It was a Friday. Raining. Chopin's 2nd Piano Conerto was reverbing around the halls near the music room as Layla Clavering had helped herself to the piano. She was cosplaying today, as usual... wearing the clothes of Meredy from Tales of Eternia. It was particularly elaborate, true to the artists designs instead of the anime. The hair was on the right shade of lavander, the only thing that was off was the skin colour, as Layla refused to tan herself. Well, of course ... there were no further classes now, what would you expect at 4:30 in the afternoon? Mental preparation for the thing she will have to do in a few days time. That rescue Mr. Malice was planning to do... She only hoped it could go well, and being human... Layla couldn't help but worry. Such small a force with great a task. Layla knew she wouldn't be of much help; most she could do is stand at the sides, keep things in record and give attention to anyone who was badly injured as to avoid any unwanted casualties. She continued to play. Relaxing... Thinking.

Quite an interesting school that it had gotten itself into, wasn't it? Yes... This 259 had a certain charm to it. A certain violent, bloody charm. Yet hidden underneath was something different, it seemed. Something... almost... homey, it guessed. It just wasn't a feeling that it... felt very often. After all, It had been all across the country, attempting to find someplace where it could enjoy itself. This city, this job... It seemed to be the place it was looking for.
For the moment, at least.
After most of the students had left, it began to make its way to the music room to retrieve its belongings and head for home. As it walked through the hallways, however, its ears were graced by the sound of a piano playing what sounded like one of Choplin's piano concertos. The piano, in its opinion, was a bit of an overrated instrument. None the less, as long as the song played wasn't Chopsticks or Ode to Joy (which it seemed EVERYONE seemed to learn during that first year of piano that most children seemed to be forced by their parents to take), it could be quite a lovely instrument. And indeed, the song played was quite a lovely piece, so the one-eyed giant had no room to complain about this matter.
It slowly opened the door, peering in, to find what seemed to be... a woman with lavender hair? Odd choice. Upon closer inspection, she seemed to be wearing an interesting outfit, also. Interesting... It slowly walked into the room, making sure as to not disturb the musician at work. A light, serene smile on its face, it situated itself comfortably in one of the nearby chairs, its single eye closing as it continued to listen.
Relaxing...
Thinking.

High School.
Layla wasn't exactly the most talkative of the lot of people back in her day. It would certainly be Shinichi's fault why she, of all people, ended up so extroverted; to even be confident enough to run around Long beach in a cosplay outfit so casually.
Shinichi Aoyama... it seems only yesterday-- when in truth, around two years had gone by without him.
The lavander-haired woman stopped playing in a strong clash of notes before her head dropped. She didn't notice at all the teacher sitting right behind her, too busy with her thoughts.
She was quiet, and it didn't really help...
... or did it?
"Tomorrow." She began, "It starts tomorrow, Shin-kun."

The music was certainly beautiful, K had noted as it continued. Yet, something about the way that the woman was playing it was a bit... well... K supposed there wasn't really any one word to describe it. It was as if the woman was simply trying to play the song to smooth out her thoughts... Perhaps K was simply misinterpreting it, though.
K opened an eye, a little disappointed as the lavender-haired woman's music seemed to stop abruptly. What had happened...? Had the woman heard K come in, and stopped, not wanting anyone to hear her playing? Or... perhaps... another reason...?
~"Tomorrow. It starts tomorrow, Shin-kun."~
...Tomorrow...?
...What began tomorrow? Was there any sort of special event tommorow? A school festival or... No. Most likely not, from the tone in her voice. K's brow furrowed a bit as she looked up at the lavender-haired woman again. Such a strange creature... Such colorful clothes, yet, there was a certain sadness to her. Should it say something...? It did not want to scare the dear away, but the poor thing seemed a little lonely. In the end, K took a breath and spoke in a quiet, gentle voice, not wanting to scare the little bird away.
"That was lovely, miss. Why did you stop?"

"That was lovely, miss. Why did you stop?"
Violet eyes met with Light blue as Layla lifted her head to meet with this... eyepatched... what? The shape of her face dictated her to be of the female gender, but the muscles said otherwise.
Layla smiled. "I forgot the rest of the piece." She said, chuckling as she closed the piano and used it's cover as support as she stood on her two weak legs. She looked at the woman and to the looks of it, she wasn't a student-- Well, Layla kind of looked like one, considering her short stature, her eccentric personality, the young looking face and the floating Keele doll right beside her. "I suppose you were the new Music teacher I have been hearing about? I apologize if I have been suddenly using this piano without permission."
The woman bowed her head slightly.
Respect, where it was due.
Layla was 2 years older, but this would be her... his... turf, if ever her thoughts were correct.
