"No, not that I've seen. As I said. The school has been slow since the last major incident, and since the Earth Dragon was taken here. The biggest thing since... Was nothing more than a boring act of graffiti."
Ah, so they've been pretty inactive as of yet. Heh. That guy, always thinking... always so mysterious -- Emily dearly wanted to break into that mind of his and see how it worked.
She wondered how much he'd changed in a few months -- as well as everyone else she'd have met throughout her stay in Public High School #259.
Then again, like he said -- nothing much had happened. "Gum?" He offered, pulling out a pack of Juicy Fruit and placing it on the table before them. Aye...
Sugar.
No. Sugar would definitely not be good for her at this point. Emily shook her head, "Thanks, but no thanks."
"About all you've missed is class time and the rising of the sun every morning. You probably miss homework by now... This place sucks."
-__-;;
Yeah. Class time.
She'd probably will have to study extra hard when she gets out. "Aye, class." she said, sounding a bit disappointed. "I don't miss the homework... I'm just hoping I'll get to Junior year, regardless of my absence."

"Worried about moving on, huh? Well considering the school moved you in here, you'll likely be given a chance to prove your ability to move up. Request some study materials while you're locked up and get your subjects down. They'll have you test on something far easier than you expected, and you'll be free to move on to your next level of class. Or they might just let you go on. I highly doubt they'd frag you in the face that hard. They want you out of school as soon as possible if they put you in here..."
He picked up the gum and shoved it back in his pocket. She must not have liked his favorite flavor of gum. It beat spearmint or whatever by miles. Then he took a pager from his other pocket, concentrating for a small moment. There was some light vibration happening. Proximity to Crane was nearby, but it wasn't dangerous yet. He hated relying on salvaged tech like this. He really needed a job or something. Some actual tech to bring some spark to his life. Maybe if he had a computer he wouldn't be sneaking into correctional facilities... Nah...
"Musta been a hell of a fight you put up before they got you in this place though..."

The school moved her on here? Definitely not. Emily's smile dropped into a frown -- this guy had his information all mixed up. Might as well-- "I doubt that, because the school did NOT put me in here. I was kidnapped, along with those two "dragons" to be their experiments. I don't know why the warden needs human experiments for his purposes, but considering the nature of it -- might as well declare it done for the military." She sighed, "... Well, I think I'll just take an advancement exam. Get myself accelerated, something like that."
"Musta been a hell of a fight you put up before they got you in this place though..."
Emily chuckled and shook her head. "They rained us with tranquilizers, so we weren't able to put up much of a fight. I... was the first to fall though... I'm not exactly a very good fighter, actually."

"I guess not all of my facts were true. It happens. But, considering the rate of problematic people being sent to correctional facilities by schools... It wasn't an off-base assumption. Still a possibility since the identity of the perpetrators isn't clear. I figured 259 would have a higher rate of delinquency removals than other schools... Still." Just another reason. Now he really needed equipment. He needed a deck as soon as possible. This place would have to be exposed for what it really was. After all, this all was wrong. Physical development should be done through means brought about by one self, not done by others without consent. Human rights, after all. It was just a case of some people trying to control other people. That always pissed him off.
"I'm sure you're better of a fighter than you think. You're in 259. You don't get to keep a cute face like that without having the ability to keep yourself defended against others. And you said earlier... You had to fight fifty people in one go. Impressive. Even if drug-induced."
"You'd be surprised what you could do with some confidence. Humility can be as much a problem as overconfidence, you know?"

"The perpetrator of all this ruckus is the warden, Sean barker... I believe." She told him, "... oh well, no matter."
"I'm sure you're better of a fighter than you think. You're in 259. You don't get to keep a cute face like that without having the ability to keep yourself defended against others. And you said earlier... You had to fight fifty people in one go. Impressive. Even if drug-induced."
Emily blushed and looked away. Well, it was a compliment. "Thanks but--"
"You'd be surprised what you could do with some confidence. Humility can be as much a problem as overconfidence, you know?"
She chuckled. "I suppose, but I still have quite a way to go before I am able to be at the same level as a few people I know. "

"Well, if Sean Barker replaced Asiv, wouldn't that be putting the school in league with these attacks? So in a way, the school did put you in here... Just a bit late... No matter. Screw rationalization..." He put his hand to his forehead, sweeping back some of his blonde hair as he sighed. Even he sometimes didn't want to think.
"We can't all be Dragons. I'm content with being an insect. Sure, might seem like I have no chance, but if I play my cards right, even I can achieve absolute victory over a Dragon. Just think of the power a Wasp could wield if it were the same size as a Dragon... Never minding the impossibility of that situation. See, it's never all about sheer strength. Of course... It does help..." There he went again, thinking and talking in metaphors. Trying to be profound. It probably wasn't working.
"Or are you trying for a demonstration of some sort?"

Indeed. Emily stood up for a little stretch as he continued on. "We can't all be Dragons. I'm content with being an insect. Just think of the power a Wasp could wield if it were the same size as a Dragon... Never minding the impossibility of that situation. See, it's never all about sheer strength. Of course... A grin.
What he said was true, but-- "Also: a wasp, as small as it is could probably overpower a dragon -- probably, if it played against the dragon by the numbers--"
"Or are you trying for a demonstration of some sort?"
Emily's grin grew into a smirk and her hands fell onto the table as she leaned over and pulled her face dangerously closer to his own. "Is... that... a challenge~?"
Her voice was serious, but had a hint of... 'manipulativeness' -- some could call it seduction, but really... Emily didn't exactly have a clue on what she was probably doing -- well, maybe a little.

Deryk found the girl had suddenly sparked into a different mode. Combat spec activated, apparently. She just got a lot more interesting. A lot different. Just a snap. His grin widened a little and flashed his canines, the dagger like teeth adding a sinister edge to his face. "A challenge? It wasn't.... But it is now. Seems you're itching to let loose. I hope this isn't a side effect of those drugs. I'd much rather this be another part of your natural being. Much more fun than being normal..."
"Get up... This fight will prove to be very... Therapeutic... All part of the treatment, yeah?" Deryk found himself bouncing lightly as he slipped back to his fighting stance. Sure, fighting a girl was bad back in the day, but times were different. Just another thing he loved about change, it brought opportunity for a new experience. "C'mon! Show me your moves!"

Much more fun than being normal..." Emily merely chuckled. "This? Side-effect of drugs?" She laughed, "I jest~, this is me.""Get up... This fight will prove to be very... Therapeutic... All part of the treatment, yeah?""All part of the treatment." She repeated, rising to her toes and making small steps towards the other side of the otherwise empty room. She curtsied and took the stance, which in ballet meant: "Death". Her arms on an x across her chest; she wasn't stiff... but actually pretty graceful -- just like in ballet. "C'mon! Show me your moves!" He'd notice from here that the air around them became warm, almost as if air-conditioning didn't exist (when in actuality it was in full blast). "If you insist." She said, her crossed arms flailing open and went on to send an invisible, x-shaped blade towards Deryk's abdomninal area before 'chasing after it'. She would target a simple punch for his stomach with with her left hand before using her right for an uppercut to his chin. Gambatte. Yay for ballet. So basically I'm just experimenting with her fighting style on this thread, so I apologize if I suck. ;
Emily's stats for thread STR - 40 + 5 + 5 = 50 DEX - 30 + 5 + 10 = 45 CON - 30 INT - 30 WIS - 34 CHA - 35
Emily's Qi Pro:
* Emily can create wind blades and modify the immediate temperature of the environment with temperatures ranging from -20c to 120c and maintain it for a 10m radius. * It allows Emily to create small tornadoes that maintain the wanted temperature (Thus also can be lit up via gasoline), but it will cost -5 CHA * It can light up any flammable material on fire, provided that it costs -5 CHA. * Emily can integrate her Qi into her weapons, thus enabling attacks en masse onto her opponents. * If Emily's nails are long enough, she could create more blades with her fingers. However it would be weaker than the normal one. * Emily can create modified windblades that can return at her will for -5 CHA a piece. * Out of Battle use effects: Emily can freeze, boil and generate steam out of water or any other liquid almost instantaneously. The people around her feel quite warm. Could feel colder, if Emily so wishes.

He grinned as he watched her step into her stance. Oddly enough, he knew it right away, just not for what it was in her mind. It was a katar weapon stance. Katars were like brass knuckles, with swords instead of brass. They were one of his five favorite weapons. Max had taught him some weapon forms with the katar that he'd picked up in his time as a SEAL. And that stance was an attacker's stance, set to attack in a single instant. And that's exactly what she was going to do. And considering she was able to take on fifty at once, she had to be superior to him in all respects combat-wise.
So be it.
He bent over backwards as the wave of air rushed over him, sending a wave of heat over his body. Deryk could have sworn it had been colder when he got in the place. Never the less, he planted his arms on the ground as Emily's left hand sailed over his body. When he fixed himself to the ground, he pushed his body into a sidelong circle, his legs whipping around like a windmill. Yes, he was break-dance fighting. And those legs of his were bound for Emily's legs with the full force of Deryk's weight behind them.

'What? A miss?' She thought, mind running quickly to devise a means of saving face. This guy was expecting her to be good at this fighting stuff, when in realty -- she wasn't at all good at it. Her battle experience certainly was lagging behind the capabilities of her body -- then again, it was something that came with time.
There was no rush.
Deryk bend backwards and planted his hand onto the ground, starting a breakdance. Apparently, her punch didn't hit... so plan B -- Emily, instead of falling forward due to the force of her punch, bent her knees slightly, and swung her other leg other leg slightly forward while her head and shoulder pulled back to push her center of gravity towards her back. She would fall backward on a similar manner, basically avoiding being thrown off by that breakdance.
Ugh.
She did similar to what he did: her hands planted backward onto the ground and backflipped twice, sending two great, vertical blades of hot, searing wind towards the breakdancer's direction. Once her foot hit the ground, Emily would be facing him again in a runner's starting position, now taking the defensive.

He ended his spin cycle when she executed her back handspring, taking to his knees in a low defensive stance. He thought for a moment that the air had distorted before he felt heavy impact against his arm. But she was back several feet out of fighting range. And that's when he felt blood tickling down his arms. Bringing his right arm down, he saw the shallow cut in a perfect line against the blade of his arm.
"Qi... Pain... In... The... Ass..."
Deryk immediately figured it out. Blades made of Qi were capable of being released from her attacks. So far he only had confirmation of leg blades, but she also could probably do it with her arms. Like the master swordsmen from old Asian fighting movies. Interesting. He still hadn't associated the temperature rise with her though. It seemed completely unrelated at this point.
Deryk began setting up tactics against the style of combat he was seeing immediately. She was relying on high mobility and her ranged capability. Good combination, but if she got in too close, she'd probably get wrecked. So be it. He needed to utilize his Breaker variation of combat. But he didn't want to break any of the girl's bones. All he needed now, was for her to begin a move. He knew about her blades, and he knew her style. It was time to see if the mind really did conquer the body.

Emily looked down to the ground from her current position, white hair covering her face as she had a gut feeling on how this battle would turn out. A smile crept up her face and she chuckled, "I... have to ask you a favor." she looked up to him, smiling still... but her eyes were obviously not. They were of someone in pain, mourning and of great regret -- something that didn't really come so often for a girl with a personality like her own. "If I should so ever lose this..."She would swing her arms to the side, two windblades thirling it's way to the sides of the room. The girl would run towards the boy and aim for a sweep kick to his leg -- it probably would be too late for him to realize that it was a fake, aimed at making him jump. Regardless if he did or not, she would plant her left hand at the floor and whirl herself back, and would, yet again create another windblade for him at close range before getting her footing on the floor. She would be around one and a half to two feet away from him at this point. Regardless if Deryk had landed back on the floor or still in mid-air, Emily would lash an open palm towards his abdomen. -- and yet again, that would be another bluff, as she would continue. Her body would turn around, and give the man a uppercut kick for his jaw/head using her right foot. It would most likely send him flying up again... ... just to meet with the two invisible, whirling blades of wind on both his left and right. Yes, this was the first time Emily thought she figured she will have to use it: "the wind boomerang". Ah, if there is something wrong with my post or something, don't hesitate to let me know I'll have it fixed right away. Sorry for the delay in posting. @_@

"Ask away, no guarantees." He looked down at his bleeding arms. Sure, the cuts were shallow, and the blades had been sharp, but he was worried. The attack almost harmed his hands. There was no way he could allow his hands to take any damage. They did so much for him, especially outside of what most any guy did with his most dominant hand. He could go without that for weeks if need be, but to go without being able to type, draw, to create... He NEEDED that. And for that, he needed his hands to be in prefect condition no matter what.
When her arms swung to the sides, he could see the blades. Not in a physical sense, but in observing her muscles and motions, he could see his own version of them, imagined bright green as they flew at him in parallel paths. Her advance was all too swift as she followed them. He'd have to go down, or to a side to avoid her blades. The easiest option was down. His body went low to the ground, as he dipped below the blades in a forward rush, almost having to use his hands to keep his body from falling to the ground.
Her options were nothing more than kick attacks with him at that height, and it was glaringly obvious. As her leg swept out to bring him off his feet, his left arm caught her shin, his thumb pressing hard into one of the two ligaments that controlled knee motion. Using the pain and leverage of the position, he planted his body on his left hand, vaulting his legs around to land on her chest, his feet planted at the top of her ribcage, and one in her stomach.
Sadly, he wasn't done, his right hand balled up and lashed out in a downward arc as he landed, the back of his knuckles curving in between her ear and her eye, an impact-sensitive spot on the face. He wanted absolute victory over his opponent, knowing he had to first neutralize her power. That would be accomplished by keeping to close for her to use sweeping attacks. Then he had to keep her from using 100% of her strength by attacking her lungs, and attacking her senses. It was cruel, but it was Breaker style. Win before you could possibly lose.
((OOC: Seriously, you're doing fine. I've just been slow lately. All cool now.))
