Cool... but will others is the big question. and would they (the people of didn't post or fo) want to be a part of it? We would also need to get in a third party into the picture, although it doesn't have to be in a big way, that would just ruin it.
Doing something like that would take lots of planning... I would be more than happy to help btw.

Why wouldn't they like it? It does everything but hurt them. Third party could be Assiv, or one of the other teachers. And we dun need to think about planning till we get everyone's roles set.

This may ruin your mojo but... why?
I mean, if you are going to manipulate who become the pillars of the school, which in theory would take some work (even Dimir had to do that much), there would need to be some agenda behind it. A motive, if you will. Most common one I can think of would be control, however they need to be able to control the pillars they put in place. Can they do that? Saint has his weak spots to be controled by, I know, but do the others?
But perhaps I'm thinking about this a tad too much. ^_^;;
P.S. I do like the idea... just so you know ^_^

Well... From what I've seen, all of your characters are unstable. Saint seems quite a bit of a psychopath at times, Aureus is Schizo, and Dzan is... Uh... That... So... That could be a reason. >.> Or something... Just throwing out ideas.... Dun mind me...

that could be a good reason. Having totally crazy people could be part of a bigger plan. They are crazy enough to beat the crap out of you for breathing on them. Installs fear into the student body. Of corse there's going to be some rebels or something, and then the third party will try and break that group. Ya know, school wide domination, that kind of thing.

If you want my opinion, the tournament was proboably the wrong way to do this, at least for EVERY pillar position. Plus, it really has little meaning IC. "Fight to see who gets the position," is what you're saying, forgetting the fact that the ones who win might not do the job. The captain should of picked at least ONE person who she truly trusted for the title. Then for strength reasons, hold the tournament for another title (but she should of scrapped the locations, not cool). As for the last position it should of probably been decided through some sort of popularity thing again, she could host a poll for some remaining canidates, and the people could pick the third one.
This does a lot for IC plots and stuff, and a great foundation to establish a good sense for pillars.
Student body president: The voting.
Editor: The trusted one. (Since the editor could do some crafty stuff.)
Varsity captain: The tournament.
Of course, that was already ruined, but I just felt like saying it so you'll could see my genius. *Sighs* Oh well, if you guys want your so called pillar titles to be a 'challenge' to get, feel free to fight Jake IC, just uhh... no extreme locations, I prefer an all out brawl in the school causing some destruction, thank you.
(Wow, I talked a lot, must be school having my brain be recharged and stuff.)

Student Body President, purely popularity if looked at it the right way, you would want someone respected by the peers, not some sort of book nerd who always gets a swirly in the bathroom. Editor: Imagine, if the captain can TRUST them, couldn't the captain just help run the information that gets out to the public for everyone to see? If it was someone they barely knew, oh look there, you could have the pillar cross behind your back, and then make you look like the outcast. Of course, this is my logic. (Too bad it's too late to do this... >.>) |

How 'bout instead of bitching we think up some other things the Pillars have to go through after the tourney? An interview with the Captain only being a small suggestion, and not the only one. We could do more than one thing. The third party thing could still happen, without the Captain's knowledge. It could have been done since said third party thinks those Pillars would be the easiest for him to control. Later on we have some event where he goes around to each and tries to take control of them.

Okay, I'm in the middle of doing homework, so I have to say this REAAAALLLL quick. I haven't read everyone's post, but I'll get to it once I'm finished with it. I read half of the first post though! @@
Okay - so since a lot of people forfeited and so and such and so and so...and didn't post, and Allison is gone and there's three people left... Now, since school started - and with all the crappy homework I'm getting - I'm sorry for not updating the fight threads. @@;; But since Allison is gone, and won't return until the 20th, I think? Or after three days after I post up the next fights, she will be disqualified. I'm sorry, but I just want to get this over with. Seriously.
I don't mind making four seperate threads for four seperate people for an interview and what not, it's just that I might not post as often. Of course I'll be able to make time, but I have other...issues?
Sorry if I got any information wrong. I only did a quick skim. So.
Just tell me simply in a a couple of words.
Do you want to continue the tournament, or start something else?
