Linda's new office was right next to the teachers lounge. Formerly a janitor's closet with a window, Linda had used her own money to buy the janitor an outdoor shed to keep his cleaning supplies in, thus allowing her to take the room. She had spent a small fortune in getting the place remodeled within the week that 259 was closed, and it had come along nicely. Well truth be told it wasn't really much of an office, but rather a place where the new Student Hierarchy could meet, a conference room of sorts. The room had been completely repainted, and redecorated, with white walls and a nice large round table, and TV display with a flat screen. The roomLinda was sitting in the far seat of the table, the seat farthest from the door. Sitting there, she waited for the famous David Blaze to arrive. She had sent a student out with a note to meet her here only moments before. Being School Captain had its pluses, like access to all student information... Like class schedules. Taking full advantage of this, Linda made sure that David would receive her invitation right before the start of his fourth period. The invitation would simply read,
Dear David Blaze,
I would like to meet with you in my new office located just across from the faculty lounge. I think we got off on the wrong foot, and we have much to discuss. I'll be waiting ^_~

David looked down at the note, then back up at the doorway that the letter stated was her office. Now, one might ask why in the hell David Blaze would even bother going to see this woman if he disliked the people so much. It was a question that most would ask but probably wouldnt understand the answer to. In his mind, his action was simple and the reason for it just as simple. David had no respect for the actions of the current student hierarchy. What he did have respect for was the title. He would do nothing that would harm another student if it came from theyre orders. He wouldnt wreak destruction or pain like they wanted. But something as simple as having a meeting was a standard action for any School Captain, and regardless of whether or not he liked the person holding the title, he would show respect for it by showing up and listening to whatever the hell the girl wanted with him.
It reminded him of his own time as Captain. He was sure that there were people who disliked him when he was the holder of that position, but regardless of that he expected them to listen when it came to simple matters. It was all about honor and respect for the position. He had both, and would show it by responding to the summons.
He knocked, opening the door afterward and closing it behind him, his face nuetral and blank as he walked inside. He looked around, not showing any sort of reaction to the surroundings. He thought it overly official for a high school group, and completely restricting. As Captain you should always be ready for anything, and to him this only narrowed the area in which they could respond. Sure, it made it easier to get reports and such, but if a fight broke out clear across the school, it would take far to long to reach the battle in time to prevent any damage. Hell, what was he thinking? These were the dragons. They didnt care about damage to the school.
He looked at the woman, his eyebrows twitching slightly before he spoke.
"You wanted to see me?"
His voice was casual- the girl wasnt looking for a fight, otherwise she would have openly challenged him. He wouldnt have rejected the request- he would have been glad to show this girl that not everyone was as weak as she thought. But he held no real anger toward her- not anymore. He had his goals and plans in mind, and as such would accept Dragon rule of the school-for now.
He placed his hands in front of him, clasping them lightly, showing the respect deserving of the Captain- a respect none of her kind had shown at any time in his experience of the 259 Hierarchy.
Perhaps a message of the differences between the two?
Maybe.
But it was more like David was just acting on his own beliefs, waiting for the girl to state her business so he could be on his way.

Linda smiled when David took a seat across from her.
"Yes, I wanted to ask... What do you expect from the New School Captain? I know that you think of me negatively since the whole Emily incident, but really I want to know what I can do to better this school. I figured if there was anyone who had any ideas it would be you." Linda gave a pause allowing David to absorb the question she had just asked him.
"I also think we got off on the wrong foot, so I would like to reintroduce myself. Hi, I'm Linda and it is a pleasure to be speaking with you." The School Captain finished with a smile and simply sat waiting to get David's take on things.

"Hmm."
David took his seat, thinking things over silently. He didnt know, exactly, what this womans true intentions were. She spat at David last he spoke with her after the fight she had with Emily, and now here she was acting like nothing had ever happened. Besides, how could he believe anything she said or asked for when the dragons were known to do things theyre way regardless of what anyone else wanted. David placed his hands on the table, interlocking the fingers and giving the Captain a cool gaze, albiet a slightly interested one..
"I hope you dont take offense to this, but i feel the need to speak my mind." He paused a moment before gathering his thoughts and continuing. "Firstly, i don't believe you have my intentions in mind in anything you do. Everything i have ever seen of every Dragon has done nothing but point down the path to gaining power for yourselves and nothing else." He didnt break eye contact. "Second, its slightly hard for me to believe you would ask for my opinion and say youd want my suggestions when last you spoke to me, your voice was filled with contempt and gloating. Besides, your Captain now. What does it matter to you what a...oh, what was it i was called by your friend...Ah, thats right, A nobody. Youve never cared what ive thought before. Why change that now?"
His voice was simplistic, not full of anger or jealousy or regret. He spoke his mind, as he often did. It was both a gift and a curse of his- he said things straightforwardly, and to his knowledge the dragons had done nothing but destroy. Make the world a better place, make things grand and great for all, that was there motto, yet all they did was hurt, crush, and subject everyone to theyre tyranical actions.
David would have a tough time believing anything she said. Not to say he wouldnt listen and try to hear her out sicne he hadnt ever met her one on one before, but his experience with her kinda made him wary- there was no way he'd be letting his gaurd down. Not for a second.

As always, Linda just sat quietly, smiling. David's point of view was not so hard to believe, Linda was a bitch and she could accept that. As for the Dragons, David was dead on.
"Well as far as we Dragons are concerned, when it comes down to it everyone is expendable. You are all here for our enjoyment and that is all. If that is a shock to you then I'll be damned... but i don't think it is. We both know that if I ever saw you off of school grounds and if you even so much as looked at me the wrong way I wouldn't even give caving your skull in another thought." Linda felt herself slipping.... No... she would keep her cool. There was a purpose in calling David to meet with her after all.
"Now then, as far as this school is concerned I am the Captain and I know that you have previous experience with running the pillar system, which is knowledge I do not posses. As this school's captain I am going to protect it, but I need to know from you if there are any places in which I should give more attention than others. Yes, I am the Bone Dragon, and I am sure that just knowing that I enjoyed every second of crushing your friend, bothers you. I can't say I blame you. However, I am trying my best to turn over a new leaf so to speak, and keeping this school running smoothly is my top priority. I am not afraid to admit that I know next to nothing about this school, but that is why I need your help. If you are at all interested in helping 259 so that such events like the one that closed the school last week don't happen again, you'll let me know what I need to look for. If you do not want to help me... I understand because I have been a bitch to you for seemingly no reason." She ended on her still always and ever present smile.
Linda was blunt and straight forward at all times. Did she hate David? Nope. Linda harbored no hate for the guy, that was the Earth Dragon's thing. She did however feel the need to express her dislike for anyone that took arms up against her kin, regardless of what their reasons were... Dragons were blood, and she would defend their names and act as a vessel for their wrath.... Off of school grounds, of course.

David sighed. Empty threats and confirmed beliefs, thats all this girl was full of. David paused a moment. He smiled faintly.
"Since my returning bold talk and threats would do absolutely nothing in this situation but continue ever onward into a spiral of arguments and fights, I'll allow-" He put slight emphasis on the word. - your comments of crushing my friend and caving my skull to slide. " He would pause should she decide to smirk or retort, then continue. "As for your knowing nothing about what your doing, that i couldn't agree with you more on, though this time i say it out of respect for the title and not to antagonize. You want my advice? I'll give it simply." He picked up a water bottle he had brought with him and took a drink, giving a moment to collect his thoughts once more. He didn't believe the girl for a second- she didn't give a ruddy fuck about the school, so David would try to play off that.
"The West hall. The courtyard. The clock-tower, The school grounds. Militia. The south wing. Movement. Me. All these are places and people you need to worry about- whether you feel them worth your time or you think them a threat is at your discretion. Though i guess a better piece of advice would be this." He stared into her eyes.
"Give up the title." He smiled, knowing she would probably scoff at it. "Thats just advice, not a threat. I mean it for this reason only- you and your...friends, know nothing of protecting, unless its each other or yourself. You've all grown through your trials by destroying. You all have radical belief in a systematic destruction of anyone who opposes you, and thats not what being a Captain is all about." He chuckled a little to himself. "Can i ask you a question, before i continue?" He licked his lips. "You, Mathew and others say you want to make the world a better place, to help everyone you can." He looked around making it known that it seemed to him that he was stating an obvious question.
"Why get to the top by destroying everyone? Why don't you guys- or i sure say didn't you guys just help people? All that strength, all the power, the loyalty, the honor, the claims of wanting to make the school a better place, why didn't you guys use it to do what was best for everyone, instead of using manipulation, deceit, and pain to get your way here?" He leaned back in the chair. "I guess the obvious answer, and the one i would expect would be 'People respond better to being crushed and shown strength', but thats what makes you better then them. If you do nothing but hurt, your putting yourself on the same level as them with the exception of strength. Sure, they respond to it better, but they wont learn to change, they'll just lust for what you have. To truly change someone you must show compassion and love and justice in what you do. Let them know that you can be strong and be a good person."
He chuckled again, thinking almost to himself.
"You know, if you guys would have practiced what you wanted- actually helped people like you say instead of pulverizing everyone for the sake of honor, i might have seen you as friends, allies even."
He finished his little laugh, let out a little breath as he waited for either a dismissal or a response, his monologue over, his eyes-as always- on the captain.

Linda sat quietly and listened attentively, smiling. She took mental notes of the places and the groups of which David spoke. She even gave him her full and undivided attention while he went on about the dragons. He didn't understand, which was not at all shocking to her, how could he? He had never attended 552.
"Well then, I can't expect you to understand what the Dragons stand for... From what I can gather, you view us as a gang of sorts that uses our power and connections to influence others using fear and force."
Linda looked down at some papers she had stacked up on her side of the table. One of them was a newspaper article which went into great detail about the vandalism that befell 259 only a week ago.
"I'll make you a deal Mr.Blaze. If you answer all three of my questions honestly and truthfully, I will offer you the same chance to ask me any three questions about anything... Which I of course will answer you honestly and truthfully. What do you think?" She asked the former pillar while keeping eye contact.
There were many things that she wanted to ask David, but she needed serious answers. She figured that if he agreed to this, why should she not give him the same chance. Who knows, maybe he had some serious questions he wanted to ask Linda... Questions that only the Bone Dragon could answer.

David smiled. He may not have been to 552, he may not even understand what the dragons stood for. But she obviously dodged his question. It didnt matter what the title she held was suppose to stand for- the person shaped the title, not the other way around. At least, the person shaped a title like hers. There were other titles that had a general rule behind it, a code you were suppose to follow. Like School Captain. Protect the school. Protect its students. Obey the Principal. However, in this situation there was no Principal, and now that she held the title she plainly stated open contradictions. Like saying 'We'll protect you on school grounds, but once you step into the city and you look at us wrong, we'll beat you to within an inch of your life.'
"I, quite frankly, don't care what a Dragon is, or stands for. I care about what the other title you hold stands for. And im sorry, but saying youll protect someone on campus then beat them down if they look at you wrong off Campus doesnt work." He sighed. "A Captain is more then just watching someones ass and doing your duty- its an entire state of mind, one you simply dont have- at least, not yet." He bit his lip a moment, then cleared his throat as he considered her deal. Three questions. He gave her a slight, suspicious look. To the normal man the offer could mean anything, but for her to suggest it meant that she wanted information David was likely to possess. He spoke.
"I accept. You ask first."
He had nothing, currently, to hide. He waited patiently, the three questions he planned to ask already present in his mind. He wondered, though, what exactly was up with these guys. They played the school and its system like a game, like the strongest win. To him it was life, neither a game nor system to fight against.
There was nothing more important to him then life.

Excellent, and the games begin.
Linda looked David in the eyes, she was happy he had accepted her terms of questioning, this was gonna be fun.
"Do you hope for this new transference of power to be peaceful and as bloodless as possible?" She asked him with a smirk.
David seemed to be a good guy, well at least he thought so. This question was simple, and to the point, just how David would like it. If he was really the peace loving all round good guy that he posed to be, he would simply answer yes. Linda doubted David would honestly mean a simple yes... She could tell that her presence irked him, nah not just irked him, infuriated him, but could he keep his cool and accept change for the better?
Linda, remained sitting with a smile on her face, twiddling her thumbs. Not out of nervousness, but rather out of anticipation for David's answer.

He stared at her for a moment. It was a question he may have asked, if he was sure she would have cared whether there was bloodshed or not. In truth, he didnt think she cared, and therefore tried to be as to the point as possible.
"I cant give a yes or no answer. It will all depend on you and your Pillars. If you do as you say and protect the school populace on and off campus- then yes, i would like there to be as little bloodshed as possible. If your determined to do whatever you want whenever you want, then no, i'll bring as much bloodshed to you and your comrades as is needed to take you down."
Was that the answer she was looking for? Maybe. Regardless, he'd continue on by asking a question of his own.
"What do you want? And i don't want a simple answer. By what do you want i mean what do you and the other dragons want, your purpose for being here, why you take over the school and act as you do. What do you want?"
He may give simple answers at times, but there were hardly any simple questions to be asked here. Depending on how in depth her answer was, David would use the same method she did with her last two questions. If she gave him two words, he'd return the favor. He wasnt going to be had, or toyed with, and if she thought it a game then it was her mistake, and in the end neither of them would walk away from this with anything.

Linda was expecting an honest answer... It appeared David had given her one... Unexpected, but Linda would play by the rules of her own game.
"Alright, alright... So where should I begin? As a whole, The Dragon's share no common goal other than our strength and the ties of our self-made family. Meh, might as well start with me I suppose." Linda leaned back in her chair and tapped on her chin with her finger, all the while still looking David in the eyes.
"My goal is simply to take what I want, when I want and to do what I please when I please. You see, I am a simple girl. I likey something, I takey something."
It was true, Linda was just that simple. If there was something the Bone Dragon desired, she took it. There was no real method to her madness other than her wants.
"As for the other Dragon's, I'll just assume that you know who they are as I go along. The Earth Dragon wants world peace to the best of my knowledge. The Thunder Dragon is a wander who pretty much does as I, and takes what he wants. The Lightning Dragon, a man I am pretty sure you are familiar with, seeks only to destroy and find the perfect battle, one that he can die in. The Shadow Dragon seeks to extinguish the cries of the weak so that only the strong will remain. And last but not least the Storm Dragon seeks to find his purpose in a world I think he barely understands himself."
Linda hoped that her answer would be more than enough to answer David's question. After all he still had 2 questions left to ask the Bone Dragon.
"If that was a sufficient enough answer I believe it is my turn. How far are you willing to go to ensure that there is as little bloodshed as possible, even if you were called upon by me and my pillars to assist us with keeping the peace?"

David laughed.
Her question seemed absurd in his eyes. How far was he...HE willing to go to keep peace?
"You obviously dont understand me in the least."
He stood, and turned, pointing over his shoulder at his name.
"You see that? That, as you can tell, is how far i go. People assume my name is there to show off, and theyre damn right about it. "He turned back around, retaking his seat. "I put my name on the back of this shirt so people know who i am. Who to look for if they have a problem. Who they can go to for peace and security. I'm not a hard man to find- i make it that way with how i dress and how i act. You talk about doing what you want whenever you want- that doesnt keep the peace. You must have some rule, otherwise everything is Caos. If everyone did as you do there would be nothing but blood constantly."
He smirked.
"Though i guess i havnt answered your question."
He leaned back in the chair.
"I'll go to whatever lengths to keep the peace in this school. I don't need a title to be a peace keeper- i'll do it without one, as you should have done before you were Captain." If it didnt reach her, what he spoke of, then he wouldnt press it. "If im called upon to fight by any of the hierarchy, it will again depend on my association with you up to that point, and how you have been treating me, my friends, and the school. If you guys are honest and just in what your doing, as you claim to want, then i'll have no problem stepping up to the plate."
He grabbed his water, taking a drink.
"Heres my next question. If you and your allies are hell bent on making this school better, like you say, then why didnt you try that from the start? Why hurt people, why cause misery when you want peace and happiness? Why dont you just BE a good person instead of acting like a good person when the mood suits you?"
Strong question? Perhaps. But it was one he was deeply curious about.

Linda leaned forward in her chair, resting her elbows on the table. She was quiet for a few seconds, then spoke.
"Well, originally I didn't want peace... I wanted to test this school out by challenging it's School Captain. Then... well, shortly after, I took the title from Emily, I decided that what is best for this school is peace and I then appointed the appropriate council to reach this goal. I am sure that you will come to see that I am a very social person, and I have not done anything to really harm this school at all. I saw a weak captain, and so I replaced her so that this school would no longer have just that, a weak captain. Yes, I know someone died during our confrontation, but really... It could not be helped. I can assure you though I am not a good person, I'm working on that though..." After all the kid could have just ducked out of the way... Linda couldn't stop that phone book after Emily dodged it. Linda could admit that she was not a great person, because it was true. Was she turning over a new leaf, sure... But she was still Linda.
"My last question for you, unless you would like to continue our little game, is..." Linda paused to allow herself the time to word her question correctly. "When did it occur to you that I was not a good person, was that before or after I let Emily live, because we both know I could have killed her... but I chose not to?"

"Hm."
Simple reply to her answer. He didnt directly believe her- he learned not to take anything any of them said on faith. He would see the proof through time, that was all he needed and all he wanted. Her question following humored him again, though his outward appearance showed nothing. How did he know she was not a good person? Simple really.
"My first assumption that you werent the best type of person was your title. Every Dragon ive ever met has cared only for themself and who they can beat up. But that wasnt enough. The second thing that tipped me off was how you went about trying to get Emily's attention. Beating the shit out of students and posting up pictures everywhere was enough for me. The final thing was your utter disregard for Student saftey and tal lack for caring that someone was injured. You threw the book, saw it hit them, and didnt even care to check up on the person." He shrugged. "Not to mention you spitting at me and scoffing in a dragon-like manner."
He stared at her. "As for letting Emily live, you didnt and don't have a choice in that matter. Had you tried in any way to kill her or continue the fight after she was done, you'd have had me to contend with, and whether you think im a threat doesnt much matter to me. Underestimation is a good ally."
He cleared his throat.
"My final question is this." He shrugged. "You say you want to be a better person on the inside. How important is that to you? Just a matter that is only on your mind so long as you have authority with the students, or a total life-changing decision that, even if you lose the title in the future, you plan on continuing to achieve?"

Ooooo... this right here, this shit right here, was some Dr.Phil shit!
"Before I answer your last question, let me assure you that Dragon just stands for one of us, we are not all the same. Hell have you met Chrynos? Not much of a blood shedder if you ask me. He preferred to talk things out rather than fight... I dunno where he is though.." Linda said looking off for a few seconds.
"Anyway, back to your question. I say a lot of things, to a lot of people. I kind of just change my mind as time goes by, I don't ever really find myself sticking to any one subject for too long, nor any one cause unless I am requested to do so. I would like to promise you that I will always protect the students of this school, but honestly I can lose myself from time to time. I can promise you that I would like to change but I am reluctant to make any permanent decision at this time. I'm sure you can understand that." Linda smiled looking at Blaze.
