Alex's flame engulfed fist however, would never reach Victor, something that Alex was secretly glad for, he was good friends with Victor, and the guy was alright, even with his fight loving personality. As Alex charged towards Victor, the guy who called himself Anubis launched himself between Alex and Victor, as he attempted to embed a hook kick into Alex's gut. Alex however, would not allow it. Snapping his free hand out, Alex caught the foot, sending him skidding backwards. The sound of a hellish howl rang out through the grounds, as Alex used all his strength and attempted to shove Dots backwards, the sight of blood spraying out from his mouth forcing Alex to raise one arm to block the blood from landing on him, distracting Alex long enough for Gabriel's kick to connect with Alex, though Alex barely reacted in time, as pain shot through his back, just below his ribs, instead of his kidneys, as he had intended. Collapsing down on one knee, Alex's head turned to glance behind him, meeting Gabriel's gaze, an expression of anger on his face.
Alex however, did not care if Gabriel was grateful or not. Anger would only inhibit Alex's fighting abilities, he had learned to avoid letting his emotions get the best of him in fights. Once he saw Gabriel and the black-haired girl stalk off, he turned back to Dots and stood up, gritting his teeth underneath his mask from the pain, he would be a bit bruised after all this, but it was something he was used to, a little bit of pain wasn't going to stop him. He would say nothing, instead he would bow his head slightly in respect towards Dots, or, Anubis, as he called himself. If he called himself the Dog God of the Underworld, the least Alex would do is give him the respect he thought he deserved. Alex would keep an eye on Dots however, who knows what he would do, even with the respect Alex had given him. His gaze then fell on the guy who had attacked Gabriel, as his flame engulfed hands continued to burn brightly. Taking off at almost full speed, due to his weighted anklets, Alex would launch a underhand right hook at the guy, aiming to bury his fist into the guy's gut.
