Fighting Style: Jeet kune Do/ Hapkido
Years practiced: 8/6
Description of style
Jeet Kune Do Jeet Kune Do advocates may utilize techniques from any martial art; the trapping and short-range punches of Wing Chun, the kicks of northern Chinese styles as well as Savate, the footwork found in Western fencing and the techniques of Western boxing, to list but a few. JKD in its later phases was heavily influenced by Western boxing and fencing (whereas the backbone concepts such as centerline, four gates, vertical punching, straight blast, "entering", and forward pressure come from Wing Chun). This style is like the flow of water For instance, instead of using footwork to position the body for maximum fighting position vis-a-vis the opponent, JKD uses flowing boxing "entries" that do not require "bridges" from Wing Chun.Jeet Kune Do not only advocates the combination of aspects of different styles, it also has to change many of those aspects that it adopts to suit the abilities of the practitioner. Additionally, Jeet Kune Do advocates that any practitioner be allowed to interpret techniques for themselves, and change them for their own purposes. One of the theories of JKD is that a fighter should do whatever is necessary to defend oneself, irrespective of where the techniques used come from to win the battle.
1. Five Ways Of Attack
A. Single Angular Attack and its converse Single Direct Attack.
B. Hand Immobilization Attack and its counterpart Foot Immobilization attack, which make use of “trapping” to limit the opponent to function with that appendage.
C. Progressive Indirect Attack. Attacking one part of the opponent's body followed by attacking another part as a means of creating an opening.
D. Attack By Combinations. This is using multiple rapid attacks as a means of using volume of attack to overcoming the opponent.
E. Attack By Drawing. This is creating an opening with positioning as a means of counter attacking.
2. Three Parts of JKD
Jeet Kune Do practitioners believe that techniques should contain the following properties:
Efficiency - An attack that reaches its mark
Directness - Doing what comes naturally in a learned way.
Simplicity - Thinking in an uncomplicated manner; without ornamentation.
Hapkido Hapkido includes a vast variety of arm an leg joint locks, weapon techniques, throw, kick, hit, and nerve pressure techniques. Hapkido is no martial sport but a martial art, which is outstandingly suitable for self-defense
Hapkido is based on three important basic principles:
1. The principle of the circle.
All movements are round. The Hapkido fighter moves as inside a ball. Influencing forces are rerouted from the outside and neutralized at the surface of the "ball".
2. The principle of the river.
As the river, which adapts extremely flexibly to the landscape and nevertheless in the moment the buildup develops an enormous strength, the Hapkidoka also sensitively reacts to his opponent, in order to let his pent-up "Ki" flow by the technique into the opponent in the crucial moment.
3 The principle of influence.
By lightning movements, which hardly can be noticed the aggressor is arranged to reflex countermovements, which then are used in a subsequent technique.

Not too long ago in Japan a young boy by the name of jinn was born into the world. At the young age of 3 jinn was living a very happy childhood and was already interested in martial arts, so his mother Mya whirlwind( who has recently passed away due to sickness) enrolled him into a small dojo in town.By the age of 6 jinn was becoming a skilled martial artist trained in both Jeet Kune Do and Hapkido expectations for him was at a all time from his mother and sensei they both agreed he would make it one day.
By the age of 10 jinn was defeating students at different dojo's from left to right older than he was making him the youngest top rank fighter in the whole japan area. Until one day while he was trainning ay home and heard an explosion and it was coming from the dojo as he ran at blazing speeds towards the dojo he see crowds gather in his direction and as he reached the dojo in was engulfed by the flames and blood, spirit, tradition was lost in the air above him he mourned losing his sensei and dojo so much that it led him into darkness that he soon would fine out for the rest of his life.
Between the ages of 11 to 15 ever since his sensei died jinn was always in alot dangerous situations for not for his mother getting him out by selling her body(keeping it g-rated) he would of been killed plenty of times but she put him back on focus and made him continue his trainning all along not tellin him she was sick and slowly but surely dieing until she felt the time was right him to know. She put him in a school called PHS 259 so he could work on his studieds and do something constructive with his life, but he really didn't like to talk to people so he was labeled as a outcast to the school but he didn't care more trouble for me thats what he thought. As he was coming home and coming toward his house he seen his mother collasped on the ground and wasn't breathing when he rushed her to the hopsital to see if doctors could save her life they quicly noticed she was ill and it couldn't helped that what she had no cure for it so her last words were stay strong jinn and dont forget who you are that should keep u on the right path my son. then it ended and her time had come.
