God only knew how Josiah didn’t fit in, not even in L.A when there we’re millions of people to fit in with. No it wasn’t him and it wasn’t his life of his occupation that left him so detached and unique. She laughed at his word and if you binked you would have missed the smirk that came and disappeared over his lips in just a second.
The way she spoke about pain it was almost annoying, not something he wanted to hear first thing in the morning, hell why the hell was she opening up to him in the least bit any way, it seemed weird. She had to be fucking with him just digging for some kind of dirt to us on him or something, that was the only explaination for her to try and sound so open in hopes he might do the same.
“The suits huh…..I guess it’s a dying style…their comfortable…sleek looking…and they take a sense of style to wear…any jack ass can put on a designer tee and jeans after all” he took a sip of his coffee. ‘There are other reasons I guess…in the end its just something I feel into and just kept as part of myself”
“What about you and your piercings….doesn’t seem like a smart move for a girl who’s looking to hold her own in a fight” He mentioned “ It almost seems like your trying to clutter your face from peoples view…and I don’t know why you’d do something silly like that

“The suits huh…..I guess it’s a dying style…their comfortable…sleek looking…and they take a sense of style to wear…any jack ass can put on a designer tee and jeans after all”
Was he.. calling her a jackass. Her eyes narrowed slightly, but she hadn't missed the smirk of earlier. Which meant that even he was human, there was a part of him that could laugh given the right situation, or even smile maybe. But a smirk was a start, she had begun to lose hope in his humanity. She looked up at him, and decided he wasn't trying to actually piss her off merely giving an excuse, though she didn' think it was the real one. Something told her that he had never really been a jeans and a tshirt kind of guy, but why not.. what venue of life had given him suits.
“What about you and your piercings….doesn’t seem like a smart move for a girl who’s looking to hold her own in a fight”
He was in a way right, the piercings could get her in trouble especially the one in her lip, and she had thought about taking it out once or twice. But never had because she found that she was a bit attatched to it. Perhaps one day she would take it out, if the right guy or reason came along. Or if it was ripped out in a fight, either way, it would cme out eventually she assumed.
It almost seems like your trying to clutter your face from peoples view…and I don’t know why you’d do something silly like that
Siege laughed, She grinned.
"It isn't like it's much to look at really."
Though she had an inkling that he hid in his suits. She didn't use her face to hide. Piercin and a tattoo, one easily removed the other cost a bit of money but it was possible. Still though, she didn't care. She had made the choices long ago to get them and she didn't regret either one.
"So what do you do, to make all this money? You have to have a sweet gig to afford this kind of place." she said as she picked up her coffee cup and took a sip pushing her empty plate away.

She laughed even grinned and he had no idea why, was it the fact he had show interest in her face? Had she actually picked up on that so easily? No no he was getting ahead of himself. That was the problem with parinod people they looked to deeply at things, red between the lines when there was nothing to read or take a simple word as an act of war.
Pushing away her plate he looked to her as she continued to speak and Josiah could not help but reach for a pack once more in his pocket. Sliding one out of the soft pack sticking it right between his lips. He slid his plate back from him slightly and lit the damn murder stick His eyes looked to her.
“I should have guessed that was coming” he sighed letting put a puff of smoke as he did.
“Its not legal…I’ll tell you that much…. Though I am one of the lucky ones” he sighed “But that’s all for now…” and that would be the end of that for right now.
“If you want to…there and extra tooth brush in my medicine cabinet…while I clean up alittle”

“Its not legal…I’ll tell you that much…. Though I am one of the lucky ones”
She cocked her brow. Cryptic. She leaned back in her seat as she looked at him. He really didn't have that butler look she had a feeling that it was more dangerous than that, yet it could be anything really. She wasn't here to judge, she didn't have the best track record in the world. The food had been good really, nothing spectacular, but it was better than anything she had in a long time, her eyes darted to the now empty plate.
"By the way, the food was awesome."
“If you want to…there and extra tooth brush in my medicine cabinet…while I clean up alittle”
Siege's brow rose. And with it the right corner of her mouth into a slight little grin. She had a feeling that he was anal retentive about being neat and tidy. God help him if she ever moved in, because that would be a cnstant fight. She wasn't clean, at the most she hated it, she would leave whatever where ever and that was that. She didn't worry about it. She would clean when she felt like it, which wasn't likely to be often.
"Sure pops."
Rising, she gave him a wink and headed back up the stairs to the bedroom. Gathering her clothing from the bed room, and the boots she had worn the night before she carried it all in the bathroom and turned on the shower figuring she might as well get everything done at once and she really did need a shower. Getting the water nice and hot she rummaged around and found the toothpaste and tooth brush before stripping down and hopping into the shower. While letting the shampoo set in her hair, she brushed her teeth in the shower figuring that why waste water? right? Spitting, and rinsing out she washed her hair and the rest of her body before she hopped out and dried off her hair.
The best thing about having short hair like hers was that she could easily dry it with a towel and style it. Using HIS comb she worked the locks into the way she wanted them to dry and then began to get dressed. Putting on her clothing from last night, and lastly the boots. Folding up the vest and placing the tie in the center of it, she headed back down stairs.
The bathroom was a mess of course. Curtain open, walls dripping, the mat was askew. The toothpaste and the brush she had used were on a shelf IN the shower. The towel was tossed hastily towards the rack but missed all together causing it to fall in a wet heap on the floor. Siege headed back down the stairs.
"Thanks for the bathroom." she grinned. "So... I'm gonna take you up on that offer for a drive, I don't think I can walk ten miles in these boots."

‘Sure pops’ and annoying little gesture, one that said he was to old for his own good but it was not the first time he had heard it, though she was defiantly the first one his own age to call him that. But soon enough she went upstairs and Josiah himself began on the dishes, he liked having everything in his house neat and tidy, not that he was a freak but he did have a very particular set up one that made things easier for him. Shutting off the water after several minutes he took a dish towel and dried his hands, the cuffs of his shirt dry as a bone a testiament to the fact he was used to being in button down shirts more then anything in the world.
Soon she came back downstairs grinning and he had no idea why but atleast she was dressed now decently. She told him she would take him up on that ride he had offered and he had figured she would, after all there was no reason to refuse him.
“Didn’t think you refuse the offer in the end…and I’m not sure I would have let you walk home in this heat…your body is probably still dehydrated from last night after all” Josiah said, it was clear he let logic dictate many of his answers in life and used it as an excuse to cover up what some people would call a conscious.
“Let me go get cleaned up first….if you want there a T.V in the living room…I should be down in a few minutes” Josiah said, he needed to get cleaned up he still smelt the beach on his from last night and would not be able to live his day this way

Sans Chucky. His name thus forth was Pops. And that would stick, forever she figured, the more she got to know him the more like a father he seemed. She had never known her father, but she'd watched enough TV to see bits and pieces of a dad in there somewhere. Her brows rose and she chuckled softly with a shrug.
"Whatever floats your boat, Pops."
She moved and saw that his cuffs were wet, her eyes scanned to the kitchen, and saw that he had done the dishes while she was in the shower. She looked back up at him, he really was like a dad. Pops suited him perfectly and thus he waas now dubbed Pops.
“Let me go get cleaned up first….if you want there a T.V in the living room…I should be down in a few minutes”
TV!! She heard nothing past TV, and turned on her heal walking away to the living room letting him finish his sentence on his own. She headed to the couch and plopped down finding the remote in a handy organizer on the side table she pressed the power button as her legs moved up and slammed her booted feet on the coffee table. She began to flip through the channels til she found some morning cartoons.
Sponge Bob.
Classic.
Popping up for a sec she raided the fridge for a soda. Finding one she headed back sitting it on the table after taking a few gulps, WITHOUT A COASTER, she put her feet back up on the coffee table and made herself comfy watchin her cartoon.

She seemed to ignore him when he had mentioned T.V. he rolled his eyes slightly but couldn’t be bothered, if she wanted to watch she was more then welcome to it, he had no idea why he even had the blasted thing or why he paid for cable since he turned it on once in a blue moon when he was really just the bored to do anything else
He went to his room which attached to his master bathroom only to have his crimson eyes look on with disgust. Towel on the floor, shower current left open…mat moved…and the fucking tooth paste in the shower!
He took a deep breath and unbuttoned his shirt, its just a one time thing, that’s it. He would not have to worry after today and life would be its normal sterile self. He cleaned up just really getting everything back into place before he stripped and took a shower himself. The hot water waking him up fully now as he let it soak into his skin. .
When he was finished he dried off and got dressed. New slacks and a shirt and of course a new vest and black tie. He turned to the ones she had left out, the material that had touched her flesh…why did it even matter…why did he even notice that it was on her? He tossed them across the room and the fell into a hamper, he would take care of them later.
He grabbed his pocket watch from the dresser lie always and went downstairs to see her sloppily on his couch her feet on his coffee table in those dirty boots. He didn’t care about the costarless coke but the boots were another thing.
“You mind getting those dirty things off my table?” Josiah said..not so much a request as it was a command by the tone in which he spoke

Sponge Bob was fuckin awesome. She sipped her coke and watched the TV not really caring what was going on upstairs. It was his place and if he wanted to pop his load in the shower then that was fine, though she somehow doubted he did. He probably didn't have a sexual cell in his body. Such a shame too, as he was rather attractive when he forgot to be a brooding asshole, and had that little half grin on his face.
“You mind getting those dirty things off my table?”
Eh?
Her grey eyes scanned over to see Pops there, all dressed up as though he was going to go on a date. Or maybe kill someone. She had seen a few movies where guys would keep a meticulously clean house, and kill people in nice business suits, and then it was as if nothing ever happened to them at all. She wasn't sure if that was him or not but it couldn't be too far from the truth. A slow grn came across her face.
"Hey pops, lookin' sharp as always. Are we ready?"
She popped up off the couch and flicked off the tv. Tossing the remote to a cushion on the couch, she headed towards the door, coke, half full, lay on the table creating a ring as the condensation ran down the can, the cushion was all askew because of the way she had been sitting and there was sand on his coffee table.
"You know where, Garver Station is?" she asked as she headed to the door, naming only THE worst possible neighborhood for someone to live in. Gangs. Whores. Drugs. Theft. Rape. Murder, it all happened in Garver Station there wasn't a nght her area wasn't on the news.
"That's where I live."

He sighed lightly as she called him pops again, it’s a good thing this was a one time deal or else he was going to have to hurt her. A slow grin came across her face and he had no idea why, she was defiantly a weird one but he guess some people were just crazy there was really no other excuse then that that he could think of.
She popped off the couch an he gave a small frown, such a messy girl, he had though the fairer of the sexs was suppose to be the cleaner as well but apparently there were always a few kinks in the system that could not be helped. He would just have to clean up a bit whn he got home, he wasn’t about to let her see him sweat over the small stuff.
“Yeah I know were that is” Josiah said as she told him that was were she lived. It was really a shity place to live but it was proably the only thing she could afford.
Grabbing his keys he would step outside ignoring the mess for now knowing that she would follow him. Outside his car was waiting, a black BMW, the car really wasn’t his but he had a forged registration and he knew the owner was no longer alive to appreciate the vehicle anymore and so he had been kind enough to keep it for himself.
He would enter and wait for her to get in before taking off in the direction of Garver Station.

Good, she wasn't that great at giving directions. And she really didn't know how to get from here to there. Once there she could get him to he apartment complex. But for now if he could get them to that part of town she would be good. She followed him outside and down the outter steps to the sand and grass covered yard. Out behind the house in the driveway was a nice BMW in black. Siege could only let out a whistle as she saw this sitting there.
"Got some wheels dontcha, Pops."
She got in the car after he unlocked it with his snazzy beep beep jigger. Climbing in she buckled herself up and crossed one leg over the other. She leaned back in her seat for a moment. But as soon as the car started she grimmaced at the choice of music and immediatly began searching for something a bit better. The boy realy needed to get out more and find something to do. This life he was leading was on the side of pathetic.
Suddenly, some awesome alternative music blared through the speakers as she cranked up the speakers with a grin. Her head already bobbing to the beat of the music that was now blaring in his expensive car.
"Nice system." she called out over the music.
Her song was on, and that meant... CAR DANCE TIME!! She began to move, her body moving as well, her hands, arms, hips, anything she could move but her legs as she moved her lips to the words of the song. It was a great song. And this would help pass the time till they got to her place.
It wasn't long. Ten miles was covered in a relatively short time frame, before she saw the familiar run down beat up sign that said Garver Station.
"Left here." she said turning the music down finally since she actually had to give directions now.
In the back of the station, was her apartment complex. And when they pulled up you could tell it was about as run down as it got. As they came to a stop she smiled as she opened the door and slid one leg out. She turned to look at him.
"I'd hug you, but then I'd get sucker punched, and I like my face the way it is." she winked. "But thanks, and if you get lonely look me up sometime k?"
It was hard not to want to slap him on the shoulder, or touch his arm or something to help convey her message, but she shrugged and got out of the car. Looking up at the building that was clearly on it's last legs. Turning she smiled.
"Better get your fancy ass car out of here, it'll be stripped in five, if you don't." she shrugged, a mere tid bit of information. She gave him a three fingered wave as she headed into the dark entrance of her dilapidated building.
