[Cody Travers]

Cody was ushered into the kitchen of what seemed a very clean home. It almost looked as if this place was being used for the first time. This was very awkward for Cody..

..And yet..

He enjoyed it..

It was definetly a difference to what he was used to. His little one room home.

He smiled over at Calamity who had risen out of her seat and approached Cody. He slowly accepted her hand grabbing his shoulder lightly.

"Sit."

Cody nodded to Calamity and forced himself to walk as though he wasn't forcing anything.

He kinda failed at that too. He wasn't a good actor..At all..

He sauntered slowly to her chair and sat down slowly.

He felt her fingers brush hair from his face..He smiled.

"Did you sleep well?"

Dark circles were under Cody's eyes, for some reason a haunting presence was over his mind while he slept. There was no way he slept well. But for the sake of being around..

"Yeah..It was alright.."

He smiled.

What a horrible lie, but for the most part it was true. He did actually sleep despite his nightmare.

"Did you..?"

He tried to keep the subject from himself as he sat anxiously in the chair.

She'd slip across from him, letting her form fall into the wooden chair. Fingers would grip this table, gently letting her fingertips graze against the table top.

"Yeah..It was alright.."

She was silent, watching Cody with those blue eyes before leaning back in her seat.

"Did you..?"

A small nod.
Brushing a few strands of hair from her face.

"Ya, it wasn't too bad."

She'd glance over her shoulder, finding the wavering eyes of her uncle who was nearby.

Reizo wasn't sure how to feel about the young boy just yet, and as he'd gather up enough plates he'd catch Calamity's eyes.

"Are you hungry?"

Calamity would look away from her uncle, and would let those eyes wonder on Cody again.

Cody was rather comfortable where he was. This was a first time anyone bothered to even share anything with him let alone the home..

He sighed.

He looked around the kitchen as things went awry about him.

His eyes shined as light grazed down upon them, He looked at Calamity.

"Are you hungry?"

His stomach nearly growled at the sound of the word..

Yes food, he'd not had some in quite some time let alone a decent meal.

The small clanging of the plates were sounds that Cody wasn't familiar with, he didn't have any fancy things. He looked upward at Calamity's uncle and back at Calamity who was already watching him.

He wanted to say no..

"Yes..Please, that would be most definetely excellent..."

He brightened himself up and smiled at Calamity and her uncle being as appreciative as possible.

"What is for breakfast anyway?.."

He smiled a bit..

She smiled softly at cody, looking at him from across the table. A few strands of blond hair fell in her face, and she'd tilt her head to the side, blowing a few strands from her face before pushing them away herself with the back of her hand.

Now,with the question Cody had asked she'd turn her head to her uncle. who had looked directly at Calamity, as if he needed her permission to speak.she'd smile softly, and nod to him.

Encouring the older man to talk.

Anditwould be a moment before he' swallow and then let the words, or rather wordroll off of his tongue.


"Egg."

And the olderJapanesemanwould continue tocook the eggs, glancing at Calamity who wasletting a little giggle pass from her lips.

The light smell of intoxicating food filled the air..It was almost enough to make Cody drool with excitement..He smiled as the fact of food was coming along nicely.

And it pulled subject from him for a change..

Cody watched curiously as Calamity and her uncle would exchange looks.

Then suddenly her uncle spoke with a blurted tone.

"Egg"

Mm..Egg..

Something that Cody hadn't had in a while.

A very long while.

Calamity's giggles forced Cody's eyes over to her. She was smiling.

"Wow, great!" Cody was indeed famished. His eyes lit up like stars in the black sky.

"Is there anything I can do to help..?"

He moved his chair a bit away.. And lifted himself slightly up off the chair a bit..In expectation of being given a task.

"...We can also leave as early as you like, you know.."

He said sharply.

"Is there anything I can do to help..?"

Calamity would give a small shakeof her head, knowing fully well her uncle wasn't one for help. Now, giving her full attention to cody, those lips of her's curled upwards.

But then he spoke.

"...We can also leave as early as you like, you know.."

Brows furrowed, head tilting.

"Are you well enough?"

A simple question.
After all, he hadn't looked too good making his entrance into the kicthen.

But he couldn't stay at her home forevever.

Maybe it would be best.
To get him up and walking.

"Very well."

A forced smile.

"We'll head out after breakfast."

Cody sat back down to the pleasing response that they didn't need help. He smiled a bit now knowing that nobody needed his help. Although he felt rather indebted..He felt better knowing that he wouldn't have to do much.

"Are you well enough?"

He didn't feel well.

Not at all.

"Yeah..I'm fine."

Yeah, right Cody. Who the hell are you kidding?

The kitchen was...Clean...Very..Very..Clean..It almost scared him to the point where he actually FELT like he wanted to place his finger on the table..

He stopped.

"We'll head out after breakfast."

"Alright..It's settled then."

He watched Calamity's Uncle flip those eggs around like a pro. He felt hungry..But not too starving.

He licked his lips and turned his attention to Calamity.

"I don't know about you..But i'm hungry." He said rather gruffly.

He smiled.

"Alright..It's settled then."

A small nod.
Now looking to the side.
She reached for a small stack of magazines that had been neatly stacked.

An odd array of magazines.
Mostly Japanese.
Ranging from cooking to fashion.
Mostly fashion.

Why would Calamity have these?
Well, dhu.
She was a girl, so it would only make sense.

But honestly Calamity could have cared less about the least fashions, she wore whatever she wanted to when she wanted to.
She had them for one reason and one reason only.
Mainly to just see who was the face of the new fashion lies, mainly a bunch of new girls, but there were still a few she'd remember.
Only a few familiar faces on the covers of those magazines.



Flipping through the pages of one magazine, her attention was now pulled away.
Back onto Traverse.


"I don't know about you..But I'm hungry."

"Mmmm..."

A soft smile flashed in his direction and she'd close the magazine, neatly setting it back with the others.

Awkward position..

Cody watched curiously as she picked off one of them fashion magazines and opened it to read it. He eyed the front cover closely. It definetly caught Cody by surprise.

The front of the cover said..

"Whatever happened to them?" And..What looked like...A picture of Calamity on the front cover!..

He looked up at the girl reading, then back down at the cover..Then back up again!..

He wasn't sure to think...Or ask..So he decided to keep his big mouth shut..

But then again..

It all fit..The big manor..Butler-like Uncle..Everything all fancy and clean..Fancy outfits and such..It fit all to well..

Yet Cody managed to hold his tounge. He knew what it was like to be famous..He was pursued just for being famous..Wanting to be killed in fact..Cody was a different kind of famous..

He sighed heavily at the thought..He didn't really feel hungry anymore..

He watched as Calamity's Uncle loaded the eggs onto the plates and set them in front of the two of them.

"Hmm.." Cody said quietly..The small flashback running through his head..He looked at the egg..Then Calamity..Then slowly leaned back into his chair..

She'd peek over at her uncle, who was dishing up their plates. A tongue sliding along her lower lip, she really ws hungry. the adult had dished up their plates, setting them before one another, with toast and such.

Calamity would thank him, a soft smile as he'd take his plate and depart fromthe kicthen. He was such a secretiveoldman, but Calamity loved him.

Now, looking towards her plate, she had reached for her fork. Taking it up into her hands and she'd begin to stab at the eggs, cutting a bit before bringing a bite into her mouth.

"Mmmmm."

A quick smile.

"He always makes the best eggs."

Peeking over at Cody.

"Well? How do you like it?"

It was quite odd.

Cody watched as the old man scooped up his plate and left the room, of course, not after giving Calamity her plate. He watched with a curious eye as Calamity elegantly took a bite of her egg that was given to her.

"Mmmmm."

"He always makes the best eggs."

Interesting..

Cody hadn't even taken oen bite of this "best egg ever".

He sat there. Staring at the delicous morsel that was placed in front of him. He was hungry, but at the same time he wasn't hungry. He watched it curiously.

"Well? How do you like it?"

Cody looked up at Calamity quite surprised. She was smiling at him as she ate.

"Uh..It's..It's good.."

He hadn't even taken a bite yet though..

He picked up his fork..Albeit trying to act like a gentleman. He wanted to act more prim after looking at the way Calamity acted...He took a bite of his egg.

It tasted like..

Egg..

"Mm..Yeah..It's good.." He sulked over his seat.

Calamity sat up in her seat, watching Cody silently, a smile still placed upon her lips. A few blond strands fell in her face, and a hand would rise to push those pesky strands away. she'd glance to the de, peeking down the hall, just wondering if he runcle waslurking near by, but he was not.

Now, looking back to cody, she'd take notice of his egg. It was uneaten, brows would furrow for a moment, tilting her head to the side in curiosity. Thoguh she'd keep silent, looking down to continue upon her own egg.

but she'd peek upwards through thick lashes. Looking up at him as he seemed to loom over his own plate. licking her lower lip, grabbing a near by napkin and gently dabbing at her lips before leaning forward.

"Is something wrong, does it taste bad?"

She was curious, slightly sitting up in her seat as to eye his egg with those blue eyes of her's. Blinking those orbs for moment before finally seating herself again.

The egg looked fine.

So what was up?

"Cody?"

Her head tilted to the side.

" Are your arms hurting you again?"

It seemed that silence had taken over his mind..He'd gone deep into thought during a time like this. It was needed though..Since things were just too destructive to be aware for Cody.

It seemed like he was lost in his own thought as what he was going to do with himself. He looked around at what Calamity had. The difference between his life and hers. It was all too much to bear..He couldn't believe this girl had taken him in for the moment.

And yet strangely enough..His arms hadn't hurt all day..

He loomed over his food..almost as if he was staring at it like death in the face..His hair mussled on his head..

"Is something wrong, does it taste bad?"

He didn't make a response..He held the fork in his hand. Close to himself..Almost like he was going to commit suicide right there. Right then.

"Cody?"

"Hm?"

He looked up surprised at Calamity who had a curious look on her face. She even tilted her head to the side gracefully. Like a proper young woman..

Cody didn't understand..

" Are your arms hurting you again?"

He sighed heavily..

"No.."

..Something else is..

"..I guess i'm not that hungry."

He pulled the fork away from himself and took another peice of egg and bit into it..

"..Don't mind me though..Please..Continue at your leisure.."

He certainly wasn't very happy about the trip..Happy at all for that matter..But it had to be done..

He forced a smile at Calamity.

"..I guess i'm not that hungry."

Browse furrowed upon her face,creating a wrinkle of confusion upon that pretty forehead. Looking down at her own food, and almost would push it away.

what was wrong?

He had been so excited.
In such a good mood.

And now...

Looked to the side, her tongue lined her lower lip as she thought. Paused for a moment, before returning back into her mouth.

"..Don't mind me though..Please..Continue at your leisure.."

A sigh.
Hardly heard.

Brushing strands from her face, tucking a few behind her ear before taking a little bite of her egg.

"Are you allergic?"

Yeah..He was allergic..

Allergic to himself..His life..Anything..

"No..I'm fine.."

He took another bite of the egg and continued eating...

"I'll tell you something right now though.."

He said between pecks at his egg.

"..You're not going to be very impressed with the gym..Or my home.."

He felt bad that she was involved..This girl who was clean, caring and able..She looked like she could have anything she wanted..But instead..She settled with taking in others who really didn't have a chance..

After a bit he began to finish his egg a little bit faster now..
