Alright.... just want to point out one thing here before I say anything.
A) I do not mind people critiquing my art, I really don't. But please, make sure it's alright with me first. Randomly popping in like this and saying that was extremely poorly timed. You pretty much picked the time of year where I'm going through a lot of work and shit, and emotional distress. But, you didn't know, I guess. Just some forewarning next time~
And I realized that Arim's body is quite awry, I drew that almost 5 months ago, you need to realize. I was never happy with how that picture came out, limbs awkward or too long. The toes were pointed on purpose, as well.
I was never happy with how Yahto come out, either. Came out in a bad way, and it's attempt at lifting the chin... trying to make him look aloof, yanno?.
Anyways, considering Delilah, those are sketches... and well... they weren't supposed to be posture-wise correct on the first shot. I'm aware my posture isn't as good as it could be, but I'm trying.
I actually sketch a lot more than you think I do... ^^; Don't assume otherwise... I literally have a drawer full of sketches and pictures, and two binders full. I am trying to improve the "thin, Kate Moss" figures though. ^^; Keep in mind, I've drawn them like that for so long, it's instinctual now.
Anyways, I'll take it as the criticism it is. Always room for improvement. :3;
But, however... on dolling. I'm afraid what you said was really uncalled for. You're simplifying it to the extreme, it's not "colouring it over", it's great clothing and hair practice for people who have trouble. I enjoy dolling a lot. In fact, a lot of the dolls I do are actually DRAWN by hand, scanned, turned into a doll, and then dolled over.
Because, really... I don't call this laziness.
I'm perfectly gratified with what I draw, and while my self-esteem about my drawings are small, I do love them. My style differs from yours, common fact. You don't have to like how I do my art, that's fine, but you don't have to go an say things like that. That's quite mean, even if it wasn't intended so.
We all have opinions. You're entitled to it, and so am I. I will continue to doll as I please because it is fun, I like it. I don't just do dolls, in fact most of my art is traditional versus dolling/pixel art.
However, thank you for the crits nonetheless. I will take it and try to improve.
And thanks, J. ^^" But I'm ok. :3 It's all been done~
