand, and the papers for his shop, he'd managed to get some information out of the attendance ladies at Public High School #259. Moreover... this is how he'd learned that Emily, who had disappeared on him for a few months, had apparently gone to Japan for... 'personal' matters. And in fact, was... coming back?
...The information was rough, but on that day...
Well, "Unfettered" watched from the distance, a little bit more worn out in appearance, but wearing the same attire as he ever did these days. A light, but kind smile on his face... he'd be among the few to welcome her back, as the plane let out its passenger(s).
A quick wave, as he was with whoever was amongst the reception.

Emily looked at Layla and shrugged, "And you just had to spend money, eh Reira?" She said, teasing with an old Japanese switch of the L and R. "I'll go on ahead... and grab some-"
Emily trailed off as she saw someone familiar in the distance. Though looking a little more battered than usual, the Filipina found herself blinking. "-thing to eat. I'll be right back."
She didn't wait for any reply of some sort. She took off with her small, green backpack and took off for the reception area. There wasn't much people today at the airport, and given the current time - some people were easy to see.
She smiled and ran to his direction, waving back. "Hey!" She greeted, "Ho-how did you...?!" She trailed off again, practically shocked at how Winters found her flight times. Well, it probably did cost him some time to find it out, concerning that it wasn't much of a secret that she went back to japan, but for what reason - no one should know.
Well, at least this guy probably had an idea. She worked for him.

Yeah... =D "Unfettered" only knew of the bare details. ...Which was the same as saying 'next to nothing'. 'Personal matters'? Neh... the restaurant was in a slump, but that didn't really matter as much anymore. A jump of the gun... what was more important was..."...Vell... You didn't make it eazy for me, ja?" A grin on his face. But the eye wasn't as... well, 'happy'. There was endearment for seeing an old friend, but there was also this 'weariness' in it, as opposed to several weeks/months ago. The few hours he'd been standing about had given him some time to think, in truth. But he shook his head dismissively, eye closing, before looking again. He'd made up his mind."But enough about me... how are you, eh?" A coyish grin. No, he wasn't good at small talk.
...Hopefully, however, the 'thought' would go through. Simple pleasantries.
Before...

Emily blinked, blushed for a mere moment, and shook it off. Few people asked how she was. Most of them got clobbered up by Kari.
Kari barely existed, but she was still part of who she is right now - a crazy guinea pig.
"Ah, I've been well." she said, before suddenly realizing something and immediately stuffing a hand onto her backpack and began searching "Oh... since you came all the way to go here, I guess you can have this."
The hand came back out with a book around 3/4ths of an inch thick and it handed the book over to him, "It's my latest work." She said, smiling.
Then her thoughts trailed back to where her doctor was, where was Layla anyways?
Then again, that woman didn't care about this kinda thing much. If she knew her better she'd be either a) waiting at the airport exit; or b) going on ahead to get herself some sewing supplies.

Actually... ..He didn't notice too much the blush. Or maybe he made himself not notice. But he took the book, smiling in turn. "Latest vork?" ...Gently, he'd take it, and slowly begin flipping through it. Eye quickly taking note of th... Wow. Hahaha... wow. The smile on his face creased even larger. "...Glad to see you're still keeping yourzelf busy."...
But the smile quickly died down. Even as he held the book close to him, as if something precious might fly away if he didn't. "But, vat do you intend to do now?"Warily, he watched her. Time wasn't on his side, but maybe she would... Possible, hm? But would she even consider that?
First, he needed to check.

"But, vat do you intend to do now?"
"What I intend to do now?" She repeated, looking up with crossed arms to think if over. Well, honestly - she hadn't given it much thought, but only a few things were for certain.
"I haven't thought about it much," she said, "But I do have to return to 259."
She then looked down at Winter and smiled, "... and if the restaurant's still up I'd like to continue working, actually."
Emily blinked though, her boss seemed a little worried or unhappy about something. Being clueless as she was, she definitely had no idea... what else is there to do but ask? But that was for later.

...The Restaurant... "...Oh, aye... Good, gut... Ja. You can..." still distracted, he quickly recovered by throwing a grin. How do you get onto the topic of the fact that the restaurant had been mauled by a group of +10 people? Or the fact that he had been... 'building' his reputation at 259 in a violent manner?
..Or more importantly, the fact that he wanted to ask if she'd support him? Gather some like-minded people, share his goals. That was funny. He'd actually admitted it to himself. But asking now would be rude."Zey been feeding you well on zat airplane? Or do you vant to go get some chow---Unless you need to meet up with zat woman you were talking with earlier?"Increasingly, this was beginning to sound like something he hadn't meant it to sound like. But, who knew? For now, he'd just go with it...

"Zey been feeding you well on zat airplane? Or do you vant to go get some chow---Unless you need to meet up with zat woman you were talking with earlier?"
There's the opportunity to know what's been going on. Grab it.
"Ah, Layla and I talked it over before we left Japan." She said, a hand running through her hair. "If I get 'lost' ... as if I'd get lost anyway... we'll just meet at school tomorrow afternoon... so yeah..."
She sweatdropped, "E-eh... They served Tofu on the airplane... I don't really like it so..." she trailed off, "... I guess I hadn't eaten anything besides a couple of sandwiches during the flight. Horrible food, really."

Then How About~ "Zen... how about we hit up a restaurant? Get zat bad taste out of your mouth." he'd say with a sympathizing smile, eye half-open, eyebrow arched in a happy manner. "Zere's a good Mexican restaurant around here called 'Molly's', but you'll need to be hungry, ja?"...Coincidentally not bringing up the restaurant. This need not to cause at least, immediate worry. And then, during the meal, of course, you can't say it until at least thirty minutes of finishing eating, due to possible indigestion, ja?
That, or he was just making innumerable excuses.
In turn, he shrugged, as to what she may alternatively want to do.
...Although more secretly hoping she'd just ask the question of 'how the restaurant' was doing... yet terrified at the same time. Didn't want to add immediate stress, after all... it'd be inconsiderate. No, he'd wait for a more opportune time to pose his proposals, answer unasked questions, etcetera.
To reiterate, he waited. Leaning on his right foot, hands in his pockets.

Emily blinked. Usually, restaurant owners would bring their guests to their restaurant out of pride and practicality; you own the place, so things are free. This time though, her boss decided to take her to a mexican restaurant - she never really had much mexican food, in all honesty. She nodded, "Alright, sounds good enough!"
She smiled, despite the thought that there must've been something that happened to the restaurant. It probably wasn't very good either.
"Has th- .. no, um..." she was hoping to ask about it, but maybe that was for later. It is best he told her himself. "... Lead the way to the food."

Be Brave, Be Brave "Alright, sounds good enough!"Hehe. That was Emily for you. Putting on a smile of his own, almost relieved, he nodded with added encouragement."Has th- .. no, um..."...?
He looked back, wondering, genuinely curious."... Lead the way to the food."?
??
Shaking his head, he walked on, waiting for her...
Lying to himself again. Already vaguely aware that she knew something was wrong.* * * * * * Time Passage * * * * * * OOC: If you don't like this, PM me, and I'll edit.Stopping in front of a place named 'Molly's" he looked at it. Looking to his side, to see if she was there, and then looking back at the building again. One-story place... nice 'Mother's Kitchen' feel to it to make a person feel at ease. Run by a Mexican family, great aromas of food rolling in and about... That fresh smell of good coffee swimming out in all its richness, every time the door opened?
Yeah.
A grin was on his face."..A little zimple... but... itz a good place."

"..A little zimple... but... itz a good place." Emily was then led to the restaurant Unfettered had mentioned, Molly's.
Sweet aroma came flooding her olfactory senses, It smelled good. Several happy customers walked out of the restaurant a second earlier, smiling and murmuring how good the food was here - Emily thus, became more interested.
Emily's stomach grumbled in reply. The girl laughed nervously, "I think my stomach agrees."
