Chrynos looked up, his eyebrows raised at the scene. Well, this was particularly peculiar. Two men in office attires beating down a young skater boy. The 19-year-old stood there, watching. Another punch was thrown, blood and saliva spraying onto the asphalt ground where the boy's head jerked towards. Alright, now he could no longer take it. The man turned to face the alleyway, taking his first step inside. As if sensing his arrival, the thug closest to Chrynos turned on his heels to face the new arrival. A soft growl emerged from the bully's mouth, before raising his right index finger at Chrynos.
"Get out of here, punk, or I'll beat you down with this kid!"
Chrynos grinned. Cocky bullies. They were always entertaining. And this time, Chrynos was unable to help himself as his grin developed into a chuckle. His right hand came up, his palm resting upon his forehead as he leaned his head back slightly, the volume of his chuckle increasing. Obviously and unsurprisingly, the man got annoyed at Chrynos' reaction, taking a step forward, this time showing a left fist.
"Don't mock me, punk!"
Chrynos stopped laughing, lowering his hands and his head, his fringe then covering his red eyes. However, that did not stop it from being seen, as it seemed to illuminate an eerie glow under the shadow of his bangs.
"You mock yourself... Punk." "You were warned!"
The man lost his temper and charged at Chrynos, right fist raised. Chrynos straightened his head, his crimson eyes locking with the man as he analysed his attack. It was too two-dimensional. A straight jab, most likely to the face. Unfortunately, it was not going to find its target. Chrynos' gloved right hand snapped forward, the man's punch hitting his right palm. There was a soft smacking sound and the man was surprised at Chrynos' strength. Even under such a heavy impact, Chrynos' right arm barely shook. Then, without warning, Chrynos shot a counter. Stepping forward with his left foot, his left hand came up, grabbing the man's collar above his chest.
Lifting him off the foot, he swung him towards the wall in one swift motion. Under Chrynos' superior strength, the man was smashed into the wall, a crater forming where he landed. And not a second later, Chrynos' right hand would send his very own jab at the man's face, the metal studs on the knuckles of his gloves piercing into the man's cheek and drawing blood. As if that was not enough, the power of the punch dislodged a couple of his teeth and also caused his head to be dug deeper into the wall. So deep that when Chrynos let go of his collar, he stayed where he was, leaning against the crater. Chrynos moved so fast the man barely had enough to time yelp in surprise or yell in pain. He was already unconcious.
Chrynos turned to the other man, who had watched in horror as his friend was destroyed by the New Yorkian. A soft yelp escaped his lips as he turned on his heels and ran with his tail tucked in between his legs. Chrynos grinned, walking to the skater boy. Helping him up, Chrynos instructed him to proceed to the nearest clinic to get himself checked up on. As soon as the boy gave his thanks, he ran off, leaving Chrynos to hunt on his escaping prey. His right foot slid backwards and less than a second later, he had broken into a hard sprint.
Before the man even reached the other end of the alleyway, Chrynos was already on him, the 19-year-old leaping into the air and landing on his back. With his weight, his running momentum and the man's own momentum being applied on him, he lost his balance and soared forward, finally exiting on the alleyway, though not in the way he wanted to. He landed hard on the concrete walkway, Chrynos crouching on top of him. Cracks on the ground surrounded his body, the man utterly injured and broken.
Just at that moment, a blonde was walking past and the man reached his right hand weakly towards him. A soft mutter escaped his lips, but if anyone was smart enough to read his bloodied lips, he would be saying two words that would call the blonde into action.
"Help... Me..."

He wasn't eating..Nor was he just sitting around doing nothing either. Starting his day with a simple breakfast at home..Making himself one of those beloved bagels..In a gym of all places..Well that was what his current piece of residence was. Not exactly the home of homes..But it had something.
After a bit of exercise, Cody stepped off, sitting on his couch for a while. Breathing lightly, that would get him started for the day..Time to roam the streets normally, like he always did..
Weren't heroes supposed to patrol? Since the police didn't even do it anyway?
Immediately, he grabbed his airman jacket from his coathanger, opening the door to his office, slamming the door behind him and locking it.
CODY TRAVERS MANAGER
Yeah he was a bit young..But that's what you get when you own a gym.
..A few attempted thefts here, a few pricks there..And Cody already had his hands full in the city. It hadn't even been past 11 o'clock yet! Those handcuffs dangled from his Airman coat pocket. He decided not to wear them all the time now.
Was he changed..?
No.
Walking away from a lot of battered bodies answered that question..Once a hero..Always a hero.. Or perhaps it was just the thirst of a fight..Point being..He'd step out of his way..
Walking near an alley, Cody peered down. An interesting bit of what seemed like garbage strewn everywhere. A bit of a tussle perhaps?
Eyeing a man, down on the ground..Bloody..Beaten..Something wasn't right..
And indeed..Something was not right.
For before Cody's eyes was another, much bigger guy. On top of another grown man..Cody narrowed his eyes down, as a small skater boy was also on the ground..Bloody, beaten..And otherwise..
"Help... Me..."
Cody's eye twitched at the young man. He needed help..It was obvious to him now, this guy was some sort of psychopath! His eyes strewn anger. Calling out to the older male for his attention..
"Hey! You!"
Cody stepped towards the older male. Taking out his handcuffs promptly, snapping one side on his right wrist..This was how Cody fought..It was like a double edged weapon..It had it's plus and minus.
Regardless, that wasn't the issue..Still stepping closer, Cody grappled the empty loophole of his handcuffs, snapping the chain by pulling back, making a loud crack as if to taunt.
"You've got issues against beating innocent people?.." He growled.
Lunging forward in a bit of a sprint towards the older male..No time for questions!
"Kick-Back!" Cody leapt into the air forwards, flipping forwards, making a dropkick towards the older male.
Opening move.
Game, set and possibly deathmatch?
Provided the guy didn't pull anything off on Cody.

"Hey! You!"
What now?
Chrynos raised his head, his crimson eyes finding themselves locked with the blonde the man had been reaching for earlier. He had stopped now, the pain and fatigue getting to him as he finally fell unconcious, his hand dropping to the ground. The 19-year-old watched the blonde without much interest, knowing that he was done here and there was nothing else that needed doing. Until now. Chrynos watched as he handcuffed his right wrist, the action replied by a raised eyebrow.
"You've got issues against beating innocent people?.." "Innocent peo-"
Before Chrynos could finish his statement, the blonde charged him, breaking into a fast spring towards the crimson-eyed male. His eyebrows furrowed. Great. Another one. And it seemed that he was determined to beat Chrynos down. The man knew it was all a misunderstanding, but he doubted that the attacker would believe him no matter what he said. He would have to bring him down too, unfortunately. Should not be too much of a problem.
"Kick-Back!"
My pleasure.
Chrynos thought in his head as the man took to the air, flipping forward and sending a drop kick at him. Chrynos grinned. As flashy as the moves was, there were plenty of disadvantages to it. For one, he was in the air. That meant that unless Chrynos touched him, he had no leverage and was as such unable to stop or change direction. Two, as he front flipped, there would be a moment where his back would be facing Chrynos and thus be unable to see him. And Chrynos was going to make use of just these two disadvantages to counter.
Stepping back and away from the man's attack range, he twisted his left heel to his left, reeling his right knee back to his chest. As soon as Travers would come upon the ground, Chrynos' right foot would snap outwards, hitting him hard in the chest. Unless Travers was some kind of professional gymnastic who could suddenly change the direction and momentum of his being in a split second, the chances of him dodging the counter was close to nothing.
And that was how Chrynos fought. Using attacks that had the highest chances of hitting and leaving very little openings for the opponent. Add that to his footwork, flexibility and agility, he was a well-rounded and efficient fighter. The blonde chose the wrong man to fight that day.

Indeed, things went pretty fast for Cody, that flip kick was sudden, as well as could have been destructive..However, Cody wasn't one to leave much behind in his tracks..And he always had a backup plan for everything..
Not giving the older male time to speak, Cody had immediately jumped into action, throwing himself at the enemy. That rolling front kick wasn't obviously the best choice of moves considering he'd missed..But that wasn't all..
..No..
Like I said.
Cody ALWAYS had a backup plan.
Though Cody missed, within a split second he realized something else..That this guy was also cunning, not to mention fast..But that's what the heavy gear was for, right? Fast, not only in dodging..But kicks as well..
..Very fast kicks.
Unfortuneatly, Cody was not an expert in pro gymnastics. But who needs to be able to bend in different ways like that? His eyes narrowed as a kick at his chest came right at him. Sinking into his chest, Cody took the full brunt of the force..
"Oof!"
Cody said with a bit of a cough. And though his head drooped low, Cody looked up..To be smiling. A split second had all it had taken to get Cody to loop his handcuff chain around the older man's leg. Immobilizing his ankle..
..But damn that hurt.
Next, Cody would duck down, as to prevent any other forcive movement, as a kick to the head would be useless now. It would send his attacker straight to the ground. Allowing Cody to pummel him..
But he knew he was smarter than that..
Cody used his free leg to attempt a sweep move on the attacker, provided he didn't pull anything inbetween.

And like Cody, Chrynos too had a plan. Pretty much, he could tell that the chain was not for show. For if it was, his opponent would not have made it in such a way that it would actually hinder his movement, no. He was going to use it as a weapon, and the man's counter only confirmed it. Of course, he had anticipated such a reaction from the blond and already had a counter in his mind. As soon as the boy started to duck down, he knew that spinning so as to send a kick to his head was not going to work, so he tried something else. Something more deadly. Jumping up with his left foot, he turned himself slightly on his right foot as he swung his left foot in the air, past him and above Cody.
As the blond would pull him down, then, Chrynos would apply a slight force on his left leg as he smashed it downwards upon the younger boy's right shoulder. True, Chrynos might fall on the ground on his bottom or back for that, but his opponent was going to suffer a whole lot of pain and may even have dislocated his right shoulder. If not, then the chances of him ever being able to use it immediately was pretty low too. After all, the nerve point at the top of the shoulder pretty much controlled his arm. Either way, the man's mistake of having used the chain on him would only bring him more loss than gain.
Truly, Chrynos was one deadly fighter, and he was an experienced one, at that. He had fought with the best of the best in 552 -- scratch that, New York and he had defeated most of them. Calling him just a fighter would be an understatement.

Though, this man was a more experienced fighter, that's for sure. Cody knew he would have a lot more complications than just the normal fight. A normal fight and Cody's opponent would be down after the first move..Perhaps the Crescent kick was a bad idea to open with..But at least he still had his handcuffs in hand. They were his only salvation, like a weapon that couldn't be peeled away from his fighter.
The sudden jump, dodging Cody's sweep move would be an interesting matchup, considering now that Cody had far more grounding than this fellow did. And as any physics person knows, the closer you are to the ground, the easier it is to move..Not to mention Cody still had this man's leg in his handcuff chain.
He felt a strong impact come against his right shoulder, though Cody had used his ground advantage to move a few inches away, it wasn't fast enough, seeing as he was still damaged. Luckily, his handcuff was on the left hand side..
Cody smiled once more..
..Finally a challenge..
Maybe he might actually lose this one.
However, he wouldn't give up that easily, the moment that the older male had landed on his shoulder Cody took it upon himself to force his body in a jolt upward, and since they were in an alleyway..
..Walls are much closer than they seem..
If the older male didn't pull off something soon, he was going to have to deal with Cody's entire body weight, since he would still be in the air. Dragging that chain caught leg bringing his whole body into the wall..
However, it left his ribs open in the attack on the side.

WHAM!
Chrynos was thrown against the wall. However, the 6 foot tall man would greatly surprise Travers by smiling too. Being throw against the wall was nothing. Reaching forward with both hands, he suddenly smashed them backwards and into the wall, grabbing the bricks and foundation hard as he suddenly pulled back with his captured leg, pulling Travers to him as his other foot snapped outwards, intending to catch the male's face with a hard kick. True, he may have just struck the ribs, but a kick to the face, and a pulled face at that, was more lethal than a strike to the chest.
As if that was not enough, Chrynos would stretch his snapping forward further in, his ankle hooking the back of Traver's head and bringing him in as he dragged him face-first into the wall. That would be when he would strike at the chest with his captured leg, the attack only amplified by the chain as he let it be the part of his leg that hit Travers.
Talk about a double-edged sword, huh?

*Crack*
*WHAM*
Cody didn't know what to think, as he saw this guy apparently pull off a Spiderman. Grabbing onto the wall, nearly sticking to it, and pulling Cody into the kick, he connected, with his face being the target. Cody nearly reeled to the target, for a counter attack, but apparently that failed too..
..Seeing as now he was the victim of his own strike.
Cody went face first into the wall..His vision became blurry red as he couldn't see much more..The chain however, had become loose. As Cody stepped backwards a bit he staggered away from the older male.
Keeping his fists up, that chain dangling..
His vision now impared he hopped backwards.
He kept his guard up, as he looked forward to the next attack, be it a kick or a punch or whatever. He held his guard up. Wiping the blood from his eye and his mouth now. He didn't know what to think. His breath panting heavily. He was already badly hurt.
Couldn't even see a damn thing in front of him.
Cody laughed a bit.
"..You're the first challenge..I've had in a while..Kid.."
In between breaths..
Spitting a bit of blood to the side.
"..I..Might even lose..This one.."
Smiling..

"..You're the first challenge..I've had in a while..Kid.."
Kid? Chrynos pulled his fingers out from the wall, twisting as he landed on his two feet. Kid? The black-haired fighter was 19-years-old, close to 20, and he was being called a kid by this boy? Now, that was really offensive. His head dropped for a moment, his fringe covering his crimson hues. He stood there, silent and still. Then, his lips suddenly tugged into a wide smile as his right hand came up to his chest, his fingers outstretched and wide apart, before coming to a clench. His hair shifted slightly, the mere clenching of his fist sending a soft shock wave from his right hand. Yeah, he was that pissed.
"..I..Might even lose..This one.."
"Is that so? That's a pity. I haven't even started using my hands yet. Well, I might as well start now."
The Flash Gloves. A pair of gloves with immense abilities that allowed Chrynos to inflict major amount of damage on his opponents. And certainly, this boy was done for. Then, his right foot slid backwards, coming to his toes as his left knee bent slightly, storing potential energy in both legs. Then, with one large push, he turned all those potential energy into kinetic energy as he shot forward at Travers. And his speed was ridiculous too.
He reached Travers in almost no time at all and just as he did, his right hand would snap forward from his right shoulder, catching Travers on his chest. Unless Travers was wearing some sort of thick clothing, he would find the spiked studs of Chrynos' gloves entering his flesh and drawing blood. As if that was not enough, the power of the punch was so strong, it would probably send Travers soaring into the wall, creating another crater.
Chrynos made the world-famous boxer Muhammad Ali really seem like a butterfly. Nothing more than that. Just a tiny butterfly.

"Is that so? That's a pity. I haven't even started using my hands yet. Well, I might as well start now."
Cody bore a side of his teeth on the right side of his face, true he could barely see..
"You've got quite a mouth, punk!"
He wiped more blood from the side of his mouth, onto his hand. He didn't know what to do with it..But in this case, it really didn't matter..Not one bit. Cody was losing, and he didn't have any means of defending himself.
What a pathetic excuse.
Hell, every Hero loses once..Or twice..
Or however the hell much you get knocked down.
This wasn't some Saturday morning cartoon, and nor was it about to turn into one. As Cody still couldn't see right. It was only fair. He knew he couldn't win.
The way he was impared right now, was an example of the facts.
..Without even noticing it, in a blur his opponent had rushed at him with blinding speed. And without a chance to react, he felt a sudden powerful force thud against his jacket..Then his white undershirt..Then his chest..As it cracked and busted Cody into the air!
Cody flew high, his limbs wide as he yelled in pain in mid air..
"Gyaaaaaaaaaargh!!"
*CRACK*
Falling backwards, after flying a good 20 feet away from his opponent, he landed on his back, his own body flipping backwards.
*Crackthud*
..As he landed chest first into the pavement..
Cody riled in pain, he had no idea what had just hit him. Some sort of strong force, more powerful than Cody's own moves..
..Those damn gloves.
Cody coughed more blood, as he didn't know what had just happened..As he struggled to get to his feet..
"P-punk..You obviously have..N-no remorse.."
*Coughspleargh*
He fell to one knee..Slowly his body edged to get back up.. As blood covered the pavement.
He shakily held his fists up.
"..You're..G-going..Down..F-for..Hi-tting innocents.."
Barely seeing..Only a blur..
"..C-come.."
He was willing to fight more..Go down trying at least..

And the blonde soared backwards upon contact, getting thrown off his feet as he landed on the ground about a good 20 feet away, a clear demonstration of Chrynos' impressive punching power. The 19-year-old pulled his fist back, standing casually this time round as he kept his eyes on Travers. He tilted his head in surprise, however, when he saw him struggling to get up. He could still stand? Interesting.
Brushing small pieces of brick and cement off his jacket, he started pacing towards the struggling boy. No remorse? That was the world. Life had no mercy on anyone who fell on their knees. Life had no mercy to anyone who failed to keep on walking. And Chrynos was not going to be another one of life's victims.
"..You're..G-going..Down..F-for..Hi-tting innocents.."
Innocents? Chrynos stopped in his tracks. Innocents? Chrynos had attacked innocents? Ah, clearly, Travers had misunderstood the situation. He let out a soft sigh. Well, it was useless now, but he might as well clear his name before he knocked the blonde out too.
"I did not hit any innocent. See the skater boy? These two men were beating him up as they demanded money from the boy. If I had not come earlier, he'd be in a worse condition than he is in now."
Without another word, he flickered forward once more, clearing the distance between the two. Though, this time, he did not fatally strike Travers, no. Stopping just right in front of him, he gave the man a hard poke with both his right index finger and middle finger on the center of his forehead, pushing him backwards as he continued.
"Next time, kid. Know the full story before acting."
