Cody sat, watching this girl as she seemingly inhaled and finished her final cup of coffee..Or in this case..Pure sugar..A minor sweatdrop would emerge from the side of his head. It seemed that she was..Enlightened..To have someone sitting with her. Cody wasn't too sure about this.

"Are you a sophomore too~?" She asked.

Cody grunted to himself, looking downwards, and then off to the side. Almost like he'd been defeated verbally. He didn't care much for his education, and thus preferred not to answer her question. He just simply ignored it, though chances are with her attitude, it would eventually come back up into conversation once more..But he'd just ignore it again..

He..Wasn't good in school..

"Nuuuuuoooo Thanks~"

"I had enough sugar for today~ <3."

Cody smiled, she was kinda cute like that. Perhaps it was the chime of her voice...Or something like that.

And then..

She stretched..

A..Very..Provoactive..Stretch..

Cody stared for a moment, before looking off to the side in embarrasment. A small part of crimson showing on his face. Was she trying to fluster him?

"I..Er..I'll just go..Grab something for me then.." He said, trying to edge out of his seat..But all he could think about was that stretch, ugh..Dirty mind! Cody shook his head to try and get it out. Standing up to go to the counter, Cody made one last offer..

"You..uh..Sure you don't want any dessert? Nothing? A cookie?"

..Does Star bucks even HAVE cookies?

"I..Er..I'll just go..Grab something for me then.." Emily continued stretching, apparently she had been sitting here a while.

"Okayyyyyyyyyy~" She said, moving herself to the left as she continued. Aye, that felt nice~

-- but yeah. Probably wouldn't still be any friendlier on Cody's eyes.


"You..uh..Sure you don't want any dessert? Nothing? A cookie?"

"Noooooooooooo thanks~" She said, moving to the right, now. "Bwaaaah~ I feel like going to the arcade today~"

Cody's face was beet red, forgetting all about the cookie now, as his eyes took in "Kari's" body as she stretched. It was a...A..

A magnificent display?

Kyle couldn't help staring..But he didn't want to stare or that would make him look rude at the same time. It was rather unnerving..He completely forgot about dessert. Just standing there, head moving back and forth, eyes moving from her body, to the counter..

Until she spoke up, that is.

"Noooooooooooo thanks~"

Cody stood there..What to do..Sit down?

Gah..Either Kyle, or Cody would be on the floor like this..Nose running red of blood.

But..Kyle did his best to keep himself together.

"Bwaaaah~ I feel like going to the arcade today~"

"Hm?"

Kyle took his eyes off her for a moment..

The arcade huh?

Kyle smirked, because normally, they had his most favourite video game of all time there..

FINAL FIGHT! (OOC: XD!)

Cody sat down, scratching his head.

"An arcade? That sounds fun!"

He waited for her reply..

Maybe "Kari" would like to go with "Kyle"..Get to know each other, through some fun rousing games.

She smirked. Oh, this would be fun indeed. Especially with what the girl had in mind. Kari quickly stood up, propped the chair so that she could put her foot on the seat. Her finger pointed to the blonde boy she only as "Kyle" and, like an anime, challenged him with a: "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A GAME OF PARA-PARA PARADISE~!"

Of course, that game probably wasn't really so popular here as it was in Japan around a few years back. Probably the only thing Emily/Kari could dance with a spark of confidence.

So, how about it, Mr. Jailbreak?

Would you like to go with a girl, to the arcade? It's your choice..Don't you think it'd be a good oppurtunity to win some points with the local people around here?

In his mind..Cody didn't know what to this..All the sudden, this girl was extending her finger..Or in this case..Her arm of kindness to him..Although..It hadn't been the first time. But strangely enough..I guess pity works in some mysterious ways..

Kyle watched with wide eyes as everyone began staring at the pair as she planted herself on the chair, facing him with that outstretched finger..Offering a..

"I CHALLENGE YOU TO A GAME OF PARA-PARA PARADISE~!"

..Challenge..

Kyle blinked..Once..Twice..Three times..Before finally closing his mouth and asking..

"Para..Para...What now?"

..Come on Cody..It shouldn't be that bad..

If that's the case..

You can always whip her at Final Fight later. Or even King Of Fighters..

Maybe even Garou?

Cody let his elbow hand inbehind the back of the chair, he began chuckling to himself..As he suddenly jerked his head upward.

"Hah! I accept your challenge!"

You fool. Have you even seen how Para-para is danced?

Kari smirked, taking the boy's hand and pulling him towards the exit. If he resisted, he'd find her strength at least equal to his own -- pretty amazing for someone her size. "Let's go~!"

It didn't take long before they arrived at the arcade, and quite a bit of people were paying attention to a person dancing on one certain machine; on the label: Para-Para Paradise.

Para Para is a japanese dance that mostly involves the use of the arms, and uses lesser movements of the feet.

She looked at Kyle and snickered, "You still up to this, Kyle?"

..What's a Para Para?

Something like..A fighting game?

No wait..

She said Para Para Paradise..Which means that it must be some sort of kiddy..Uh..Like one of those whack a mole thingies..Yeah! It must be something like a whack a mole thing! With whacking things called..Para Para's?

Yeah! I'm alright with that!

Kyle felt the girl's smooth hand drag him outside the Starbucks, and all the way down to the arcade. She had quite the grip for a little girl like her!

...All the way to the Arcade.

..The noises of booping and peeping from video games were loud as they entered, cheering and such from people as fighting matches in VR was going on. Air hockey and everything. Even a long line of FINAL FIGHT was available..

..But Cody couldn't go the that..

A tear was jerked in his mind as he was dragged right by it..

And onto..

A DANCING MACHINE?!

THIS IS PARA PARA PARADISE?!

..If this was an anime..

Cody would be sweating..Hardcore..

Cody was good at one thing, fighting.

..Not dancing..

"You still up to this, Kyle?"

But, he had accepted her challange, and with a confused, yet upset face..He brightened into a small smile..Though, kinda twisted.

Kyle nodded..

"..I've..Never played this before..But..I'll play." He said.

"..I've..Never played this before..But..I'll play." He told her. Kari gave what looked like an assuring smile before taking a clip from her bag and clipping her hair up, exposing her neck and shoulders completely.

"I haven't danced Para-Para for 5 years now." she told him, "I probably won't me too good, no?"

Running gleefully onto the crowded dance machine she pushed people aside in excitement -- well, she wouldn't do it if these people were decent enough to form a line. To her, they're just a crowd wanting to watch people either be extremely good at this, or be extremely bad at this.

It seems as if she and Kyle made it right on time. The last players already finished their 3 songs.

"Yosh~" she said, taking a quarter and jumping onto the stage. It was only for one person, so people doing a battle dance-off would have to do it one at a time.

"Shall I go first?" She'd ask Kyle as she popped the quarter in.

Cody stood there, watching the girl as she flashed him a smile before clipping her hair up..Showing off her shoulders and neck, before she looked at him..

"I haven't danced Para-Para for 5 years now."

"I probably won't be too good, no?"

Kyle chuckled at the girl..He knew he didn't have any chance..But at least she had some experience with the game..Cody didn't at all. Not one bit. He didn't even play one of those DDR games..Just watched from afar whenever he had free time on his hands. And even then..That was rare..

"..Well..At least you won't be as bad as I will be." He said to her, cracking his knuckles..He was nervous, and the contorted look on his face showed it.

He watched as the girl plowed her way through the crowd, she was obviously happy that this girl had someone to play with now obviously. Perhaps Cody would be the one to satisfy her craving..

..Or maker her look godly at this game..And it was more of the latter..

"Yosh~"

Kyle nodded in nervousness..

"Y-yeah..Go ahead.." He would be a bit shy..But that was Cody..He didn't have much experience with girls or dancing games..

..Seems he would gain some today.

"..Well..At least you won't be as bad as I will be."

"Everyone was bad at the things they do best, one point in their life or another." She told him before the music began to play. The first song Kari picked out was "Night of Fire". Of course, Kari didn't have to go behind a chubby old man when she danced during the intervals... and other such acts. She would dance on one place, and that was the center of the little round stage.

The sensors picked up her every move, and people gaped at how this girl interestingly finished half the song before making a mistake and breaking her combo.

Kari was obviously a fan of the Hinoi team, as the second song she had picked out for herself was "Play with the numbers". A lesser strenuous song, but a bit more leg movement.

She'll give her free song to Cody. He can probably chose to dance whatever song she already had done, since the other songs are pretty hardcore, even at easy.

It didn't take long for her to get done. "Chaa~ Your turn." She said, stepping out of the stage. "Gambatte!"

Cody watched as the female played her game, and played it quite well no less. As she seemed to be making almost every move, but that was just the warm-up, seeing as she was pulling stuff around combos and everything..

..Alright..

So the game involved hand and leg movements.

..Ok..

Try and memorize those movements..Maybe you actually won't make yourself look like a fool for any particular reason.

He watched as she finally stepped off making at all seem to easy, and stepping off the stage, passing a glance at him..

"Chaa~ Your turn."

Oh..Goody..

"Gambatte!"

Cody had a sweatdrop, as he nervously stepped up onto the dance machine. There were murmers amongst the crowd, as Cody stepped onto the machine..Some people back away, as the only thing they would be seeing was Metro City Precinct Jail planted on his back.

The song began as Cody awkwardly moved along with it, almost flailing about, until it was marked a failure, even on easy.

Cody stepped off, no emotion planted on his face, just a blank stare.

"..Yup."

He didn't care, and therefore he shrugged, he was saving up his tickets for a prize anyway.

There was a certain prize at the gift bar that he always had been keeping his eye on..

How did he do that?

Why, by playing Final Fight of course, and beating the snot out of people while doing so!

[Ranzou Yamamori]

Ranzou entered the arcade, ready to kill some zombies in "The House of the Dead". His black case wasn't strapped onto his back this time, but a black silk blanket wrapped around a long object took its place. As he went through the entrance, he saw a guy with blonde hair playing Para-Para Paradise. Well, that would be inaccurate. He was... attempting to play it.

Ranzou casually walked into the small crowd that gathered around him and pushed his way to the front. As he got closer, he saw more clearly the skill of the person playing. It looked a lot like a headless chicken trying to tapdance. Ranzou kept watching, and pretty soon Failure popped up. The guy got off and looked pretty emotionless. Ranzou looked back at the screen and saw "Easy" as the difficulty level. He just sighed.

"...Yup" the guy said.

Ranzou had to ask himself now, Why would this guy play the game if he sucks?... Well... None of my business. He looked over to his left and saw "The House of the Dead" next to "Final Fight". He casually walked on over to the game, reaching into his pocket for some coins.

"..Yup." Kari was watching him and honestly, had no complaints despite the fact that he DID do awfully. Chatter rose among the crowd and Kari shot a glare at them before taking Kyle by the hand again and headed for the indoor areas, where the usual fighting games and other such normal arcade paraphernalia awaited.

"Well, I've had my choice of games. Anything you want to try out next?" She said, mentioning nothing of what happened just earlier.

Cody sighed..he didn't have much else to say other than that, considering that Kari had just let out a small glare at the groub behind him, laughing and such at his poor playing ability..But hey..

..Them's the breaks.

Promptly, Kyle had figuratively just failed at a game he'd never played before, and thus the results were expected..

..But how was the group supposed to know that..

Even so..Kari had grabbed kyle by his hand..And lead him into his inner sanctum..Where all the other arcade games were, along with a ticket bar, where you could exchange the tickets you won for various prizes..

Cody then eyed one of his favourite machines..next to The House of the Dead.

"Well, I've had my choice of games. Anything you want to try out next?"

It was his turn.

Kyle then promptly took Kari's hand.."Here, this way.." he said aloud.

He led them to the Final Fight machine.

"..You ever play this before?"

"Here, this way.." He took her hand and led her to a fighting machine: "Final fight". Typical.

Kari wasn't ignorant of video games, especially with the fact that her adoptive brother was more or less a gamer. Kari played games but--

... she never really was good with fighting games. Kari had better chances with RPGs than games like this.

"..You ever play this before?"

"Not in a while." she said, "Willing to try~!" She shot him an optimistic grin. Well, Kari wasn't the type to give up on things that were seemingly hopeless.

Besides.

She was having fun.
