Demetri waved a hand to motion for his henchmen to stop fighting with Gabriel for Reira’s possession. In fact, he told him to leave the house all together. This was definitely a situation he wanted to deal with himself, and not have any other third parties. It was admirable the way Gabriel protected Reira, but at the same time it pissed him off royally. Reira didn’t need protection from him, she needed to be protected from her past. And Gabriel was part of that past. This is what Demetri truly believed in, and therefore his mind was dead set that the lies he told her were perfectly justified.
“That is what you think boy. But I know that its best to keep her form such miseries. Say what you will, but my word is law when it comes to Reira. Now if you‘re done with such childish talk, I would like you to give her to me now.”
To his surprise however, Gabriel begged him…yes he begged him to allow Reira to stay with him. This was a new development. Demetri had always known that Reira and Gabriel were friends, but he had obviously mistaken just how good of friends they actually were. Such thoughts made sense though. It was no wonder Reira came looking for him and never forgot the boy. Demetri shook his head and grinned darkly. His thumb and index finger squeezing the bridge of his nose.
“A new chance?,” he questioned, eyes still hidden. “Tell me --he violently hit the table into the wall with his hand--WHAT KIND OF LIFE CAN YOU GIVE HER!?” Oh yes, Demetri was quite angry now. To make matters worse, Alexis began crying. Such pathetic people he had surrounded himself with. He sent a dark look to Alexis, that said ‘If you sniffle one more time I’ll break your neck.’ Such a quaint girl to show tears so easily. Her words were listened too nonetheless.
Demetri was calming down. What Alexis had said made him think. All he wanted for Reira was for her to be happy. At home she seemed content, but she was never her normal, energetic self. She seemed empty. Perhaps Gabriel could help put the spark back into her, but Demetri would have a very hard time letting her go, knowing that she would soon be presented with the truth.
“I want you to answer my question…very carefully.”
After all, this could be the answer that would change his mind.

Gabriel clentched Reira in close still ready to fight tooth and nail for her once again. Their past had been one of chaos and bliss. If things had gone as Gabriel had intended, before the Black Knights before ambition took over they'd be in a very different place but then again Reria wouldn't be ther, it his arms. Safe.
"WHAT KIND OF LIFE CAN YOU GIVE HER!?”
It was difficult to think of what he could give to her, the chances of pain and trouble increased. In fact Gabriel could promise nothing but hardship, it was simply the man he was. Always prepared to dive into danger and threaten his own life at the cost of other's. Gabriel sat there almost oblivious to Alexis at this point who seemed to be falling off into her own bout of hystaria, one Gabriel would rather have prevented.
“I want you to answer my question…very carefully.”
Gabriel stood carrying Reira bridal style as the henchmen had once been so prepared to do. He backed away back to the doorway.
"I can give her love, nothing more..." He said in a dull voice as he would carry her up the stairs to his bedroom setting her within the master bed to rest til the drug effects wore off. Till then he'd drag a chair to the bed side and hold her hand ever watchful.
"Why don't we let her decide her future, rather than give her the past." Gabriel said not turning to look at Demetri.

Demetri studied Gabriel. It appeared that he was contemplating the question critically. It was best he do so too, for it wasn’t everyday that Demetri was lenient. Hell, he probably wouldn’t have gave this option to anyone else. But since he new Gabriel quite well and had good ‘connections’ with him, he decided he’d give the boy a chance. There was also the significance that Reira held for Gabriel, something that Demetri couldn’t help but take into consideration.
A few more minutes passed. Alexis had made her exit and Gabriel began to lift Reira and carry her elsewhere. Having no other choice but to follow, they soon entered a master bedroom. Gabriel had voiced his answer. And though it was not something as grand as he hoped, it was simple, yet had deep meaning. Arms crossed over his chest, he stared at Gabriel with scrutinizing cerulean eyes, watching him as he sat there holding Reira’s hand.
“Love huh?,” he grunted, sitting on the end corner of the bed. He couldn’t believe that he was going to do what he was going to do, but for some reason he couldn’t help but think that this was exactly what Samara wanted for Reira. The whole situation had Samara written all over it. Sighing, Demetri finally caved. Reira really was his ultimate weakness. “I guess I don’t have the right to keep her own memories from her…” His gaze was to the wall. “…I just don’t have the heart to tell her the truth.”
The man would then rise to his feet, looking rather tired and worn. “I‘m leaving her in your hands,” he began, back to the both of them. “Do me a favor…treat her well and when the time comes, tell her the truth…everything. Remember how fragile her mind is right now, so be gentle. And..” Demetri would then glare at Gabriel. “If she comes to me crying because of you, I’ll make a bath rug from your head hair.” With that being said, the blond began to walk out of the room. “Oh and by the way, she‘ll wake up soon. I was never here.”
Now out of the house, Demetri boarded his stretch limo, the smell of coffee already brewing. You’ll finally live again.

The man had given up. In other words this would have been a great success for Gabriel considering the legendary Demetri never gave up on a prize. Perhaps in other words he didn't give up merely knew what was best. Bah the old man could tell himself whatever he liked Gabriel had secured her finally. Safe and sound. The only thing threatening now was the truth. It would scare him more now than any foe he'd faced. Every peril and life he'd lived could not sum up to the serious nature of such a discord filled event.
Would she still love him when she woke? Would she still love him when Gabriel had told her all of the truth? Would she forgive him for pressing her into harm?
Gabriel gulped hard down on his growing fears. Reguardless of what happened he had to do what was right. Reira deserved the choice. Gabriel squinted as he'd look down upon her fragile features. He leaned along the bedside; his hand still clutching hers, Gabriel managed to get his free hand to cup the side of her face feeling the instant warmth between the two surfaces. He'd curl her hair behind an ear taking a good hard look at the sleeping beauty.

Reira felt like she was floating, but she knew it was only a dream. An unexplainable one to say the least. When her feet touched what appeared to be solid ground, immediately images began to fly past her, some even flew through her chest, leaving an odd sensation. Slowly these ‘things’ began to take shape and she could recognize them as being the silhouettes of human beings. There were two of them, a male and a female, sitting on the ground in a grassy plain. The two were still unknown, but the male was outlined in a familiar blue.
Floating above the two figures, she saw that they were in the middle of an intimate moment, for the two shared a passionate kiss. The female’s arm were wrapped around the other’s neck, a black, Venetian ring upon her finger. Brow furrowing, Reira reached her arm down to touch the odd ring…the only object other than herself in this arcane dream that wasn’t transparent. As soon as her fingertip stroked the surface of the hardened glass, the couple disappeared, as if smoke in the wind. Once again, the world was black…and she was alone.
Yet she didn’t feel alone, as crazy as that seemed. A certain presence could be felt. It felt almost so real that she could feel the faint brush of a finger across her cheek and the…how sore her freaking neck was!---
----Eyes blinking, her vision focused onto the face of Gabriel. She was slightly confused how she ended up in a bed and why her neck hurt so much, but seeing him there made her forget about all of that. There was just something about him that drew her to him. She smiled slightly and sat up, her hand still in his. She did remember the feel of them after all. This was her Gabriel, the one that never left her memories. Letting go of his hand she wrapped her arms around his torso and rested her head on his shoulder.
“I don’t know how I ended up from being in the living room into this bed, but I’m glad I woke up seeing you,” she said with a laugh. She would then pull away and hold him in arms length. “I‘m sorry if I'm acting strange…I have trouble remembering sometimes and I feel like we haven't seen in each other in so long.” It was a difficult thing for her to admit, but it was the truth. Damn it all.

Gabriel sat there with a complacent look on his face feeling the phantom limb stroke her hair feeling totally at peace. All aside from the fact that he could tell Reira everything and risk her leaving him once again. Having that bit of her leave him once and for all. Or lie and have her all to himself in a selfish way. Gabriel didn't reply for a good long while, he was rather caught in the sights of her beautiful cerulean gaze. He closed his eyes momentarily and would steal away a single short kiss.
"You were gone for quite awhile Rei..."
This is where it hurt the most. The heart did many strange things and judgment was one such deal. He needed to break his promise to Demetri, Reira had to know simply because it was right.
"You died Rei, I couldn't stop that.... But somehow you're still here now, you had a past that was not of your recolection, something I stole from you..." Gabriel said his eyes batting furiously as to avoid angry tears.
He was hating himself here, why had he told her anything at all? He was stronger than this. He could become stronger. His hand wouldn't leave her not til Reira forced him away.
"I cared about you more than anyone could...enough to even tell you all of the truth when even your father couldn't tell you." Breaking this news would be bad. Bad for him, Bad for Demetri, Bad for the male race.

Her eyes never left his. In that moment of silence she so wished she would know what he was thinking. It almost drove her crazy to the point where she wanted to look away and hide under the blankets. Did she say something wrong? As if on cue, Gabriel gave her a sweet kiss. She returned it, the taste of his lips familiar on her mouth. Opening her eyes to look upon him once again, she could almost feel that insecure empty place in her being shrink. She felt lighter, happier…then he said things that shook her to her core. Immediately that happy feeling changed to instant anger.
“Why are you lying to me?!” Reira got off the bed and stood before him, noticing that he would not let go of her hand. Her emotions were running wild and that familiar headache was back. “How is that even possible? If you wanted to make up stories to me, you should’ve said something a little more plausible!” Reira shook her head in disbelief and tried to pull away from him, but he wouldn’t let go. Instead he continued telling her of her past, a past that was so different then the one that she believed was true. By the end of his recollection, she was on her knees, her head drooped, her hair covering the emotion in her face.
There was just so much information. “I don’t know what to believe anymore!,” she said in a desperate tone. Holding his hand more tightly for support. “I’m Reira Marino…not Reira DeMorvick. I don’t know who Matrim is. I never…” Her breath stopped abruptly as memory after memory came rushing at her like a thousand shards of glass. Her eyes were wide and the once strong grip she had on Gabriel’s hand fell to a pathetic weak tug. “No. My life was a lie? I don’t…” Standing up on two feet, she abruptly snatched her hand away from him, a wild look in her eye. “I don’t believe you, I don’t believe anything!!” Reira swiftly ran out of the room. She just needed to get away for a minute, to catch her breath.
She turned a corner and found a bathroom, where she would then slam the door shut and lock the door. Breathing heavily, she forced the tears back. Reira would not cry. Hands squeezing her head, she began to pace, recollecting her rampaging thoughts. Was she going crazy? Possibly, it was a lot of information to process. Stopping abruptly, she stared at herself in the mirror, then screamed. “WHO AM I!?!” In a fit of rage, she picked up a random object and threw it at the mirror, successfully shattering it, erasing the person staring back at her. She knew it was the truth. She could feel it was the truth. Then she broke. Collapsing to the glass littered floor, she let it all come out.
“Fuckk! God damnit!!,” she hollered. She remembered now. She remembered Matrim. Keira. A lot of fucked up shit, in the life and times of Reira DeMorvick. Most importantly, she remembered all about Gabriel. Though she knew a lot of ‘pieces in her memory were still missing, she’d could work on those later. She knew enough now. Then, she started laughing. “This is messed up shit, do you know that Gabriel, my love!” Standing up, she grabbed a piece of glass and held out her arm. “We’ll see if I’m really Reira DeMorvick.” Piercing her forearm, she dug the glass shard in deep, and dragged it all the way to her elbow. If she really was who he said she was, it would heal, right? The blood kept dripping and the wound remained as it was. She wasn't healing. She laughed again. With a cold, dark look in her eyes, she kicked opened the locked door and walked out into the hallway, presenting her arm to him.
“Oh Gabriel,” she said intensely. “I know now. I’m Reira fucking DeMorvick!” The girl started laughing in a hysteric fit, then slowly that laughter changed into despicable tears and all out sobbing. Shame, Reira hated crying in front of others.

Gabriel found himself on the floor. Nothing but a cold expression focusing intently at the ground with an intense force. He knew this would have ended badly but once again it was Reira's life he had no edge in taking that away from her as he'd learned once before. People's lives were not for fun and games on his part. He hated himself for everthing that was happeneing but once more he deserved it. Merely the consequences of his actions catching up with him.
A slam of shattering glass and a shout startled him yet he didn't move. Reira was in pain, was it right for him to have told her? Demetri was all too right, she was fragile and Gabriel had expected more. Much too much.
*Bang*
The locked door bolted off intensly to reveal the woman there bleeding against the ground. In an instant Gabriel's expression changed as he came to his feet.
“Oh Gabriel,” she said intensely. “I know now. I’m Reira fucking DeMorvick!”
The sobs were muffled by his inteense breathing as Gabriel rushed at an inhuman speed across the room and down the hall to tower over Reira. He pulled loose the towels and drapped them around her arm applying pressure all the while getting down to her level stroking her hair and wiping awy the tears providing calming coos.
"Reira, I won't leave you so long as you can stay with me.." And he meant it... more ways than one.
Gabriel grasped her tightly as he near hurtled the stairs landing gracefully at the bottem rushing in the kitchen. A quick jut of his hand would sweep free the contents on the surface. He'd place Reira down gently before heading to work on the wound. She'd cut it at an angle where stitchings would be difficult and she'd have lost all her blood by the time ambulence arrived.
"Fuck! God Damnit Reira stay with me..." He'd loom over her climbing atop the table as he pulled back the towel to reveal the wound.
"Rei, you've gotta trust me... this may hurt a little bit... I'll make it as quick as possible.." Gabriel said quickly not waiting for her to stop his as he placed a hand over the would and activated his Qi. The heat from it would cauterize the wound swiftly killing all infection with the enhanced radiation.
"I'm so sorry..."

Gabriel sprang immediately into action upon seeing the cut on her arm. She honestly didn’t know how bad it was, but one could see that she had cut rather deep and she was bleeding a little too much for comfort. Though the cut was not across her wrist, it was deep and long enough to have the same effect. As he furiously wrapped her arm in various towels, she leaned against him heavily, her mind trying to piece everything together. She remembered she could heal herself, so it troubled her to know that it wasn’t working now. It made her think that maybe what she thought was the truth now, was actually more lies to masque the other lies. She was a mess.
“I’ll stay, I’ll stay…I, I’m just so scared, and sorry.” She wrapped her good arm around him and vaguely held onto his strong form, as he vaulted down the stairs and into the kitchen. Gabriel set her to sit down on the table. Her vision was getting blurry, either from the lessening tears, or the lack of blood in itself…it was all she could do to support herself in a sitting position. She hardly gathered that she was in the kitchen and if someone looked closely they could see the glazed look in her eye and the paling of her face. The dark prince returned, removing the reddened towel from her arm. Reira was too out of it to share his worry. Or maybe she just didn’t care about her well being at the moment. His form looming over her, she buried her face into his shoulder with the promise of pain.
Her whole body tensed rigidly as she felt his Qi at work. It only lasted a few seconds, but boy were those seconds one of the most painful in her life. She moaned out in pain once and finally let out a relieved breath when it was over. Her head was still on his shoulder, her good arm around his neck, hand at its nape, squeezing. She refused to look at her arm, so she remained in the same position. She wasn’t ready to let go just yet. What a stupid thing she just did to Gabe. Stupid, but necessary. It was a very good wake up call. Still holding his neck, she pressed her cheek against his and embraced him.
“Love you, Gabe.”
She felt weak, pathetic, and exhausted, but those were strong words. At that moment, she accepted everything. Confidence swarmed in her eyes. Oh yes, Reira was back, better than ever.

“Love you, Gabe.” Gabriel's heart throbbed as he held her there silently. The fear dissipating but not entirely over.
The constant thrum of blood in his ears and the intense shock he was suffering from extreme fear. He wouldn't be the cause of her death again, and truth was he did love her, he just couldn't say the words... He was guilty for so much and Reira hadn't made him suffer enough. Gabriel bit down on his lip and performed a very unbeckoming look upon his face just trying to keep his sanity. To think for just a moment on what to do.
"shhhh...rest.." The only words he could force out.
"Marcus!" Gabriel turned with a wuick shout, "Get and IV in here now!"
His hand would trace across the newly formed scar. He'd become something he never expected, a beast like Matrim who burned people, who made his mark on them as if animals. And again he was disgusted. Saving her life wasn't enough, he had to do it the right way. Gabriel picked her up again moving into the living room where he'd place Reira on the couch. He'd sit in close proximity never leaving. Never.

Reira meant what she said, there was no false tone in her voice. She really did love Gabriel. In the past she failed to notice such feelings she harboured for him, or for a better description, purposely ignored them. At that time she was with Matrim and he held her heart firmly. But now it was different. She felt like a new person with a clean slate. The past was in the past, including Matrim. Reira was ready for a change. After she stated her feelings for him, the two of them remained hugging.
She didn’t expect Gabriel to say anything back. How could she? The boy had six months to move on with his life and create new love interests. Reira lost that time. Because of her partial memory return, Reira had continued her life from moments in the past. She was living in the past but resided in the future. It was just plain fucked up, but that’s how it was. Not wanting to dwell on such thoughts, she pushed them away and was just happy that she was with him.
“Thank you, but do you really think an IV is necessary?,” she asked softly, watching him examine the new scar on her arm. He didn’t answer and instead looked disturbed. It was obvious that he felt guilty for marring her skin. He shouldn’t though, Reira did it to herself and he saved her. “Don’t worry about it. It’s fine. I was being stupid, and brought it upon myself. I’m sure it’ll fade. You have nothing to feel guilty about.” Her voice was genuine. Before she could say anything else, Gabriel had picked her up and moved her onto the couch, where he would sit protectively beside her.
Sighing, Reira leaned into him, her eyes on his face. “I forgive you.” Her face was serious. She held nothing against him. Well wasn’t she just blunt today.

"I forgive you"
Gabriel's eys turned up to finally take her all in. Ever since she dropped into his life again he hadn't got a chance at rest, Alexis had dropped by spilling her own fears, Demetri with his distrust. Gabriel hadn't gotten to take Reira in for all that she was and now that she lie before him in mortal danger there was nothing left to do. But nothing became a whole lot of everything in his mind. Everything feeling warm once again as the cold enclosement he'd concealed himself in came to life. A shy smile became more aparent and everything would make sense again very soon.
"I'll make it better...I promise." He said in a low voice.
Never in his life had he been the hero. Never concidered a good soul and he wouldn't expect the same treatment here, it didn't matter when matters of the heart came into play. Cerulean eyes had distracted him for too long. In but a moment Marcus was at his side with the IV in tow.
"Lord, would you like me to get a new shirt as well?"
Gabriel looked down subconsciously noticing Reira's blood pooled on him. He made a silent nod turning to the IV so he could help her. The needle was small and would only feel like a soft pinch against the skin.
"I need to stick this in (ooc:Thats what she said), it'll help you recover faster.." He said most serenely giving her the small pinch in her vein comparably nothing to the burn.
Once finished Gabriel tore loose his shirt and moved a hand down to entwine with hers. For comfort... For the both of them. Nothing but a smile. She was alive.
Gabriel could never be forgiven. It was in his nature.

Rei merely nodded when he promised to make things better. Honestly everything was fine the way it was. Well not the whole ‘Ah I’m bleeding save me’ deal that just took place but the fact that he was here and she could actually feel him was all that she needed. Snuggling in closer to him she cherished that. She felt so safe with him and his words never ceased to calm her. The point was he was real, and not a ghost that, for six months, lingered in her memory.
A servant then came and offered Gabriel a new shirt. A very good idea. “Sorry about that,” she said sheepishly. “Oh and sorry about the mirror…and your window…and making this night way too dramatic!” She couldn’t help but laugh at that. Why? Well because it was such a Reira thing, drama. Now that she thought about it…man did she cause a lot. It was like she was walking destruction. On second thought, she’d rather not think about that either. And what better thing to take her mind off of that particular thought, then Gabriel shirtless. She knew temptation, but this was just ridiculous.
“Oh no no, I don’t need the IV---Ouch!” So much for protesting. Gabriel had it in her (ooc: That’s what she said…again!) before she could pull away. She had no idea where he stored all these IV’s, but if it would make her feel better faster, she couldn’t argue with that. She felt horrible…yet oddly enough, even before the IV was in a vein, she felt a restoratative muse in her body. Maybe her Qi wasn’t completely gone? Here’s to hoping. And hellllloo Gabriel!
Taking his hand gratefully, she almost pulled him a little too close. She could safely say that tonight was about basking in each other’s company, in a non physical way of course. Even though she was already beginning to feel better, it would just be unethical to get so energetic…haha right?
“You know…you and I, we’ll be alright,” she said confidently, staring at his alluring eyes.
Careful R, we all know how unethical you can be.

Gabriel's hand would never leave hers, it felt good (Gawd...thats what she said; totally ruining the moment..lol); like the missing part of himself that had lied dormant since last he saw her. Gabriel could remember back a few months when he'd seen her body in the casket. Matrim had buried her withought a second thought and deemed it worthy to move on so quickly.Gabriel on the other hand lurked the graveyard til he got in contact with Demetri. Whenhe'd seen her dead figure, he couldn't show any emotion, from that day on he'd been cold. Alexis ahd been there to nurse his woulds and perhaps even give him a reason to continue on but it could never feel this way.
Gabriel moved his free hand to her cheek, "Good, as do I love.." He felt the words slip out turning a shade of red trying to act as though he hadn't. The meaning was behind it but feeling vulnerable was an inevitable side effect and in some respects Gabriel didn't want to hurt.
"Lord Seran...." Gabriel didn't acknowledge Marcus' call. Rather he was lost again, trapped behind her gaze for a short while. No, an Eterinty.
"I suppose I'll leave you be then..." Marcus replied in a low tone leaving the shirt on the table before dissappearing from the room obviously knowing more than he should.
Gabriel gave a small wink to Reira before lowering his head for the first long kiss he'd gotten the chance to since her "Reirth." It would break his old heart of fortitude and rebuild a new one, far stronger than could ever be shattered.

The brunette yelled at herself inwardly. She honestly hated what she was thinking about right now, but she couldn’t really help it, it was just the way she was. That and the fact that Keira was an insane patrician in sex and since they had recently merged into one entity, Reira was finding that she had a lot of ‘Keira’ tendencies. But enough on that, she had other things to focus on. Hand gripping his a tightly, she felt her face heat intensely when he said the L word.
Smiling happily, with which she was really happy at the moment, Reira rested her forehead against his. This moment was perfect, until Marcus interrupted. Though Rei found the butler to be very amusing and heard her laughter fill the air. Course, her attention was only momentarily off of Gabriel, he soon captivated her again. She was in his spell and wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon.
“Where were we?”
His answer was all too good. Their lips connecting, Reira kissed passionately back. She promised herself that she wouldn’t go too far, but there was nothing wrong in having maybe a little bit of fun. After a few more seconds, she would pull away, but just so far so that their lips would be barely touching. She had a lustful look in her ocean blue eyes. If he would try to close the distance between their lips, she would teasingly pull away and grin. Oh so close but no treat. With a grin, her tongue gently slid along his bottom lip.
Come on Gabriel, let’s see what the Dark Prince has to offer, without crossing that forbidden line.
