She nodded a little, not really knowing what he was talking about. "Well, you're welcome to come in if ya like. Just don't touch anything, and watch your step. Last person who came in without caution stepped on a screw and got tettenus." She went back inside and stepped expertly around the oil stains and random tools before getting to the kitchen. She turned the heat down to 120c and went back to her vintage amp. |

"Thanks for the warning..." He didn't really need it though. Rem was always conscious about his movements. Each one, however minute and trivial, was carefully planned and deliberate. He nodded in appreciation and carefully traversed the relatively untidy room and following her. "So, you live here alone?"

"Mmmhmm." she replied, picking up a screw driver off the floor and tried to take out the transistor. "My mother sent me here figuring it'd straighten me out. The freedom's gotten to my head, though." she chuckled a little, the square peice falling easily into her hands, wires dangling from the box. She glared at it. "Friggin' thing...put it in not a week ago, and its shittier than the busted one..." Delilah reached over, grabbing a plastic back near by and rooting through it. "What about you? You said something about a sister?" |

"Yeah well..." He was confused about all this talk of transistors and amps and the like. He just knew their purpose of the amp and how to play the guitar, and that was it. Usually the best way to get the girls. "We aren't really blood siblings...we were adopted by the same family...they were killed in a failed carjacking and seeing as she was still underage, she was taken to an orphanage again, and I was just left on my own." He sighed, plopping down on the floor. "I spent the majority of my time after that tracking her down...which brought me to the US...in this school. I kinda spent all of our inheritance searching for her...so until I get a job and then eventually my own place, I'm kinda mooching off of her." Rem chuckled a bit. "She's grown into a really independant young woman and finds my presence in her personal space a bit annoying..."

"I see..." she replied, only listening with half her mind. "There we go!" she installed the new transistor and hooked it up. "Now lets see if it works..." she took out her drill and put on the speaker, then the grill, and snagged the neck of her Fender strat. She searched her pockets before pulling a pick out of her chest pocket. She got to her feet, pulling the strap around her neck, and taking the plug and plugging it into the guitar first, then the amp, before flickign it on and adjusting the volume.
Delilah played a quick rift, picking and striking the strings as her fingers flew over the neck, before cutting the power. She was smiling. "Works beautifully!" she said in a singsong tone. Delilah turned back to Rem. "Want anything to drink?" |

She nodded and rested her guitar on the back of the loveseat before walking to the kitchen in her barefeet. She opened the fridge and brought out a jug of water as her other hand pulled two glasses from the cuboard over head. She poured herself and Rem a glass before walking back towards him and handing it to him. "No need for congratulations, fixing things is what I do." Delilah replied with a smile, her leaning against the back of the loveseat near her guitar. |

"And it appears you're very good at it~" He accepted the glass of water graciously and took a deep swig of it, running the length of his forearm across his lips when he was done. "Well, this certainly simplifies things....us living so close that is~"

Delilah lifted her left shoulder in a shrug dismissively at his compliment. "I'm decent." she admitted, going no further as she took a sip of her water. She raised an eyebrow at his comment about their close residences. The raven haired girl chuckled lightly as she set her glass down on the floor, rubbing the tattoo of a Red-Wing Black Bird on her pulse with her opposite thumb. It was a habit. "And you clearly have some ideas about our close quarters." Delilah commented lightly, flashing him a wry smile. "Penny for your thoughts?" |

"Penny...? Oh...right...that American expression. Well..." Rem glanced up at her with a slightly lecherous look, though there was a distinct underlying seriousness to it. "Well, for one it'll be a lot easier to see each other..."

Her other eyebrow joined the first, noting his lecherous look. She retuned with a sly smile. "Obviously~, but there's more on your mind than that." Delilah replied, brushing a few wayward strands of hair behind her ear. She'd always enjoyed the little games of cat and mouse guys liked to play. |

"Oh~?" He knew very much what she meant by 'earning' it. Rem had never been in a committed relationship before, but knew the basic rundown. "Get to know each other and gain each other's trust ka...?"
