Ok everyone knows by now that Dion Regen was Dionysus in the quest. (If you dont where the fuck have you been?). Now he was 1 out of like 12 quest characters in all, now hes a normal character, I'm thinking to myself. "This is pretty cool, maybe....!!!!"
Then it hit me. What if I give the option for people to play quest characters to start out their character with their story line backing the quest, then when its over, they become a normal character, some stat adjustments and yer good to go.
I mean I'd still need to talk it out with the person, but this is like, fucking awesome in my mind.

I think it's a decent Idea. You'd just need to make sure that the quest stays active and the person isn't one of those all powerful type of guys, ya know?

Well, durring the quest the person would have quest character stats, but after they need to adjust to a normal character stats.
This is still in planning though.

But it is so much fun, really, being a quest character at one point... Its like a kick start to anyones story line.
Anyways, MORE INPUT!!!

Feasible, as long as you put a bunch of strict rules in place. This is something that will need the utmost supervision.

*The watcher of 259 quests.*
And the strictist rule is you must have 300 posts with a previouse character to do it.

I guess this could work if watched really carefully. I would have to say that you need to up the post cont requirement though. Make it like a reward for being here for a long time or something like that.

No.. I mean, the idea itself is great, but it just doesn't seem 259-ish.. It's probably just me though. -Shrug- But I voted no.

Let's see... to state, I'm fond of the idea.. to state some 'biased-ness', but let's see.
Activity is a major thing, as Travis pointed out. And keeping to XIN is the unofficial #1 rule in a way. And a flat out 'no' explains nothing, except makes you look like an ass.. (<_< Not talking behind your back, Jacob, just keeping it real).
Pros: Character has a powerful and compelling storyline. Maybe something weird and strange occured to them. Maybe they were previously a zombie and brought back to life. Kidding. XD
Example... 'Asiv's' New toy, a character made completely out from a 'test subject' who went through many years of Mr. Asiv's 'shady' background, with various drugs being tested on him, and now he's on the loose. Or. A character with an amazing amount of Qi, who goes insane, due to the sheer amount of power.
Quite simply put, they'd need a pretty DAMN good storyline or something, something that HEAVILY plays on background (such as, if they write a huge story during a long hiatus, and suddenly come back). Or, in the case of Jacob Ghiste, is a rival School Captain, and quite honestly is a bad-ass enemy trying to reak some havoc on our fair school.
At any rate, not only would it have to HEAVILY play into the STUDENT storyline, but the SCHOOL's (in most cases, I will acknowledge that someone out there could possibly come out with an exception).
This would be perfect for people who have to disappear for a bit on a vacation, and write a large series of posts that they then type down. (And they'd need prior permission from any and all people who may or may not come back). Whatever changes they go through would then allow them to be 'powered up' for the 'Quest' part of it (we can just explain it that they have a lot of pent-up Qi, that has super-charged them), and once the storyline's done, if this is an already established character, for whatever changes they go through, and for however many EXP pts are given out, at the end of the quest, they may 'adjust' their original stats, but so long as they maintain their original amount of points.
Example: Mitsuki Park suddenly leaves school (IRL, she goes for a Hiatus, due to AP testing and schools). She comes back, she has many pages of posts ready for her return, she types them all down, she then shows a darker side, maybe she's fallen in love with her brother or some other strange thing *shrug*, or maybe lost a brother, and therefore has a lot of agression (alternatively, in this scenario, instead of 'pent-up Qi', we could call it 'pent-up PMS'), and in all angst over losing her beloved, she goes for vengence against someone (in her storyline) who indirectly caused her all pain and grief.
2nd Example: Dylan comes out of the closet, and with his raging hormones, begins to rape everyone in school (in this situation, pent up Qi AND Testosterone AND ********* AND **********), he discovers he has AIDs, and goes off on a killing spree, so that when his character IC dies, his next character get's all previous earned points that Dylan had, and some bonus points for the EXP he earns, once the quest is done.
3rd Example: Jonathan or Thrush dies, and in rage, the surviving personality suddenly becomes very agressive or something.. *shrugs*
^_^ And in case your wondering, 1. I'm not voting, since 2. I know that I would use this system for my own needs (I'm going to the Phillipines for 2 weeks). If anything, here:
Pre-Requisites: -There is a feasible storyline that ranges over 5 FULL posts. -An DAMN GOOD explanation as to WHY they have all those powers (pent up Qi, drugs, etcetera). -Three admins/moderators must look over the storyline THOROUGHLY and make sure that it does not disrupt with XIN's storyline, and keeps to the true Xin spirit of things. -Post Character statistics must be already planned out (without the quest EXP, since that has yet to be earned, until AFTER the 'quest' the 'quest character' will play.
Yaar. Keep in mind, this CAN and, for it's purposes WILL empower the character with a LOT of POWER, that being the whole point. The admins/moderators have the right to be an ass about it, and reject it, even if the storyline prerequisites meet, simply because they don't feel the person is mature enough to keep to it. ..And, whatever else you can think of.

I dont know if this got through correctly or not, but the adjusting to stats thing was that you go into the quest super powaful, and come out of it normal like everyone else.
