Um... Surprise? (Aureus)

[Mitsuki Park]

"I am in need of the home address of the former student Aureus Hayes?"

A post-it note was handed to her.

"Thank you."

So you might be wondering who she was talking to? The secretary, of course. So how did she acquire private information? Connections, you could say. It's not as if Mitsuki threatened the secretary with blackmail, nor is it like Mitsuki was close with her to start off with. The two held a mutual respect for one another, you could say. Their relationship is a bit hard to explain.

So now you might be wondering why Mitsuki is standing in front of this ex-pillar's house? Reasons will come later. For now, she waited patiently for him - or someone - to answer the door.

If no one answered, then she'd kick it down return another day.

[Aureus]

Covered by only a towel, a sweaty Levi answered the door. "Hellooooooo, Mitsuki." He said in semi-surprise as he looked down at the School Captain. "Jeez, it's been a while, eh?" He asked as a redhead quickly threw on her clothes in the background. "Is that my boyfriend!?" She yelled at Levi whilst stumbling around. "No, no just a friend. Yeah...could you hit the bricks? Yes...I'll call you later." He called back to her. Soon the girl was dressed and rushing out the door past Mitsuki. "Heh...not really the best of times, but as you can see I'm free now. Come on in." Levi said with friendly smile as he stepped aside for her.

Long story short, Aureus' new lack of emoness gave Levi the inspiration for a few shallow, lusty relationships. Being in a band made the whole thing pretty easy too. 'What about Max?' one might ask. The answer was simple: they both decided it better for them not to have a relationship and not to mention he didn't want to be clingy like Aureus. Oh and Ash was out of town for the week, leaving the schizo alone in the house.

[Mitsuki Park]

...um. No offense but...

Who the f&*k are you?

Of course she didn't say this out loud; Mitsuki didn't have a clue who Levi was after all. She didn't know Aureus had a split personality, so when the red haired boy answered the door quite cheerfully, covered in sweat and God knows what, saying her name and saying that it's 'been a while'...

Mitsuki never forgets faces, or voices. As far as she was concerned, she did not know this boy.

So she posed him as a threat.

She would have assumed he was the brother of Aureus if it weren't for that one line... It's been a while..?

"I'm looking for Aureus."

She stayed put. Like hell she was going to go inside.


Oh, as for the girl? Don't care, won't ask. Simple as that.

[Aureus]

It was hard keeping track of who knew only one of his personalities, especially when it had been so long. I mean sure, Mitsuki was the School Captain and he was technically under her command, but after she "hired" him, they really hadn't talked...ever. "Oh...I'm sorry. My name's Levi; Aureus and I share a body. Err...I'm his split personality. Nice to meetcha." The boy replied, extending his hand for a shake. Regardless of whether or not she accepted the courtesy, he would then surrender control to Aureus. Right before Mitsuki's eyes would the boy's physical appearance change just a tad.

"Sorry about that, Mitsuki. I didn't realize my...condition had never come up before. Please come in." Aureus would say in a much more serious tone than Levi's. If she came in he would then excuse himself for a moment to get dressed. If she remained where she was he would simply ask what brought her there.

...well.

That was a lot to take in. It was like telling your wife and kids that you have a whole other family with a wife and kids. She shook his hand regardless, keeping a good eye on him to see if anything was fishy.

...

Wait. Scratch that, everything was fishy, it was hard to tell what was fishier than the rest. Really.

"Likewise."

Short and blunt. And then?

MAGIC!

Poof! Aureus appeared in front of her eyes. She stepped through the door, feeling her body relax a little more knowing that Aureus is Levi.

..something like that.

Was it odd that she was reminded of him at this time? He had another half too, after all..

She would wait exactly at the spot she was at while he went dressed. Unfortunately, she wasn't accustomed to going to peoples' houses. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to stand there, look around or just sit or what. Uncomfortable? Just a tad.

When he came, however...

"How are you holding up?"

She didn't know that he was depressed or anything; it was just a general question.

[Aureus]

"You can sit down, ya know." Aureus said with a laugh as he looked at the standing, uncomfortable looking Mitsuki. "Well...I'm alright now. Before, not so much. What with Chi, my Brimstone Delta addiction, and other stresses but that's a long story. What brings you here?" The teen replied after sitting down next to her, if she did indeed take a seat. It really was kind of random that she would show up like this.

She sat.

What? Can't blame her..

Stretching out her legs, she leaned back against her palms as she made herself rather comfortable on the floor. She rolled her neck, a light crack being heard before facing Aureus again, listening to him talk. Well, obviously he seemed to be doing better.


...okay, well it wasn't obvious, but he seemed to be doing pretty OK.

"To chill, I guess. Questions too, but I'd rather get acquainted before asking them, if you don't mind."

The questions she was going to ask weren't the type of questions you would ask an acquaintance. It would be more comfortable, she assumed, for the both of them if they got to know each other first.

"Why home-school?"

It was a simple question, one she thought she already knew the answer to.

The Senior was about to say something about them having a couch, but the girl seemed happy enough on the floor so he joined her. To chill? That doesn't sound like the Mitsuki I've heard about, but whatever. Aureus thought, the part about the questions intriguing him. He had an idea what they might be, but that would come later.

"Well, 'cause of all the things I just mentioned. At first I intended to leave the city entirely. Dunno where I would have gone, but Ash, err my mom, eventually talked me into staying. I thought home-school would be best for the time being. I needed to get away from all the drama at school to deal with my Brimstone issue and fragile emotional condition. All the pillaring stuff, Asiv dying, etc. It was a lot, everything with Chi and Karel too, I mean, yeah we kinda dealt with it, but then something just wasn't right between us. We never really officially broke up, ya know. We just...stopped talking. It was for the best, considering the drug issue, but I wish I could've done it differently. Anyways, withdrawal is a bitch...so I got help with that. And now I'm doin' better." Aureus said with a soft smile. He didn't know why he had gone into so much detail. He barely knew her, but it was nice to get off his chest. Mitsuki seemed like someone he could trust as well.

She was glad he was doing better; all that drama for him must have been a pain in the ass, and sometimes, when you just have too much on your hands, a nice vacation is just what you need. Too bad a vacation isn't even an option for someone like her. But still, their ways of coping with stress were different, and so were the amount of stress one could take on.

She was, however, thankful to his mother; if she didn't convince him to stay in the city, Mitsuki wasn't sure if she would have been able to find him. Of course, she could easily track a person down, but it was a matter of Mitsuki's will. Was she willing to go through the trouble of finding him, and would she need him in the future enough to locate him.

"Just curious, but you ever going to come back to 259?"

[Aureus]

Ah, so now they were getting down to business. Mitsuki must've come to him because she needed him for one thing or another. Not that that was wrong or anything, it was just the truth. Perhaps tensions were beginning to boil over at 259, and the young School Captain needed someone to help her keep things under control. "Yeah, I've been considering it. I'm curious as to what exactly you need help with, but since I told you a little about me, why don't you share some?"

[Mitsuki Park]

Woah, getting a little ahead of ourselves, are we?

Mitsuki asked for genuine curiosity rather than seeking help. Granted, what she needed guidance - opinions - on involved the school, but she didn't want to talk about all this just now. She was sure he thought the same way - the fact that the two hardly knew eachother, she wasn't ready to confide in him just yet. Could she trust him? Maybe, depending on the situation.

Whatever. She'll just tell him.

"Someone's declared war against the me. You would know him as 'Thrush' or Johnathon Winters. Not sure if I should take him seriously or not."

Mitsuki left out some obvious parts, but those would come later if she deemed them necessary.

"Not only me, but the Enforcers, who have also been quite problematic. Thing is, I'm not fond of them either."

And then, her grand master plan!

"I'm going to exterminate them."

Them. The Enforcers.

How?

As for Unfettered? She'll take him down if she has to.

[Aureus]

"Haha...war? Why?" Aureus would ask, amused at the type of drama still plaguing his old school. Maybe he had changed a lot. As for Winters, Aureus was keenly aware of the boy. Overall he seemed like a decent guy, and had even given Aureus a job a while back. He had since quit to deal with his drug problem, but still. Maybe the boy was still going on about revolution and all that. It all seemed so...overblown now.

[Mitsuki Park]

It was kind of a curious thing why Aureus asked her why war, rather than why she was going to exterminate them, or even how. But why is she asking him?

"I'm not him."

To be honest, war in high school just sounded rather silly to Mitsuki. She would have preferred some sort of other term, like...a huge disagreement of some sort, and settling it through physical infliction.

Because we all know that the enforcers aren't going to leave if you ask them nicely.

But Aureus' thoughts were initially correct. She wasn't here to just chill, Mitsuki hardly ever did that.

She was actually in need of his help. But of course, she would have assumed by now that he figured it out on his own.

[Aureus]

"Alright so the whole point of this little visit is you want me to knock some skulls for you, eh? Well, why should I, Suki?" Aureus asked, straight faced. He was all business at the moment, and the Enforcers hadn't done anything to inconvenience him yet. Why should he go out of his way to help a girl he barely knew? Maybe it was a little selfish, but the fact was, if you didn't look out for yourself, you can bet your ass no one else would.
