".. Whatever. You just looked more reliable than.. "Frenchie" there. I just had my reasons, that's all." Emily just chuckled, continuing her way onto bringing the young man towards the clinic. Least she could do for him telling her that "Unfettered" was alright.
At least, with that revealed to her - she didn't worry as much as she did a few months back. Man, does that boy need a good whipping.
".. You don't have to help me, I'm fine."
"It doesn't mean that I didn't have to, that I shouldn't anyway." She said, "I'll just take you the clinic to be given some first aid and I'll be on my way, mm?"
She would look at the young man with a warm smile before looking back on the way they were going. "You won't be able to walk for a little while, until then - you'll be stuck with me."

How embarrasing, to be dragged around by such a fragile looking girl. It was almost a sin to be put like this among the people, but then again.. Well.. Personally, a man has his pride, so that's how it goes. But.. Oh well, things couldn't be helped at this point.
"It doesn't mean that I didn't have to, that I shouldn't anyway."
Cody didn't say anything, sure, things could be free. But hey.. There was really no arguing with this girl. Bah.. Cody just kept his gaze to the side. Although he couldn't really feel the pain in his leg, this was nice of her at least.
"I'll just take you the clinic to be given some first aid and I'll be on my way, mm?"
"You won't be able to walk for a little while, until then - you'll be stuck with me."
He sighed. There just was no giving up on this young lady now was there. For once, he'd give a glance at her, only to see that warm, but ridiculous smile on her face, what was she, a saint?
Cody just shook his head.
"Whatever.." It seems he was growing attached to that word.
"Do what you like, I suppose free help is hard to come by now and again.."
Still straggling along, he then spoke up, after a little bit of silence.
"It's funny.. I feel like I've known you from somewhere before, you look familiar.."
Those handcuffs dangled out fo his pocket, as he leaned over to the side a bit more to give her less of his body weight to lean on.

"Whatever.. Do what you like, I suppose free help is hard to come by now and again.." Emily merely smiled, spotting the the landmark to the clinic, a fire hose and a little bulletin board, basically shouting that the clinic was less than one more turn to the left. God, this school was huge.
"It's funny.. I feel like I've known you from somewhere before, you look familiar.."
Emily's other hand then started to struggle, pulling a keychain to retrieve some keys from her shorts' pockets. Yes, those were the keys to the clinic, a perk of being an ex-captain and HSN and having no one more or less want the keys back.
"We probably have met before then." She said, finding that blue key that opened the Clinic door as they made the final turn. "Lots of things have happened in 259 recently, so it's not at all surprising that we'd eventually forget something, right?"

As bad as it seemed, it wasn't so bad being ccarried by such a pretty girl. But then again, who really cared about such things like that. Albeit, she was certainly pretty.
"We probably have met before then."
Well that was true, to the extent. Probably it has happened before, but there wasn't much he could do for it. Still.. As he felt her struggling, perhaps he needed to give her a break? Perhaps he needed to lean over and just give her some slack.
"Lots of things have happened in 259 recently, so it's not at all surprising that we'd eventually forget something, right?"
He'd nod, as he suddenly heard some keys jingle out of the left side of him, looking down, he'd note that there was some sort of key.. He wondered why she was bringing the keys out.. As they were nearing the door. That's when it occured to him. The girl that had just beat him up, was either someone of high authority, or a nurse.
He was betting on the latter.
Son of a bitch.
"I suppose you're right.."
He would struggle to slowly assist her with his own body weight ..
".. So, let me guess.. You're a nurse here, aren't you?"

Despite being strong enough to carry this man's weight around she more or less considered his subtle efforts to help him with his weight to be an act of kindness, which she didn't openly thank for, but appreciated.
".. So, let me guess.. You're a nurse here, aren't you?" He asked as Emily managed to open the door with a twist of her wrist and a push.
A school nurse? Here? In 259?
Emily grinned at the thought. That didn't exactly sound as bad as it probably would've been if she had been some newbie nurse graduate, which she wasn't as she had even yet to step into college, but--
"No." She said, "I do help out here though. At times."
...
Yeah, she had to add that for the reason that she never exactly was here all the time.
Yeah, right.
Emily would help Cody enough so that he would manage to sit down by a bed so he could relax as she took two hot water bags filled with tap water.
Tap water, as her Qi did the rest in warming them up to a suitable and comfortable temperature. She handed them over to him with a smile and said, "Sorry about that. Put these on your leg and your back and you should be fine in the next few minutes."

Finally, reaching the inside of the nurses office, Cody then headed inside with her. She was literally dragging him by his body by this time however. She must be a school nurse as she had access to the nurses office, right?
...
"No. I do help out here though. At times."
Oh, so she just goes around, kicking ass for fun? That sounds like a nice power trip indeed..
Waaait a minute.. Fuck.
After that little bit of self reflection, Cody too a moment to sit up on the table, she was a nice enough girl however, as she continued to putter about as Cody sat on the table, waiting for her "treatment" upon his withered body.
He tried to shake the pain out of his leg, but that didn't work.
She then came back with a couple of water bags, it seemed, as she held them out to him.
"Sorry about that. Put these on your leg and your back and you should be fine in the next few minutes."
Cody took one in each hand, specifically applying one onto his leg, and he would lean against the wall for the other one against his back. He would nod a simple thank you.
Before he had a question.
"So, what's your deal, then? Why didn't you just leave me there?"

"So, what's your deal, then? Why didn't you just leave me there?" Emily chuckled; her answer was simple enough.
"Moral obligation." She said, "Nothing wrong with a bit of pacifism every now and then right?"
Emily would then quickly take a seat at a chair close-by. Generally, this girl favored this path over the latter that was already taken by a certain Irish man she knew a while back. Though, him aside --- this man was interesting, if anything.
"Would it be alright if I asked what happened to get you that riled up back there?" Emily inquired, "You don't have to, though."

As Cody sat on the edge of the table, he looked down at the girl, who was sitting there, curiously intent upon her face as she told him her reason for looking that up.
"Moral obligation."
"Nothing wrong with a bit of pacifism every now and then right?"
Cody couldn't believe his ears. He gripped those hot water bottles in his hands tightly as he heard those words slipped from her mouth.
Moral obligation.
Moral obligation is what he'd been put through for the past 18 years of his life. Moral obligation is what put him in jail in the first place. Moral obligation screwed his life over from the start of when he actually started caring.
... So he looked to the side.
"I see.." He would answer bitterly.
Moral obligation, is what tore him from his trust. And made him into the monster that he was today.
Moral Obligation, is what ended him up with no friends.. Not even a girlfriend.
"Would it be alright if I asked what happened to get you that riled up back there?"
"You don't have to, though."
He sneered, as he looked at her again, with a small smirk on his face.
"Well, I suppose the tiny, cute, nurse with her.. Mor--.. Good heart.. Has a right to some things, I suppose.."
He stuttered with Moral Obligation. Because, techincally, it was from the good ofher heart that she decided to bring him here.. Why not share a bit of his story.
".. I suppose I could say the same thing as you.. Moral Obligation."
Not for the same reason.. But.. Those words tasted so spoiled in his mouth.
".. I have my reasons, I keep my eye out for those who bother me, and bother others. I do what others can't or don't wish to do. I get my hands dirty, in exchange for the other pricks in this school who would rather worry about other petty things, like what's for dinner, or who's hotter than who.."
Basically..
".. Basically, I look out for the other people. I know there are others, but.. They're off worrying about who's gossiping about who loves who..
.. I don't have time for that. I do what needs to be done.. That's all."
But as far as the outbursts go..
".. As far as you and I go.. That.. Was a result of a completely different mess."

If anything, this so-called "Moral Obligation" was hard to live by. Even for Emily. "Love your Enemies", "Patience is a virtue", and other sayings that she tries to lives by... they're not all easy to deal with, especially with the nature of things in this school to be the way that it is...
"Well, I suppose the tiny, cute, nurse with her.. Mor--.. Good heart.. Has a right to some things, I suppose.."
".. I suppose I could say the same thing as you.. Moral Obligation."
Heh... Really, now?
".. I have my reasons, I keep my eye out for those who bother me, and bother others. I do what others can't or don't wish to do. I get my hands dirty, in exchange for the other pricks in this school who would rather worry about other petty things, like what's for dinner, or who's hotter than who.."
Of course, this young man would not notice the small smile that Emily had on her face listening to this.
".. Basically, I look out for the other people. I know there are others, but.. They're off worrying about who's gossiping about who loves who..
.. I don't have time for that. I do what needs to be done.. That's all."
"I see..."
".. As far as you and I go.. That.. Was a result of a completely different mess."
Emily crossed her arms and thought for a while. Heh, a defender? That is a particularly ... rare genus of man these days. If anything, this young man right here would be the first that Emily knew had this sort of philosophy in the school. Most of the others were too busy plotting and doing what they think benefits them most.
It was rare that one looks at the greater picture, rather than pictures that share only their point of view. Emily would only smile, and nod. "I guess that brings you a lot of trouble." Emily sighed, "The most trouble I got for trying would be getting myself experimented on."
She chuckled a bit, "No matter, those people won't be bothering you for a while, at least."

"I see..."
"I guess that brings you a lot of trouble."
Trouble? She didn't even know the half of it. If anything, his attitude on justice had only brought him misery, selflessness, and a distute addiction to fighting those that caused the most trouble.
A way to bring his name back up, I suppose.
He only looked at her, as she folded her arms over her chest.
"The most trouble I got for trying would be getting myself experimented on."
Getting herself experimented on? What was this girl? Was she so desperate as to be subject to a science to have to be able to pay the bills, or have some morality amongst herself? Or something more?
He sighed. He had something to say, but he'd let her finish first, which.. Probably wasn't the best plan.
"No matter, those people won't be bothering you for a while, at least."
He smirked as he turned his head to the side.
"Heh.. That's what you think."
Of course, she wouldn't realize that though some of the antics that went on during the Correctional facility, and albeit, the directors were being put on trail for their actions, what the students had done, was indeed illegal.
And the person taking the heat for everyone..
Was, indeed, Cody.
Authorities, were riding his ass, attempting to arrest the "Great Cody Travers" would earn a promotion to ANY cop on the force.
Of course, his record of what he'd done in Metro City was still following him.
Jail, was going to be inevitable, if he didn't continue to stand up for himself, and those around him.
"If you think the students here are a problem to me, you've got another thing coming; girl."
He'd look down at the ground.
".. I'm not putting those stripes on again.."
He muttered to the ground.
If he ever wanted to live a happy life, get a girlfriend (Yeah, right) and the like.. He needed to find a way.
Cody's name had been tarnished. And always will be. He then looked up at her.
".. You? Experimentation? Someone as cute and smart as you shouldn't subject yourself to something like that." He stated firmly to her, with blank eyes, full of honesty.
