Well, Masaru was back at PHS 259. The beginning, and quite possibly, the end. It seemed like it was just yesterday Masaru left Japan for California. A lot has happened since then. The last time Masaru was here though, he didn't have enough time for classes for right as he entered the campus he was abducted by the enforcers. Oh, that was fun.
Well, today was the beginning of the week, a sunny day, and school hasn't finished yet. Around lunch time, most of the students were truant or hanging around campus waiting for something interesting to happen. The question was, will something happen today? Masaru hoped for a normal day to come his way, at least once.
Seeing a bench under a tree, Masaru strolled over and took a seat, and just enjoyed the peace and quiet for once.

"Hey- welcome to 259."
David, once again for the millionth time this week, approached the male from the rear ((XD)) and hopped over the bench, taking a seat. He assumed the male was new judging by the fact that David had never seen him before. He was glad- not many students voluntarily joined this school, what with recent reports of school damage and strange fighters. Still, having someone accept the place and enjoy what there was made him feel good to be there. He leaned back, placing his arms up on the bench before sticking out a hand.
"David Blaze. You got a name newcomer?"
His voice was calm and collected, obviously playing the part of a welcoming individual. He wondered- why did this guy look slightly familiar to him? Had he seen him before? He shook off the feeling.
there were planty of people in the world, this guy must have just reminded him of someone.

"Hey- welcome to 259."
Masaru was slightly taken aback by this man's cheerful welcome. Had this place changed so much in the couple months he was gone? He doubted it. Perhaps this guy was trying to catch Masaru off his guard, though not much could be said. The images overlapping the man held no threatening positions. Masaru was safe, for now.
"David Blaze. You got a name newcomer?"
Masaru looked at the man differently then. David blaze... That name sounded familiar. Ah yes, Gabriel mentioned him. A possible ally. No need to get defensive then... No need to get defensive yet...
"Hello, my name is Masaru, I transferred back here a couple days ago... Though the first time I was here I didn't have the chance to see the school much..."
It was kinda hard to see the school when you are locked away in a holding cell and being tested on...

David frowned.
"Really? Well nice to meet you Masaru...im sorry to hear that you didnt get to see the school. What happened?"
He began to have drifting memories, some of a man in a cell, and others of being thrown through the wall of the Correctional facility by a bomb. He didn't remember totally if this guy was there...but he thought it was the case. Regardless, he would wait and listen to what the young man had to say. He, in truth, had no idea the guy knew Gabriel, though the young Seran may have mentioned it before David had no real memory of it.
He cleared his throat, watching as the young fellow would speak.

Masaru looked down. It was not as hard to mention it now, though it still felt weird relating what happened. The Correctional Facility was a good and bad experience for Masaru. He felt accomplished and as if he failed at the same time.
"I was one of the students that participated in the testing at the Correctional Facility. I do not remember much while I was there, yet what I do remember is I freed many other prisoners and started a rebellion from the inside. After that I ended up in PHS 42 for a month or so. The whole time I was enrolled at 259 I was in the Correctional Facility. You could say my memories of this school aren't very fond."

David frowned.
So, the guy WAS at the correctional facility when he and Unfettereds gang stormed it. He thought he remembered seeing the mans face, and so he sighed when the guy went into the story. It was a hard time for everyone, a horrific incident that took the lives of students for months. If David could get his hands on that Barker... He returned his Gaze to Masaru.
"I'm sorry to hear of that. I was one of those who helped free the people there, and i remember the atrocities that took place in that god forsaken building. You have my apologies for not seeing you freed sooner." He cracked his neck. "You know anyone here at the school then, or..?"
He wanted to see what kind of connections the boy had. He said he was from 42...had to gain knowledge, or as much as the young Captain could.
Knowledge meant influence. Never could have enough when you are the leader.

Masaru nodded. He didn't quite have the memory he wished he could, though he knew a few people here and there. Perhaps this new School Captain was looking for connections too?
"I do have a connection to most of the students that were in the facility, since we were put through some... situations together. Mainly Dots and Emily. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to get last names in the facility. I also have been on good terms with Gabriel and a man known as Unfettered. There were a few others but their names escape me."
Masaru looked toward David, looking for any hints that this man held any worth in those names, perhaps he would be able to gain some 'bonus points' by talking about people David thought highly of, perhaps not. The only thing to do now is weigh options, and see where the flow took him.

"Theyre all respectable, except maybe Gabriel. He's on my iffy list." David spoke simply, and was in fact rather impressed with this boys connections. They were strong ones, though it depended on who you spoke to. Not everyone cared for emily or for Unfettered, but in truth it was the own individual interactions that worked hand in hand with friendship. He smiled.
"Well, im glad to see you at least have some friends." He shrugged.
"You learn much in the way of fighting in the Correctional Facility? I dont really know TOO much about what went on there so i figured i'd ask since your the most comfortable talking about it."
Or possibly the boy would be more offensive?
Maybe, but David wasn't really worried about it.

Masaru shrugged at his question. There was a question he still asked himself. He pondered it a bit, played with words he could use, then said what he thought was the right thing to say.
"I believe all that the Correctional Facility did was weaken what I could have been. The Facility changed everyone it was connected to, almost always for the worst. If it weren't for my horrible vision, yes, I suppose the correctional facility has made me physically stronger."
Masaru stared outward, the whole world itself was still a blur to him. He couldn't match figures up before they started falling outward again. Every image of the same thing doing something different. It didn't make sense.

David smiled. It was a good answer, and an honest one. The guy seemed kind enough, and David could probably learn to like him. He wondered if, knowing Gabriel, te boy was somehow connected to the Black Knights. He shrugged.
"A place where drug injections and madmen live would probably do that to a person." He looked over at the boy after having glanced away, giving a big "nono" look to two guys about ready to fight. and they had listened. He cracked his neck.
"So, what kind of person do you see yourself as? You aren't goin to give me cause for worry are ya?" He said it in a playful manner, though he did in fact mean what he said. He chuckled. Ah...the life of a Captain.

Masaru yet let a hum escape his mouth. Hmmmm. He turned to the school captain, and with a sincere look, answered honestly.
"I see myself as an opportunist. I always have to be doing something to better others and myself, Mr. Blaze. You need not worry about me, though I do have motives to try and better the school. I would rather remove the need for violence in the school system. Perhaps end corporal punishment and replace it with something more effective."
Masaru was a man with Honor, and he could not lie to any man who seemed to ask him an honest question. What was David's take on this matter, though?

"I see."
He wondered about this guys past history. Everyone here seemed to have a fucked up life, and he was throwing himself in the same catagory. Still though, curiosity was generally something he had trouble with so, he asked questions that would probably delve into this males personal life.
"Well, what about your parents? Weren't they a little terrified about thier son being gone for months and months?"
David had no parents, but it seemed like nobody did these days. 259 was like both a school for fighters who are fifteen and think thier badass and a school for kids whose parents died or abanonded them. It was like a run down building for the mentally fucked. He sighed. Still, he talked down about the place yet he loved it and its people. He was wealthy, had more money than probably anyone here, but he found himself drawn to the students and the real way in which they acted. No pampered nature and worry of fingernails here.
Speaking of which....he needed to file those...

Masaru gave David Blaze a sideways look. How much would it be safe to tell him? It wouldn't be quite alright if he were to say his parents ran an underground business to unite the world under one leader and end wars through a dictatorship. He himself was shipped to America to avoid any kidnappings or being involved in the war. In a way you could say his parents wanted to protect him, and in another way they didn't want any baggage that could be used against them. It was all a matter of protection. He guessed he could say the gist of it.
"My Parents sent me to America for my own protection, or perhaps to make me stronger? Either way I suppose they believe nothing as bad could happen in America than it could in Japan. I grew up with a wealthy family in Japan, they have many enemies in Asia so I suppose this is probably the safest place to be at the moment..."
Just far enough so that he was away from any immediate danger, yet close enough to keep an eye on him. Masaru took a moment to ponder what it actually was going on with his family. He hadn't heard from them in a while. Well, enough with the one sides Q&A, Masaru probably should ask some questions himself or David might gain some sort of suspicion.
"I haven't heard much about you, you seem different than most students here. Why is it you take it upon yourself to welcome a newcomer?"

He smiled. the boy told the truth, but David didnt believe it was all of it. He charged his Qi, though didnt make it obvious. He was glad the guy kept some of himself secret- if you went around telling everyone everything about yourself you may end up hurt. He took a deep breath.
"I'm the School Captain."
Simple and direct. He stared at Masaru without blinking, and emenated every ounce of power his body held. He did it, not to show off, but to warn. To show that if he was lied to, if the boy hurt people, he would BREAK him. His smile was strangely calm, and he hoped to come off as friendly yet assertive.
"I'm in love with this school, and i watch over its populace like they were my own children. I come to welcome you warmly, and im glad you are here, but make no mistake, i also come to warn you." He didn't blink. "Have a great time, learn, grown, make friends. But obey this schools laws. No fighting on school grounds. No sex. No skipping classes. Basic laws below that should be obvious. If you don't i'll be there to say hello. And it wont be as friendly as it is now." He laughed.
"Other than that, i just want you to know if you have any questions, im there for you. Feel free to ask."

Masaru stared at this man calmly. Threats didn't hold any value to him, though Masaru knew if he truly wanted to he could start a fight and easily get destroyed in a matter of seconds. That mattered not, Masaru has already knocked on deaths door multiple times, nothing frightened him. Or so thats what he thought, yet he felt his heart rate increase, and his tone was a little higher.
"Ah yes, I remember now, The Pillars are exempt from the schools laws. No need to worry about me, I don't plan on having fights on school campus. Theres a whole world out there, why waste my opportunities in school by fighting? No, I'm afraid the only fighting you will see me do on campus would be mental battles, for the school offers the pursuit of knowledge."
