At this point the groups seemed far too distant from one another, Delilah’s was headed a different direction from Gabriel’s and he had no notion as to where the others where. His instructions still held up, take out the surveillance room ASAP. There was too little time he heard voices shouting down the echoing hallways, their presence had already been detected.
“Damn” He throttled himself full seed leaving the group a short distance behind as he burst open the nearest door.
“Directive number two as of now, loot the place, fuck up their shit!” Gabriel shouted through the trashed door as he smashed computers, desks, portfolios and all sorts of equipment.
After breaking up the one room he moved onto the next taking little notion as to his objective other than causing all sorts of havoc. If he remembered correctly he still had one of “Unfettered’s” Molotovs. That forced a grin, now it was time to really wreck havoc. He thrust his way into another room finding an empty briefcase which he used to stuff some looted equipment in. The lights began to dim, not the best sign but it gave him a bit of motivation to continue moving on.
Black out, the lights died and Gabriel froze up in the middle of the empty hallway, he heard the shouts from throughout the halls. In an instant he was back in France chained twenty feet underground being beaten half to death. The chains were sturdy and were bound to hold up for some time. He glinted his teeth savagely, the look in Gabriel’s eyes not his own. Reven was in command now as her hurtled curses towards his captures.
“I kill you All of you!!!” The raspy voice thrilled by the thought of blood as his wrists and neck grew scarred by the iron clad chains draped around his features.
A deep breath and he was back, Gabriel leaned over into the room he’d just pillaged and purged the thoughts away in a maddened heave, vomiting all over. A moment of dizziness and he was back on his feet hurtling into the next room.
Crash
The door came down with an easy thrust, and Gabriel toppled his way inside. He swung a fist around swiftly smashing shards of glass that grew embedded within his foreskin. He was furious now snatching useful looking equipment in the pitch black dark. His eyes were adjusting slightly as he bumped between the doors, years underground had given him a slight advantage though not entirely.
Finishing up in the room he throttled his way out ignoring whomever else was there. In the adjacent room he found floorboard schematics as he read them over quickly, Gabriel was going to save those who’d been taken they would not suffer as he had.
Flashing the map to the group behind him he shouted, “Go that way, I’ll be right behind you!” Commanding as he took off in the opposite direction assuming they’d believed him. He would be a martyr here and not let them die down here because he was their leader. Besides he preferred going it alone.
Thrusting himself down to the lower level the building was beginning to collapse causing all sorts of chaos, it would appear as if most had already fled but there were those still locked behind the walls. He found a few doors bolt locked and pried shut. With a furious tug he pulled them loose releasing whomever may have been inside. It took moments from there before he moved on to the next of the prison holds.
“Hold on!” He shouted coming down another flight of stairs finding an eerie looking man hunched over the body of a flaming ruckus.
Immediately another flashback hit.
Fire and brimstone falling from the remains and ashes of the Valkyrie headquarters, Gabriel stood mounted over the roof watching as the building was being set ablaze. Another figure running towards him fire in his eyes.
“Stop!” Gabriel shouted as he lunged at the figure, blade in hand. And thus a bloody duel commenced till he blacked out, all he remembered were those fiery eyes over him once more. “I hope you don’t think less of me…” the figure said as it left him to burn.
It all came back in a flash as Gabriel’s eyes went from emerald to copper fueled by an unknown demon. His walk and stature turned senile and sadistic. Drool dripped from his lips as if blood. A hate filled expression darkened his eyes.
“Time to go to sleep…” it beckoned as he thrust himself onto the creature beating away at his cranium biting as well.
The moments after that were fuzzy, he doesn’t recall much but when Gabriel came to, he lie in a pool of his own blood begging for death as he watched a mist dampen over his limp body. Torn apart, unrecognizable and indistinct from the corpse set ablaze.
“Dear God, save me….” He said with his last breath and his last tear…
