As far as non-stupid girls go, unfortunately they get raped and killed as well. What if no one had been around to hear her scream? What if the guy had overcome her? She woulda been gone. Period. And it was in a quiet town too. The dude was a convicted criminal of raping and killing girls and hed come up from the city to where it was quieter.

And I myself have to walk across campus by myself late at night, sometimes past midnight because of the arts center. No place is really safe, its best to be prepared. Because it doesnt matter if Im stupid or not, being a girl makes me a target nonetheless.

Nothing to continue, I agree with you. If no one was around the girl might of been raped, but because she did what she was suppose to in that situation she was fine.

As for you, you better get a knife. Your cat thing might hurt, but if it comes to someone could probably still get you. What I'm trying to say is if it can't cut and tear into skin reasonable deep get a knife and don't go anywhere without it.

Well, I doubt you can take it everywhere, but you get the idea.

Well the point of having my safety cat is to jar them enough so I can get away. I'm not gonna stick around shoving a knife into him. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make him let go then run like hell. I'm a pretty decent runner when I want to be.

Taking a knife out of my pocket and opening it to stab him takes longer than walking with a sharp object wrapped around my knuckles so I can jab anyone that gets too close in a flash of movement. It's been shown that when girls are aggressive the moment a guy tries to abduct her, he pauses long enough in surprise for them to get away if theyre smart enough, because theyre not expecting it.


Edit: I'm not saying a knife wouldnt be fun...I kinda want one. But my saftey cat will do for now.

I still say a knife is better. You said you have to go into you pocket and open a knife, well you have to go into you pocket and put the cat on so it takes the same amount of time. You can also buy knife that you can flick open so when you're taking it out of your pocket you can open it.

That way I see it. Is it's more dangerous than safety cat and can be take out just a fast.

EDIT: Nevermind, I misread. I guess you got the time thing beat if you walk around with it on. I still say you should get a knife. You can get a good one for cheap too. Just something I advise you to get in the future.

No...the saftey cat is on my keychain so if Im walking outside where I dont feel safe and I carry my keys as it is, I just walk with my hand curled around it. Its already out. A knife wouldnt be.
