"Likewise"

Cody laughed. He couldn't think of much else to say, considering that they had just tied of all things..Perhaps it was his outfit that slowed him down? Maybe it was the wind, or perhaps it was just Cody's perception of his own breathing ability..

And yet..

Maybe it was just because she was good at running..

Cody bet it was the last one.

He watched as her form drank back a couple of sips of water, before she tossed it at Cody, Cody caught the bottle, unscrewing the cap off before taking in some of the water..The taste of the water was..Different..

He gulped down the water, screwing the cap back on as he held it in hand, walking towards her..

"...You ever consider going to the Olympics for your running?" He asked with a light tone, offering a smile towards her way, before taking his brown airman jacket off revealing his white t-shirt. He tossed his jacket to the side of the bench. "..You seems like you train daily."

Before taking a seat on the bench..

"..Anything else you enjoy doing for fun?" He asked with a smile. Looking at those Scarlet's red eyes of hers holding half a bottle of water out to her.

She watched him catch the bottle and gulp down some water. Then the word 'Olympic'. Of course it did. She wanted it, but she felt it wasn't what she really wanted in life. She sighed. "I don't want to go through that trouble again," she muttered. She smirked. She took the bottle from Cody's hand and took another several sips. She wondered if she should tell him about her past, well at least some of it. She nodded her head. Why not? He seemed trusthworthy.

She sat down next to him, and took in a breath. "I trained at Olympic levels for horse back riding. I won several goddamn awards that I've lost track of how many. I started percussion and won more awards there, but I really never felt content with it. Then I started training in martial arts, and I got where I am today," she looked at him and smiled. "What about you? What do you do for fun?" she asked. She smiled, and gently pushed against him.

Cody sat, watching Scarlet sigh..Did he hit a nerve on her? His smile wavered a bit towards her, as he was rather worried if he made her upset somehow..That would have been bad for him. Not to mention, make him feel terrible that he brought something up..

"I don't want to go through that trouble again,"

"Hm?" Cody looked up at her with a curious face, sounded like something he would say if someone asked him about his father-son incident. Perhaps he actually did hit a nerve, he watched as Scarlet took back a couple of swigs of water.

Even more confusing she seemed to nod towards Cody.

Scarlet sat down next to him, though it seemed she accepted him. He watched as she took in a breath and began her explination..

"I trained at Olympic levels for horse back riding. I won several goddamn awards that I've lost track of how many. I started percussion and won more awards there, but I really never felt content with it. Then I started training in martial arts, and I got where I am today,"

Cody listened intently to her story..Intersting..So she's an award winning person. The only awards Cody had ever won were martial arts tournaments, considering his belt. Blue. It was pretty easy. She then looked into Cody and smiled.

Cody smiled back, looking at those scarlet red eyes of hers..

"What about you? What do you do for fun?"

Was asked while she pushed against him..A bit of red revealed itself on Cody's face. He smiled afterwards giving out a bit of a chuckled response.

"What do I do for fun..?" He looked up into the sky for a moment, before looking down.

"Well..I like training, and since I own the gym downtown, I don't have to go very far for my training regimen!" He looked at her with a smile. "..I used to win awards at martial arts tournaments all the time back home! I made a lot of money as well!..But I don't really care too much about that..I won all the awards up to the tournament in New York, when--"

He cut himself off..That was the time that his dad went insane over Cody's loss..It was a shame, that even though it was one loss..He went totally psycho over it..He looked down, taking a breath.

"..When I lost." He continued with a smile, trying to keep it up.

He didn't know weather or not he should tell this girl about his dad or not. The feeling gave him a bit of an upset strike in his stomach..

"..But, oh well! You win some, you lose some..I'm a blue belt in karate." He finished still smiling at Scarlet.

He was silent for a moment..Before reaching down and pulling something out of his coat pocket, it was a small card. With a number on it.

"..You should come by some time...Or at least..Give me a call.." He offered the card out to her. "..You seem pretty steeled on your training..You'll have to show me!" He smiled, once again looking at her.

She breathed in deeply and watched him carefully. She told her story, and then he told a little bit of his. She knew that wasn't the entire story. She really wasn't fair to him if she looked inside his head to see what he was hidding from her. She hoped that he would tell her in good time. She looked at him, and smiled with reassurance. She wouldn't care if he lost. It didn't matter. She looked down.

It was a card. A business card. She took it and read over it quickly. She looked at him and smiled. "Sure. I could do that. I might show up within a couple of days. This will probably be a better place for me to train at," she muttered with a smile. She placed the card in her bag, and looked back at Cody. She smiled tenderly, and breathed in deeply. She took another sip of water, and offered it to Cody.

He knew this wasn't the time or place to be telling his story, after all they had just met. And even though Scarlet was trustworthy..Now just..Didn't seem right. He couldn't help it, as he wasn't used to telling his story one bit. And although Cody seemed like he was fine on the outside..Everyone has a dark past..

And everyone knows..

Not everyone is ok.

But that aside, he smiled when she took his card. It made him feel better, knowing he had a bit of a purpose to her now. And besides..It would be interesting to see someone of her caliber show off in front of him.

"Sure. I could do that. I might show up within a couple of days. This will probably be a better place for me to train at,"

"Well..I do offer some of the latest equipment as well...And for you.."

He took the water as Scarlet offered it, took back a couple of swigs, and set the bottle next to her. Before continuing.

"..You'll have a free membership!" He beamed a smile at her. "Think of it as being a..Special membership reserved for you. You won't have to pay a dime." He laughed. He was certainly very happy now..

He nudged her gently with his arm..

"Besides.." He smiled.

"..You owe me a rematch." He said a little quiet, but smiling anyway. Looking into those scarlet eyes of hers..His eyes showed a bit of competetiveness..But it was all friendly..After all..

It was incentive for her to see him again.

She smiled once again. It seemed interesting. She would like a new place to train. She liked the idea. "Oh you don't have to do that," she muttered with a laugh. She laughed a little more, and then smiled. "I could help teach there if you want," she muttered. She liked the idea of helping others train. It would be good for her. Help keep her mind of the negative and on the positive. She breathed in deeply, and looked at the card once again. It was cute little business card. It made her smile. She breathed in deeply. She looked at Cody, and smiled.

"Oh you don't have to do that," She replied.

Cody just smiled, holding out a small thumbs up to her, in acknowledgement to her. Offering that solid smile of his..She looked really happy when she was laughing..This made Cody happy..

"Oh no, I insist!" He laughed out a bit of his answer..She seemed really nice. Especially to the fact that Cody would let her join for free. He stared into her..That face..She looked cute when she laughed..Cody couldn't help but smile.

"I could help teach there if you want,"

Now, this was a surprise! Nobody had ever offered Cody to take up helping him train some of the people there that attended. But Even so, he accepted it with open arms.

"I'd..Love if you did that..We could use the extra help.." He said to her a bit quietly, but to her nonetheless. It was true on both sides, He did need the extra help, and more or less..He'd love having her around more often.

A sudden bell would ring out over the field and much to Cody's dismay..He had class, chances are Scarlet did too but he wouldn't know unless he asked.

"Oh..Damn..That's the first bell.." He said looking back towards the school. He then looked back at Scarlet.

"..You going to class?" He asked..Because, if she did..Well..Perhaps they'd be able to meet for lunch..And talk more..

She smiled happily. She would love to teach others a different style of martial arts than just Karate. Karate was a good art, but Tae Kwon Do in her opinion was a better self defense art. Jujitsu, well...that's anothe story. She wasn't allowed to teach that by her sensai. She nodded her head. "I'll come by maybe this afternoon if you want," she muttered. Her head spun in the direction of the school when she heard a piercing ring come through the air.

She blinked. It was the bell. She sighed. Where had the time gone? It seemed like it was only the start of class and now it was the end. She nodded her and shrugged. "Well, I don't have much of an option do I now?" she asked. She packed her waterbottle and towel, and pulled out her black tshirt. She pulled it over her head, and then threw her bag onto her shoulder. She started walking toward the school when she looked back at Cody. "Come on," she whispered.

"I'll come by maybe this afternoon if you want,"

Cody smiled, and sighed with some relief. He was hoping she would say that, not just because he was curious about what she would be teaching but it would give them that quality time together..Something like what happened today.

"Sounds good to me."

But even so, the classes called and Cody looked down for his bag and his jacket, he didn't really enjoy going to class some days, but today seemed different..Today was like a good day. He reached down and picked up his jacket..

"Well, I don't have much of an option do I now?"

He laughed, nobody really had much of an option when it came to classes. Cody was doing his best as it was. He proceeded with picking up his bag..Nodding his head in response.

"I suppose not..And I don't have much of an option either." He chuckled.

As Scarlet put on her t-shirt, Cody proceeded to put on his brown aviator jacket. He slung his bag over his shoulder.

"Come on," She said.

Cody nodded, As he fit the last strap of his bag through his arm.

"Coming.." he said, as he stepped a bit quickly to catch up to her.

As they made their way to the school doors, Cody moved a little bit ahead, he was going to be a bit of a gentleman..Opening the door for her, and holding out a hand offering her free passage. Flashing her a smile and nodding.

"..After you, Miss Scarlet." He said in a joking manner.

She started walking toward the school with him. When he opened the door, she shook her head and then smiled. "Thank you," she said with a laugh. She had been around guys all her life. She was use to them not really opening the doors and being the gentlemen they could be. Then again, she really didn't mind. It was kind of cute the appearance he was giving her. It made her smile. She realized that she had a class dealing with Biology. Of course it was advanced biology, god forbid she was smart enough to get into the class.

She started heading toward the class, when she spun around. "Where ya headed?" she asked. She really wanted to delay her arrival into her biology class. She wasn't particularly in the mood for listening on the reproduction on A sexual creatures. More notes and stress. She continued heading toward her classroom as she awaited a responce.

"Thank you,"

Cody gave a smile.

"No problem."

He replied with the utmost sincerity as he watched her form walk in, he let the door close behind him. He wasn't used to holding the doors open for other people..He usually just kicked the door open like the local badass he usually was and people took him for..

Heck..That's how he had his encounter with the school Varsity Captain.

Regardless, Cody wasn't looking forward to his next class, it wasn't as interesting as some of his other classes but at least he was able to do some other things..Like blow people up.

Cody was walking right behind her, when she suddenly spun around.

"Where ya headed?"

Cody smiled.

"Me? I'm headed to Chemistry." He said with a little bit of enthusiasm to pretend he enjoyed the class.

"It's right across the hall from the Biology room in the Science hallway." He stated, just for good measure, and perhaps some way that she could find him later..Perhaps after class?

Cody then sighed.

"..It's not that bad of a class..But I don't really enjoy it..The only thing I like doing in that class is some of the chemical experiments that we do."

He sped up a bit, walking next to her now..

"..What about you? Where are you going?" He asked her. He was curious about this young lady..It was like some sort of feeling compelled him to stick around close to her. And he didn't mind it..In fact..He liked the feeling!

She smiled, yet continued moving forward. She nodded her head. Chemistry. She liked that class. It was a good solid set class. She would take Chemistry over AP Biology any day. The reason was because of the experiments. They were a lot of fun for her. It gave her a thrill everytime. She sighed. "AP Biology," she rolled her eyes. She continued to wonder how the hell she got in that class. She reached the classroom, and smiled. "Well, here's my class," she muttered. She was kind of bummed out that she couldn't hang out longer with him, but thats the way seemed to go sometimes.

As they made their way down the hallway, Cody couldn't help but take his eyes off her. Yet it'd be between blinks that he'd look forwards to see if they were actually turning a corner or not. He really could care less about his class now..Seeing as he was more interested with his new friend here..

"AP Biology,"

Cody raised a brow, Wow, cute and smart too!..Cody couldn't help but smile and chuckle at the thought. Sounded like she was right across the hall from him! That was even better!..

"Wow..Biology..AP no less..You're just full of surprises aren't you?"

Cody looked down the hall..There was his room, looks like class had already started though by a few minutes..He didn't mind..More time to spend..

"Well, here's my class,"

They stopped at the door right across the hall from his class, he was a little upset that they had to part ways..

"Uh..Hey.."

He began, hoping that this wouldn't be the last time to see her..

"..Do you..Uh..Want to go for lunch, later today? After class I mean? Since my class is over here and all..I thought.."

A bold move, but he'd figure he'd try it anyway before they would seperate for the class..

She laughed. She still wondered how the hell she got in that class. She smiled, and shrugged. She blinked and pondered for a moment. "Why not," she said with a grin. She wanted to hang out with Cody. He was a cool kid, and was real nice to her. She wasn't the most social person but she could easily strike up a conversation. "Sure. I'll meet you after class for lunch," she said with a smile. She wasn't worried about being late to class. To be honest, she didn't care. She wanted to get in, though. Otherwise the notes would pile to the ceiling and she wouldn't be able to keep up.

"Why not,"

Cody smiled, his white teeth shining as she'd agreed with him..Alright, so lunch it is. With Scarlet no less. That seems pretty good to suffice!..

"Sure. I'll meet you after class for lunch,"

"Sounds good!" He said cheerfully..

..It's a date.. He said in his mind.

But still, the pair needed to get to class, Cody didn't want to leave right away though, seeing as he'd just got something he'd never think he'd obtain. And especially with such a cute girl too..A newcomer no less, but then again..Many strange things had been happening to him lately..

Perhaps it was just his lucky day..

He needed to get to class though, otherwise he was in for a scolding from one of the teachers. It would be rather..Awkward to hear the teacher yelling at him for being late..But that didn't matter, there was several different coverups he could use..

Cody slowly stepped backwards, almost backing into the door, and twisted the knob on the handle to the door.

"See you after class.."

He said before entering the room, many faces stared at him as they looked up to see who it was, even the teacher looked rather ticked. Cody sheepishly shrugged and smiled. He wasn't in the mood to toss a glare at the entire class.

Slowly, he moved over to his seat. Reaching the one point where he sat, as they continued talking about combinations between Magnesium and other chemicals..

But all he could think about was the chemistry that happened between him and Scarlet today..
