A flash of memory traced in Matrim's mind of the feeling of the blades handle, the weight of the sword and how the beat of a heart made it quiver slightly. The utter feeling of complete power he had that day, the sense of ownership of his own being. How incredibly powerful he had been for one bright shining moment-- and then it was all gone. And every day since then some part of him had always wondered what it would be like to be that utterly powerful again...
He was powerful, but had not been satisfied with any feeling of pure Energy flowing through out him, until recently....
A fight with Gabriel had awoken that feeling, the feeling of using his Qi awakened something greater in him, something much more dominant and forceful, something that had caused him to relive the experience he had at St. Paragons Secondary School, the feeling of Kane Hikari's Qi running through his body and making him almost unstoppable. The feeling of strength in it's most intoxicating form, and now Matrim was tempted to go back on the wagon....
"And out came another horse, bright red; its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that men should slay one another; and he was given a great sword. War......." He said to himself, reciting the passage by heart. One of the things about a photographic memory and being raised catholic. Things stuck with you, but how had he not seen himself as this. He was the perfect embodiment of the horseman war.
Matrim stopped in the hall, stopping and looking up towards a group of students who were about to get into a heated argument from the look of things. They stopped to turn and look at him, one of them asking, "What the hell you lookin at? Did you want something? Maybe we should kick your ass as well!"
I am the war bringer....
"My name is Dragon."
"Your name is what?"
"My name, is the Infernal Dragon......"
Fists tightened, he looked as the man grinned, "Yeah, sure, Dragon... what do you want a medal or something? There are a few of them ar---"
"None like me....." Matrim said, standing on the brink of a moral dilemma, unsure as to whether he should do something to these kids or not. His mind conflicted, torn as to what to do. He could leave these people to their own war, or he could take care of them himself. Either way the consequences would be the same. Which way offered him redemption? Which road offered him true purpose? Which road was better for them. Leaving them to war upon themselves? Or to unite them against him, only to beat them, to give them a will to get stronger. To give them a purpose to become stronger, so that they might do better against one set out to kill them........
"Right whatever, get the hell----"
"I don't think you understand why I'm here now."
"Oh?"
"Let me show you....." A knee jutted out into the mans gut, causing him to double over in pain, Matrim bent over the man wrapping his arms around the mans torso, bringing his weight up so the man was upside down, and dropped on his ass with his legs opening at a 90 degree angle to allow the man to come crashing on his head before Matrim let go and rolled himself back into a somersault, ending on one knee, eyes closed, without having broken a sweat or caused his heart to pick up in rate.
"None of you will ever understand why I am here," Matrim said to himself. The others going on guard, wondering whether to fight or run, "But I assure you, just as I am on the brink of discovering my true self, so are you this very moment. Decide your life with this very situation, and make sure you stick to your decision, because it's how you will be judged."

Judgment?
David stepped from the blackened hall to the left of the fight, his hand sin his pockets as he walked forward, gaze flicking over the now gurgling body of the person Matrim had just done away with. Dragon? He cracked his neck. Matrim gallagher- they had met before, long ago. Another person was there....Addie. Addie Balfour. He couldn't remember her face too clearly, but he remembered brow hair, and a kid who had chased her there. He stared at this new piece of information, wondering how best to approach the situation. He began to build up his Qi, starin and waiting just a moment or two while the boys Matrim had spoke to tried to decide whether to stay or run. Thier decision didnt interest him. What he wondered and questioned was why Gallagher decided to get so...violent all the sudden.
"Judgment comes from law and justice." His voice was calm. He didn't fear the kid, but he wouldn't be looking to tear apart an entire hallway either. "You can't simply go on a rampage because of some inner conflict you have. It goes against school rules-" He tilted his head slightly. "-and school rules will be obeyed." He wasn't trying to piss Matrim off, but David had taken it upon himself to see that the school remain as peaceful as possible. Having a fight break out wasn't on his list of things to see, especially between himself and yet another Dragon. He would have stopped the argument the kids had been getting in to if he had seen it happen- and by stopping he meant ask them to calm down and work things out verbally.
Still, his eyebrows drew down.
"Since when have you been a Dragon, Matrim?"
Qi charged and Ready for use in next post.
OOC((If you would prefer, i can make it so David didn't hear Matrim say he was a Dragon. I'm cool either way- been a long time since we had a thread, yes? ^_^))

(OOC: No worries, my grand entrance kinda went south, so this thread is where he's trying to make it more public knowledge. Like if Characters really want to after this point they can assume it, so I'm fine with him hearing; and it's been too long xD)
"Judgment comes from law and justice. and school rules will be obeyed. Since when have you been a Dragon, Matrim?" David Blaze, they knew each other pretty well actually. They made a deal back at 42, and Matrim still owed the boy a favor. He was going to hold true to that deal since David's help very well could have saved Shayne's life that day.
"Laws won't protect them, they are only there to punish the guilty and avenge their victims. They are swords, not shields. The only true way to protect them from being victim's is to make sure they are strong enough to protect themselves, but these aren't victims. These are the guilty whom were about to fight. It's why I'm giving them the option of running. One suffers a headache for the price of showing the others the errors of their way."
Matrim made sure to face David, "I know you believe this too, otherwise you wouldn't be stopping me here, now, you are attempting to do the very same thing," Matrim said, "I don't blame you. But the fact is I don't seek confrontation with you. Not because you're strong, but because it's possible that my son is alive today because of you and Emily. These boys have the option to run, and I'm sure they'll take me up on that offer."
Matrim tried to remember things he had heard about David, he knew he took on the Earth Dragon, he watched the fight. And he would love to fight David, more than anything. But something told him that David was into the school thing, just as Matrim had been.
"I got my name before coming back, and to prove my worth I took on the so called Nova Dragon and won, which was quite an easy task."

David smiled, pointing down at the body of the boy.
"Actually, you didn't give warning of your force, and the law is in place to protect everyone. Once someone breaks the law, then, should force be a necessity, you use it. The law is a shield- whether you use it as a standard everyone must abide, or as something to hide behind- either way, so long as it is obeyed you are safe from both pain and hate. This kid had not broken the law, yet, and therefore was undeserving of such actions." He was different then matrim in one aspect- he wouldn't cause someone pain until the action of breaking the law had been completed. Respect the law, fear what should happen if you don't. If they were about to fight, warn or threaten them all you like, but causing damage before it was due? No, David wouldn't do it. He stepped from the shadows.
"Gabriel Seran." The name dripped like venom from his lips. "I know Gabriel-" He looked around. "-And judging from who you guys are this must not have taken place on campus, otherwise the whole school would have known." He walked over, checking the pulse of the boy who was utterly unconscious. He sighed, coming to his feet. "You are strong, i am sure. But, to qoute a movie i absolutely hate but respect because of this one line- with great power comes great responsibility. You can't just use your power to destroy lives- if you wish..." He paused, thinking for a moment. He could always use an individual to help him...
He shrugged.
"Join with me and help me make the school a better place. If thats truly what you want." He looked down at the boy, whose body was lying between them. "Or, you can continue to go around damaging individuals who have yet to break the law simply because of intent, and we can meet again on worse terms. I truly would prefer the first option, but either way i will make sure the law is upheld to the dot. Take it as you will." His offer was...somewhat unorthodox, as was his warning, and Matrim being in the state of mind he currently was in may or may not take kindly to it. In all honesty it didn't much matter to him.
He would make the school safe regardless of the outcome of this conversation.

I truly would prefer the first option, but either way i will make sure the law is upheld to the dot. Take it as you will." Matrim looked deep into his eyes as if trying to see his logic inside of them.
"You contradict yourself..." Matrim said. Did he REALLY? Not necessarily. What he did do was contradict Matrim's logic. Which was simply that you had to hurt them, make them grow stronger, and they'd be better off for it, "I would not permanently injure somebody who didn't deserve it. Those who deserve growth and mercy will receive it. But by protecting them completely, you are like an over bearing parent who will do more harm than good in the end. They must be exposed to what it's really like out there to prevent become victims of it. Otherwise, you might as well kill them off yourself...."
Matrim turned to the ones who had gathered, a few of them had left, a few utterly afraid, slowly backing away as Matrim stared them down, "As for joining you. I owe you that favor, that's as far as that goes. Nothing permanent past that, but if I agree with you on something I'd be more than willing to help out. Aside from that, I am gathering that we have a complete difference in opinion in how to help these students. In any case, I know we can agree on one thing.... so I'll tell you a story about Gabriel...."
Matrim would approach David till he was uncomfortably close, stepping over that body, "He's twisted, he'd quicker sacrifice the life of a subordinate than take a bullet himself. I don't know what he's after or if he has any of his old ambitions, but during a rather heated chess game I learned a lot about him, trust me, if you want what's best for this school, me and you can both agree on one simple fact."
"For the sake of this school, Gabriel Seran should be killed."
Matrim wouldn't change anything in his voice or face, he'd let it stick with David for awhile and see what he thought about that. Matrim's opinion was that Gabriel Seran would end up getting people killed, and if not he would end up killing people. That's just what his abilities seemed to spell out, Matrim felt the burn and witnessed the strength. He knew what type of leader Gabriel was when he answered Matrim's hypothetical. He had to be dealt with.

"You should be careful with what you say about fearless leader Mr.... Dragon."
This of course was said by that large male, having been listening to this from just around the corner. It seemed to be another sober day for poor Katsuri as a cigarette was lit in his mouth, smoke billowing out from the thing like a chimney stack. He made his own mind you, and the tobacco was compacted so tightly into these little sticks of death that they burned extremely slow. Fingers lifted up and he would have removed the thing after a drag, holding it down by his side, letting that breath come free, exhaling the gray mist into the hall around them.
Free hand was resting against that belt, thumb looped under it with that arm of his bent into an elbow. He looked at them, offering no expression, just those stark white eyes, glancing over them both in turn. It was amusing to see an eight foot menace with a heart belt for a belt buckle, but what was less amusing was what lay attached to either side of his jaw line, ready to latch shut at a moments notice making any damage to the lower half of his face nearly impossible.
Gabriel. The man honestly did not influence Katsuri one way or another, despite what he'd like to say otherwise on the subject, he was more interested in what stood here right now.. dragons, well, that and someone whom apparently was prepared to stop 'evil' for 'good', that always had tickled him.
"Question I have to ask," said with his hand raising that cigarette back up to his lips taking another long drag of before exhaling and then licking the end of it, putting the little smoldering bit to rest. The cigarette was put into his pocket as the last bits of smoke escaped from nostrils. "Do you two realize how ignorant you sound?" The mask would have activated, coming down and sealing shut, letting loose the pressure as it cut any contaminants from the outside off.
What was he referring to? Something simple of course, the fact that they both seemed to be blind to their given side, when in all honesty this bickering did not threaten existence if left alone.. now.. the real dragons on the other hand.. and these idiots if they kept at it, that would be a problem.

David turned toward the big man, staring at Matrim for but a few more moments. He stared at the giant before speaking silently.
"Ignorant- and this coming from someone who calls Gabriel a Fearless leader. Ignorance and hypocrisy are everywhere."
He turned back toward Matrim.
"And no- Death solves nothing. It only brings more death. You want to kill someone, don't do it on school grounds, and dont do it in front of me. Murder just shows weakness." He unfolded his hands. "Now, im going to have to ask you to, kindly, back off- threatening me with words and violence just doesnt work. I'm not afraid of you or any Dragon, so please, spare me the theatrics." He would stare at Matrim, waiting for the boy to simply lay a hand on him. there was no reason for this kid to attack him, just because his own logic was flawed. If Matrim did back off, he would simply smile, not in mocking but in regards to what he said before.
"Violence simply breeds more violence. By beating everyone who is weak into a pulp just to make them stronger, your making a bunch of angry strong people who will then wreak more chaos. I don't believe in that- anarchy is no solution. You talk of Chaos, i speak of justice. Law must be abided, and if it isnt then there are repercussions. If you don't obey the law, whether your an average person or a group of Dragons- i'll find you, and i'll put you down. Simple."
He would wait for a response from both the giant man and Matrim- David wondered why the big guy was even here- what did he want with either of them?

I threatened him? .... I don't remember threatening him...
"Now now, you're starting to contradict yourself even more. Death solves nothing so you aren't going to kill us, and beating us down will only make us stronger and want to cause more destruction according to you...." Matrim said, "You just put yourself in quite the conundrum. As for you Katsuri, Just recently I heard Gabriel swear up and down he followed Leon Sudeki. That Leon was his master, and he served him no matter what. I always thought you were more than the servant of someone elses flunky."
Matrim backed away from David, "Though I do find this all interesting, David Blaze Law Enforcer, and Katsuri.... really? Gabriel's bitch? Why? What in the world made you think, 'you know what, life's too boring, I'm gonna go become the underling of some weak ass wannabe dragon'. Never figured you for that type of guy." Matrim said, laughing as he backed up toward a large window with a low sill.
"I mean when you really think about it, it's all just ridiculous isn't it? I mean the David thing sure that one's not a shocker but YOU?!?!?" He began to laugh harder at Katsuri, sitting down on the window sill.

"Sarcasm does not seem to flow well with that river of pretty words."
He'd shrug his shoulders ever so slightly, those hands of his resting where they were wanted, and that being with thumb looped under his belt. Who was this self-righteous asshole? No. Not Matrim, he knew him, he was just a plain old asshole, but this other one whom seemed intent upon protecting something that did not need protection. Pah. The mask would have unlatched just enough for him to bring his right hand up, index out and begin digging in his nose, nonchalantly like he was not even doing it.
"Words are words for you, I guess I get that, but do not lump me in the same realm as Gabriel. Neither one of you. Man is merely going to help me accomplish my goal, nothing else."
That said he would have removed a hard booger from his nose and flicked it on the ground, looking back over at Matrim, whom, for all intensive purposes did not look like one of the dragons to Katsuri, especially given he had seen several of them, most of which were extinct.
"If that includes taking out poor excuses for protectors like you? Then so be it. Progress can not be hindered by any idiot deciding he gets to judge who is right and wrong. "
This was a shot at both of them, as he knew numerous dragons in the past that believed their sense of power was the correct one.. same as this solo-superhero. If the Black Knights got too uppity after the dragons were done and finished with? Katsuri would be looking for a group to take them out as well, it was as simple as that. The man followed no sense of good or bad, and rather these two believed him pathetic or not, he was not the one nit picking morality when morality was a mute point.

David smiled.
This conversation, in essence, was moving downhill fast. Matrim felt himself winning of an argument- not at all. David, unlike him, didn't just go beat up people who thought themselves weak for the express purpose of making them stronger. He didn't give the chance for them to learn, didn't give them the chance to grow physically from the battle. he beat them senseless, then took them to get medication. Why? Justice. You can't go around breaking laws and expect to simply walk away with a verbal slap on the wrist. He had played that game for years, and it always failed. So, he turned to physically putting things to an end and it worked out so far.
Matrim, on the other hand, was simply laughing and mocking, obviously not committed to the conversation. Katsuri, on the other hand had him all wrong.
"Your statement hold no bearing over me. The law of the school and the country will be obeyed by everyone, including myself. I am merely doing the job of control- use my own knowledge of school rules and enforce them by whatever means necessary. As for Gabriel-" He shrugged. "-The boy thinks he's on the road to leadership, and great things. He's going nowhere fast. And someone who talks about accomplishing goals should realize that fast, otherwise you'll find out the hard way that he accomplishes nothing, for himself or for others."
He would stare at matrim a moment, trying to decide whether to continue thier battle of words by tearing his logic apart, or...
He smiled.
"I'll no longer argue with you. Take it as a verbal admittance of mental defeat, i dont care. So long as you realize that, next time i see you fighting on school grounds without cause, i'll put a stop to it with a quickness."
He turned, and began to walk away, ignoring comments from either of them, unless he was physically provoked.

Matrim let David go, and instead focused on Katsuri.
"With a quickness... has almost a ring to it. Like with a vengeance don't you think?" Matrim said and then changed the topic to Biggy, "Alright. Let's hear it then, what is Gabriel going to help you with that I can't possibly do a better job with helping you? Bearing in mind that I did just have a fight with the guy and I don't think he's in any condition to help anyone much less eat anything that doesn't come through a straw. I mean honestly, seeing a guys skull in the middle of a fight isn't exactly a good sign is it?"
That was really freaking gross..... our Qi's don't mesh for him I guess....
"Because I'd help you out just to screw him out of having you work for him, free of charge and you don't have to have any rumors going around that you're somebody elses bitch. Sounds like a pretty good bonus yeah? So what is it that you want?"

"My words have as much bearing on you as they do the people whom created those laws and rules. What gives them the right to create those laws, and by that respect what gives you the right to reinforce them. You're nothing but a puppet."
Rather those words fell on deaf ears or not were of no concern to Katsuri as his gaze shifted to Matrim instead, and the questions that came from the man would have gotten a grin from that eight foot menace, tilting his head ever so slightly and rolling his shoulders.
"Anyone can help me with my goal, but unfortunately, if you plan on wearing that title it means you're one of the targets.."
It was simple in thought, and he had explained the reasons why to this man, as even though Katsuri believed in strength and power, he did not believe so much in leaders deciding who was going to do what, that was the beauty of his way of thinking.
"After all, no person, nor group of people should be in charge of deciding what any one person does, and if that means I have to play nice and create groups to do so I will face that hypocrisy for the time being. "

"Anyone can help me with my goal, but unfortunately, if you plan on wearing that title it means you're one of the targets.."
"Then I can help you," Matrim said, "I'll help you with all but two of your targets. Me and the Bone Dragon. But I'll help you with the others because I'm already trying to get them, after all, Gabriel Seran is the Nova Dragon."
Matrim wasn't a complete dumb-ass, he knew what the guy meant by titles right away. And there's no way he wasn't going to let the guy know he was working for a Dragon.
"After all, no person, nor group of people should be in charge of deciding what any one person does, and if that means I have to play nice and create groups to do so I will face that hypocrisy for the time being. "
"Amen to that," Matrim said, thinking about it, "And I'm fine with people fighting just so you know. My thing is simple, if they are going to fight and are free to do what they want, I'm free to do as I wish right back at them. In any case, I think they learned something today. I didn't tell them what to do, I simply told them their options, and they knew the consequences of both of the options."
Matrim looked toward where David left, "Hall Monitor Extraordinaire just wants to feel important I guess...."

It seemed that at least for now they were going to be on the same terms.. but this comment that came after would have caused his brow to shoot upwards quite quickly. 'Gabriel a dragon eh?... Seems two face had a third face hiding in there somewhere.' That made him smirk, so wide that it even showed on those eyebrows as they made an arc upwards a little. He was definitely interested in playing with this Dragon, especially if it meant he was going to get further with him then he would Gabriel.
"Mm, so be it. I'll play house with you and Gabriel, as he does have quite a little cult following behind him."
Katsuri had Sara, and now it seemed he and Matrim were going to be joining forces, none the less, the man would have gotten the hand that had not been digging in his nose offered out to him for a shake, making a wise crack as he did so mind you.
"I'd be glad to take my sledgehammers hand in battle, although, it truly is an odd day in hell when the sledgehammer plots to destroy of its own free will."

Matrim shook the guys hand, listening to him carefully, "Oh does he now?" Matrim said, it turned out that Matrim was learning more and more about this. More and more about Gabriel as it were, and it seemed he was going to have to take a few things into consideration with this agreement. He could help him take down Gabriel easily. Hell he could set him up to make the kill if he had the tools to do it. Then whatever Katsuri wanted to do to Linda would be his problem. Whatever Katsuri wanted to do to Matrim would also be his problem, because Matrim would sooner kill him than let him have a try.
But that wouldn't be a problem till after Matrim helped him with a few things. Besides, maybe Katsuri would get a little bored after bringing down a few Dragons. Leon would be the hardest one to take out, but Matrim wanted to fight him for himself.
"Just out of curiosity... this group of Gabriel's. Would it happen to be called the Black Knights?" Matrim asked, thinking about the last encounter with them. How many of them betrayed Gabriel, how many of them felt immense guilt for what they had helped take place, and how Shayne nearly died.
No mercy for any Black Knight this time around......
