With the mention of Petsmart, Mitsuki could not help but think of a certain time when a young man bought her three things, one of which was related to the store they were currently heading towards. It was where her best friend, Skye, had been residing. Then again...are pets allowed to be considered best friends? Was she allowed to put them above people? She thought about Skye and his icy blue hues, the way he seemed almost protective over her whenever a fight ensued. She smiled lightly, and nodded her head at Emily's question. The smile may have been a surprise, as Mitsuki was a rather stoic person, yet as fast as the smile came, it went.
"His name is Skye," she replied, "He's a husky."
Anyway, to continue with conversation as they walked...
"Are you planning on buying a pet for Yami-chan?"

Wait - was that a smile Emily saw? Well, it didn't stay long enough for Emily to process that idea - but there was. Was there something about Petsmart that was special? Well, Emily would find out sooner or later.
"His name is Skye," she replied, "He's a husky."
Meep. A dog. Well, that isn't surprising. Dogs are wonderful companions with unwavering loyalty when treated right. It's just that Emily wasn't very comfortable with dogs, big ones especially. German Shepherds a special mention, at that. Not a lot of good memories come from them, at least for the emerald-eyed girl who was walking along with a good friend.
"Are you planning on buying a pet for Yami-chan?"
Emily shook her head a bit. "I'm buying food for Yami-chan." She said, probably invoking strange thoughts. Who would buy food for a "person" at a pet shop? That is unless -- "He's my cat."
She chuckled. "I've always thought having a pet would be nice, but I've never been comfortable around dogs." Emily smiled sleepishly, remembering a few things.
Yami was the type of cat who would greet her everytime by the door of her apartment, then rub at her legs as soon as she comes home. He ate at the same times Emily did, but was disciplined enough to not jump at the table.
Then again, Yami wasn't a very healthy cat.
"I found him on the streets with an infected leg; I nursed him to health and he hasn't left the apartment since." She laughed.
Animals are so carefree and pure. They, at least, have a sense of gratitude and love unlike most human beings.

She nodded her head; she realized that many people weren't very fond of dogs. Most were a result from a previous, unfortunate experience, others...simply preferred other animals. Mitsuki was close to her canine companion, and she herself wasn't very fond of cats. It's not that she had a bad history with them, it's simply because her family has a history of allergies to cats, and so she adopted the feeling of avoidance to such creatures because of their fur. She remembered her twin brother would break into a hacking fit if the fur every got near him. Anyway, it was very admirable that Emily nursed a stray cat to health. If Mitsuki found an injured animal on the street, and a domestic one at that, she wouldn't nurse it to health herself. Instead, she'd drop the animal off at a vet - unless, of course, it was her own dog, in which case who knows how Mitsuki would react?
Mitsuki kept pace with Emily; it felt a little foreign to her, to be communicating with Emily like this. To hear her laugh in such a carefree manner, away from the gravity of the events that occur within the school walls. Was this the start of a friendship? It was so fragile at this stage, so easily can it be torn apart. Her mind briefly wandered to Olyesa, a close female acquaintance, and wondered what she was doing, where she was. Wondered if the flower shop was still there...
Mitsuki was not very good at holding off questions that were at the front of her mind. She was almost sorry for breaking such a...pure moment.
"Emily," she started, "You said you had something to ask me?"
Unless her asking about Mitsuki's disappearance was her question...?

"Emily, You said you had something to ask me?" Emily's smile more or less softened a bit after Mitsuki asked this. Yeah, it was about time to get to business, right? Emily had a few questions; questions of which more or less bugged her ever since---
"Tsuki," She started, "Would you mind if I asked you to tell me a bit more about... Winters? You know, "Unfettered.""
If Mitsuki was looking at Emily's face at this point, she would notice that it had a slight tinge of pink, but of course - Emily would do her best to shrug it off before Mitsuki would even notice. Emily just walked straight ahead, her eyes catching the sign that said "Petsmart" just a few dozen meters away. Shouldn't be too long, right?
For now, Emily would... just like to know things.
